Watch: New 'Batman v Superman' Trailer Reveals Doomsday and a Ton More

Posted: 03 Dec 2015 02:14 AM PST

The second full-length trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has dropped, and it's a doozy. There's a lot to devour in this one, starting with our first look at the dynamic between Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent -- and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), who's much different from any other previous version we've seen of the character -- as well as another major villain many expected would make an appearance: Doomsday.  Watch the full trailer below. Another huge part of the new trailer is Wonder Woman, who we see get in on the Doomsday action and kinda save both Supes and Bats, but unlike Wayne and Kent, we don't see the dressed-down version of Wonder Woman, Diana Prince. But this is still a pretty cool moment... The biggest debate when it comes...

Adam McKay Reveals Ideas For 'Anchorman 3' and 'Talladega Nights 2'

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 09:00 PM PST

Comedy sequels aren't always a good idea, because they're typically not an easy idea. The first movie tends to have a funny premise that isn't worth repeating unless there's a great twist to the situation. Still, the demand from fans of and studios behind successful comedies outweighs the creative need. Unless, perhaps, you're as powerful as Adam McKay. While promoting his new movie, The Big Short, he revealed ideas for sequels to a couple of his popular past efforts -- if he was actually genuinely interested in making them. "There are so many original ideas and it’s so much fun to create new worlds," he told Cinema Blend while admitting he's avoiding sequels for a while.  If he changes his mind, here are two...

Watch: A Clip From the Extras on This Ridiculous Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two Collector's Edition Set

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 07:30 PM PST

When the first phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe concluded, Disney rounded up all of the movies from Iron Man through The Avengers, stuffed them with extras, and put them in a super cool replica of the briefcase that held the Tesseract. And now that Phase Two of the MCU has concluded, Disney has taken everything from Iron Man 3 through Ant-Man, bundled them together with even more new special features, and hidden them inside an even cooler case that is a replica of the orb from Guardians of the Galaxy. Collector's editions don't get much cooler or more elaborate than this. The new Phase Two set, available exclusively through Amazon, releases on December 8, 2015, but you don't have to wait another week to start exploring its new goodies. We've got an...

Quick 'Kickboxer: Vengeance' Trailer Gets Sweaty With Dave Bautista, Gina Carano, and Jean-Claude Van Damme

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 06:00 PM PST

Considering how well Creed, a movie that passes the torch from one '80s action icon to a new generation, is being received by everyone, I wonder if the producers of Kickboxer: Vengeance are regretting making it a remake instead of a legacyquel. Sure, it's still got original star Jean-Claude Van Damme in it, but, unlike Sylvester Stallone in Creed, he's not actually playing the same character that helped launch his career back in 1989. This time around JCVD is playing Master Durand, the guy who helps train the new kickboxer, played by suntman Alain Moussi. The remake follows the original plot about a world champion martial artist who heads to Thailand to fight the man who killed his brother, this time played by everyone's new favorite quiet giant, Dave...

'Deadpool' Poster Gets Cheeky, But Does It Go Too Far?

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 04:30 PM PST

Ever since Marvel took a more direct role in producing its own movies, starting with Iron Man in 2008, our expectations have changed. Nowadays we expect blockbuster superhero adventures featuring top-of-the-line special effects in productions. We also expect those movies to be generally suitable for most of the family, i.e. rated PG-13. It wasn't always that way, though. Back in 1989, Dolph Lundgren starred in The Punisher, the first R-rated adaptation of a very violent comic book series. (Two more versions would follow.) As the 1990s got rolling, we saw The Crow, Timecop, and Judge Dredd, among others, followed by the Marvel property Blade in 1998. (Ryan Reynolds costarred in a sequel, Blade: Trinity, in 2004.) More recently, Watchmen became a big success in 2009, directed...

A New Browser Plugin May Save You From Seeing 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Spoilers

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 03:00 PM PST

We are only 16 days away from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Actually, that's 15 days if you count the preview screenings on the night of Thursday December 17. And it's only 14 days if you live in Europe. Or a mere 12 days if you happen to be going to the world premiere in Los Angeles. The point is, we are so, so close to The Force Awakens coming out. That also means we are so, so close to The Force Awakens spoilers coming out. Dodging spoilers is going to get harder and harder, but here's one tool that should help. It's a plugin for Google's Chrome browser that throws up a big warning sign if it senses that The Force Awakens spoilers may be on a page that you're visiting. It then gives you the option to brave forward or turn around. The...

New 'Captain America: Civil War' Image Features Iron Man, Captain America and Black Panther

Posted: 02 Dec 2015 01:30 PM PST

Now that we've all had time to digest the new Captain America: Civil War trailer... ... we can start to properly anticipate what looks like a much different Marvel movie than we've seen before. Captain America is on one side, Iron Man is on another, and when they can't hash out their differences through kind conversation...well, this happens. Entertainment Weekly has a report from the set in their latest issue, featuring a cover image that places Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) right in the middle of Iron Man and Captain America. Does that mean he's not on any one side in the debate to regulate the way superheroes operate? “In most of the movies, there’s no question who we should be siding with,” Evans tells EW. “We all agree...
