When Rhodey first strapped on a suit in Iron Man 2, we got to know him as War Machine. But then Iron Man 3 gave him a red-white-and-blue paint job, renaming him Iron Patriot. But then, of course, in The Avengers: Age of Ultron he was back to being called War Machine.
