Posted: 07 Dec 2015 09:45 PM PST

When it comes to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there are two camps of fandom. There are those who are such junkies for anything Star Wars that they happily hunt down spoilers. And then there are those of us who are equally happy J.J. Abrams and his cast and crew are keeping a tight seal on things before the movie's release. So if you're here to find out what happens in The Force Awakens, sorry, we can't help you out. In fact, this entire post is a round up of things we know for sure won't be in the movie.  Unless you consider the absence of something a spoiler. If that's the case, move along. This isn't the Star Wars info you're looking for.   No Post Credit Scene Marvel has made the post-credits scene an expected part of shared...

Posted: 07 Dec 2015 08:15 PM PST

click image to enlarge In advance of the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two boxset arriving on shelves this month, a bunch of little extras featured on its many discs are beginning to tease their way online. We've seen a little behind-the-scenes commentary and funny Guardians of the Galaxy auditions, and now today brings new featurettes on both Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. The Doctor Strange one may be of most interest to Marvel fans since we haven't seen anything from the movie yet, due out in November of 2016. Not only does the clip drop a bunch of Doctor Strange imagery -- including what might be the first piece of concept art detailing Cumberbatch as the cosmic hero; see above -- but we also get some soundbites from director...

Here's When You Can Watch the First Trailer for 'Star Trek Beyond'

Posted: 07 Dec 2015 06:15 PM PST

One major advantage to Star Wars: The Force Awakens hitting theaters on December 18 is that along with it will be a bunch of new movie trailers touting some of next year's biggest movies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of those movies will indeed be Star Trek Beyond. Yes, a Star Trek movie being promoted in front of a Star Wars movie. It's fate! Star Trek Beyond doesn't hit theaters until July 22, 2016, but that's not stopping Paramount from taking advantage of the hype around The Force Awakens by promoting a movie many Star Wars fans will also be interested in. What do we know about Star Trek Beyond right now? Not much. We know Justin Lin (Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6) replaced J.J. Abrams as director on this third installment, and that Simon...

Posted: 07 Dec 2015 03:30 PM PST

Each year Ehrlich compiles what we consider to be among the best of all the year-end mashups, positioned as a list his top 25 movies of the year. But it's not just a countdown of 25 movies -- it really is a work of art in a lot of ways, as Ehrlich romanticizes the viewer with expertly connected clips and music. Check it out below. THE 25 BEST FILMS OF 2015: A VIDEO COUNTDOWN from david Ehrlich on Vimeo.   Chances are likely your own personal list will differ greatly from Ehrlich's, who tends to favor lesser known fare and international releases on occasion -- or, well, movies that aren't easy to come by at your local multiplex. But that's a good...

Posted: 07 Dec 2015 02:45 PM PST

As Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games franchise, Josh Hutcherson found great success and enjoyed a huge upswing in popularity. From a young man with a crush on Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), he grew into a very capable warrior who must then endure an extended period of torture before returning to the side of the rebels in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (above). With the conclusion of the series, will Hutcherson seek another big studio franchise in which to star? Will he head toward independent films? Or try and mix amd match the two? As a youngster, Hutcherson evidently had a burning desire to act, prompting his family to move from Kentucky to Los Angeles to give him greater opportunities. That move paid off, with young Hutcherson almost immediately landing roles in...
