'Big Brother 17' Spoilers: Steve Is Breaking Up Liztin, Bless Him Posted: *Warning: BB17 spoilers ahead from the live feeds.* He may not be the hero "Big Brother 17" wants or deserves -- especially with that teddy bear he's now carrying around -- but Steve Moses is the hero of BB17 Week 11. Because he is the new Head of Household and he just nominated Austin Matelson and Liz Nolan for eviction. Yes, he's finally taking on the Austwins alliance of Austin/Liz/Julia. So maybe take a break from your bashing of Steve for not flipping the house for Meg and recognize that he's aiming for something better than a Julia eviction: He wants the heads of Liztin. And we're here for it! Julia and Liz are currently cursing Steve to high heaven, since he didn't put up Johnny Mac. So Steve haters may still be happy next week if they take him out. But for now, Steve is running the show. Which is to say, Vanessa Rousso is running the show. Vanessa got the deed to the BB17 house and she's not giving it up to anyone. Even if Austin or Liz comes down in the Power of Veto competition, Julia is most likely to go up, ensuring that the remaining Austin showmance member goes home. The only thing that could save the entire threesome is if Julia wins POV (again) and takes down Liz. Then Steve would have to put up Vanessa or Johnny, and Liz and Julia would decide who goes home. It would be great to see Steve turn on Vanessa, but -- at this point -- breaking up that powerful Austin/Liz/Julia threesome is more pressing. The POV comp will be held Saturday afternoon/evening and that should tell us which member of Liztin is most likely to join the jury house. How awkward that will be for them. Emily Ratajkowski Is Sick of 'Blurred Lines': 'It's the Bane of My Existence' Posted: Many of us had no idea who Emily Ratajkowski was until told she was the featured brunette in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video. She got special attention in the topless version and then suddenly had roles in "Gone Girl," "Entourage" and "We Are Your Friends." But there's a lot more to Emily than just a sexy figure, and in her new cover story with InStyleUK she clearly tries to distance herself from the controversial video: Yep, we seriously are. Because boobs. America loves and shames boobs in equal measure. On that note, Emily added: Her desire to be acknowledged for more than that body is completely understandable, but the visibility from "Blurred Lines" did seem to propel her onto the Hollywood scene. The video may be the bane of her existence but it may also be the reason for her current film career existence. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. Sorry, New 'Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers Hint to Gregory, Not Negan Posted: *Walking Dead comic book and filming spoilers ahead* "The Walking Dead" Season 6 is entering serious comic book territory. The supersized premiere airs October 11, but the second half of the 16-episode season is currently filming in Georgia. Previously, there were clues to filming at Hilltop Colony --an ally community for Alexandria and a major location in the comic -- and a casting notice for someone that sounded like Paul "Jesus" Monroe, a badass Hilltop resident and future Rick Grimes buddy. The Spoiling Dead Fans has fresh updates on Jesus, who appears to now be filming with the group (no name for the actor yet, though). And now there's a new casting notice for Episode 11 and beyond that has fans kinda split. Is it for Gregory, the tool who runs Hilltop, or Negan, the much-anticipated next major villain? First, here's TVLine's tease, on Team Negan: Wrong, if you ask Spoil the Dead. They have the full breakdown for the character of "Rich" (not the real name) and they believe it's for Gregory, with Negan still to come later in the season, or Season 7. Here's the full casting notice: Gonna have to go with Team Gregory on this one. The age, the description, the timing -- they fit more with the Hilltop leader than Negan. Gregory is not someone we're looking forward to meeting, mostly because he's annoying, but it's good to see more comic book characters enter the fold. Honestly, Jesus' arrival is the best news, but the Negan casting is going to send the fandom into a frenzy. And, for the record, we still think he's going to take out Glenn, not Daryl, despite some fans thinking they'll go for a TV twist. Do you agree that this casting call sounds more like Gregory than Negan? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Watch Mark Ruffalo Own the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Bloopers Posted: Sometimes the Avengers just fail to assemble correctly. But that's half the fun! Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has its digital release this Tuesday, September 8, and it's out on DVD/Blu-ray on October 2. One of the many extras coming with the release is a gag reel, and you can watch it now in the video below. Several stars are showcased in the bloopers, including Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgård, and Mark Ruffalo. Sam Jackson closes the video with a strong mock smackdown to Scarlett for going "all stealth mode, motherf--ker" out of the frame. Stellan has a weird line about a swimsuit. But Mark basically owns the gag reel with his struggle to get through Dr. Banner's unpronounceable dialogue and his random but perfect "Can I ask you something?" Columbo impression. Peter Falk would be proud, man. Check it out: Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Chris Evans Reveals His Soft Spot For Romance Movies (EXCLUSIVE) Posted: Chris Evans has played pretty much every role under the sun and has spent a better part of the last four years bring Captain America to life. So it's no surprise that Evans is feeling ready to hang up his shield and try something new -- directing. "Before We Go" marks his directorial debut and, since he also stars in the film, gives us hope that he isn't ready to stop acting all together. Evans sat down with us to chat all about his directing hopes, what it's like to wear a lot of hats while making a movie, and the scene that he felt the most pressure to nail. Moviefone: You've been talking about wanting to direct for a while now. What was it about this movie that made you chose it as your directorial debut? Chris Evans: Well, to be very candid, it was a combination of factors. It certainly was a script that I enjoyed, but it also was a script that had producers that were willing to give me a chance. You can want to direct all day long, but it's a matter of who's going to let you have the opportunity. So with this script, I certainly was passionate about the story, but, wonderfully, it had some producers who were willing to take a gamble. This movie does something that not a lot of movies do these days, and that's focusing on just two people talking and getting to know their story. Was there ever a time where you got too caught up in directing when you were supposed to be focusing on the acting? Yeah. One of the things I like about the story is that you have these long scenes. A lot of times in films, you've got things