One of The Most Unique Horror Movies Ever Made Gets a Ridiculously Cool Follow-Up Posted: 22 Sep 2015 09:00 PM PDT A few years ago we told you about WNUF Halloween Special, one of the most unique horror movies ever made. The entire movie is presented as a taped broadcast of a 1987 public access TV news crew's attempt to spend Halloween night doing a live paranormal investigation of a local haunted house. It's not the scariest horror movie ever made, but the commitment to authenticity (there are even commercial breaks filled entirely with fake ads for local businesses) and the premise is just so cool and well executed. And now the minds behind it are back with another high concept project: WNUF TV28 Presents Frank Stewart Investigates, a vinyl and cassette tape compilation of audio recordings taken from the TV host's investigations prior to the ill fated broadcast of the WNUF... Check Out These Rare Shots of the Amazing Models Used for the Original 'Star Wars' Trilogy Posted: 22 Sep 2015 06:00 PM PDT Thanks to the birth of CGI, most films these days create their elaborate visual magic with the use of computers. However, before technology gave us powerful PCs, visual effects in films had to be created by hand – with skilled artists and technicians spending hours painstakingly painting matte backgrounds or building elaborate models and sets. These rare behind-the-scenes photos from the original Star Wars trilogy demonstrate just how much craftsmanship went into creating things found only in a galaxy far, far away. Posted: 22 Sep 2015 04:30 PM PDT This year's Oscar season just got a surprise addition. Well, Adam McKay managed to sneak away from Will Ferrell for a moment and direct a serious movie for a change (he also co-wrote the script with Love & Other... Liam Neeson Will Be 'The Commuter' --- How Will He Survive? Posted: 22 Sep 2015 03:00 PM PDT Liam Neeson is one busy fella! His latest suspense-thriller, The Commuter, will find him starring as a normal businessman who gets caught up in a criminal conspiracy that affects him and his fellow commuters, according to Deadline. The role will be a departure for him, in that he won't be able to draw upon "a particular set of skills," as he did in the Taken movies that made him a worldwide action star. Since the first installment in 2008, Neeson has displayed his action chops in Clash of the Titans, The A-Team, Unknown, The Grey, Wrath of the Titans, Battleship, Non-Stop, and Run All Night, and he's also set to star in upcoming action pictures such as The Returner and A Willing Patriot. Now, not all those movies have been straightforward action movies. Joe... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