that last maybe five pages -- in theater you've got things that last 30-40 pages, and some of these scenes are some very long walk and talks. The problem is, if you're in the scene and you do giant walk and talks - you know, seven or eight pages of dialogue - you don't always have the opportunity to run back to the monitor and watch the tape back as a director. So you are kind of going off of gut. You're kind of saying to your producers: 'Was that okay? Do we need to go again?' It can be tricky, certainly there were times in the editing room where you watch the footage and you say, 'Man, I wish I would've been able to sit in the chair and watch these scenes as they were happening.' So, it was a challenge, but I learned a lot. What would be your dream movie or genre to direct? I've always liked big, sweeping epics. I like "Legends of the Fall." I like "Braveheart," but it's a little action-y. These big movies that kind of have these grand plots, that span long lengths of time, and that are emotionally charged. I like romance movies. Was there one scene in particular in the movie you had the hardest time approaching as a director? Grand Central Station. The first two days of filming were at Grand Central. We had to film the opening of the movie and the end of the movie. It was tricky because it was my first day directing. It was also tricky because it was the most expensive location we had. We can't come back here, if we don't make our day, we're in trouble. We had a very limited amount of time. And it's tricky because it's the beginning and the end of the film, this isn't kind of the middle or the meat of the movie, this is how we open and how we close. So it was just a lot of pressure in those scenes. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Will Reveal Henry's First Crush Posted: No fairy tale is complete without romance, and one main character on "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 is about to have his very first crush. Ah, young love! It's tough to picture our little Henry as old enough for hearts and flowers, but actor Jared S. Gilmore is now 15, and his character is as human as the next magical person traveling through worlds on this show. A fan asked Entertainment Weekly if any new faces would be coming to OUAT; here's the Henry-focused response:
Random wild guesses for the crush: Merida (Amy Manson) or Guinevere (Joana Metrass). Guinevere is married to King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), and already in a love triangle with Lancelot (Sinqua Walls), but they said "crush" not dating, so maybe he just adores her beauty from afar or whatever. But Merida seems like a worthy crush target from Henry. He's a smart kid (young man!) and would probably appreciate her skills in addition to her looks. Whoever ends up the object of Henry's affections, we know love will be a tricky business for his mom, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), aka Dark Swan. Kitsis previously told EW, that becoming the Dark One "allows you to have the freedom to have no inhibitions." He added, "We are going to be exploring love and what happens when you use it as a weapon and what are the things that it makes you do. In the past, we've said love is the most powerful magic of all. It makes you do many things you normally wouldn't think you would." Love is a battlefield, and we're not expecting every heart to survive. Good luck to everyone out there! "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 premieres Sunday, September 27 on ABC. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Stan Lee Reacts to 'Fantastic Four' Flop, Names Chris Evans His Marvel BFF Posted: They say you should never have a favorite child -- or at least admit to it -- but when you're the Marvel king and you're 92 years old, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Stan Lee just went ahead and named his favorite Marvel actor, his favorite cameo (coming up), and even his favorite superhero costume and what makes it "the best thing we did." Stan opened up on the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe on "Larry King Now" and you can watch clips from the talk below. One thing Larry King asked about is the disappointing reviews and box office for the "Fantastic Four" reboot. Stan Lee co-created the characters, and he has defended the casting of Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm. Larry asked how Stan felt about the harsh reception to the movie. "Well it was probably because I didn't have a cameo in it," Stan joked, adding, "and they didn't discuss the story with me, but I haven't seen it yet." He said he doesn't run to see anything, but he gets there eventually. Larry asked if they reboot these movies too quickly and Stan said, "That may be true." The previous "Fantastic Four" starred Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and his name came up when Larry asked Stan which Marvel actor he's bonded with the most. "Chris, the fellow who plays Captain America," he answered. "He was The Human Torch, and then they made him Captain America, and he's the greatest guy. But I love them all." Back to the idea of no-Stan-cameo ruining the new "Fantastic Four." That probably wasn't the main problem, but it definitely won't be a factor for the 2016 movie "X-Men: Apocalypse." Stan said his cameo in the next "X-Men" movie is his favorite to date. "That cameo is different than any I've done before, because I did it with another person who is very important to me. I can't tell you more than that, you've gotta see it." Intriguing! And you have to hear why he thinks Spider-Man's costume is the best thing they've ever done: Nice. Watch the full interview here. Watch Puppies Play with the BB-8 Toy from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Posted: The internet's been abuzz with excitement over the new BB-8 toy from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which hits shelves today in honor of Force Friday. But could anything possibly make the already-awesome android even better? The simple answer is yes, especially when adorable puppies are concerned. Vanity Fair had the ingenious idea of testing out the toy with a coterie of cute pups, and as you'll see in the video below, the results are just as wonderful as you'd expect. Set to a tune that sounds suspiciously like the Mos Eisley Cantina music, the video features a group of puppies sizing up BB-8, sniffing him, nuzzling him, chasing him, and even being chased themselves. It's almost too adorable to bear. Check out the video for yourself, and just try not to squeal with delight. (It's impossible.) Any chance we can convince J.J. Abrams to re-edit "The Force Awakens" and add some puppies? [via: Vanity Fair] Photo credit: Vanity Fair This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Ellen Pompeo Is Offended by the Idea That 'Grey's Anatomy' Needs Derek Posted: The show is called "Grey's Anatomy" for the character of Meredith Grey, so Ellen Pompeo was hurt when some fans said the show should end after the death of Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek Shepherd. In a new Entertainment Weekly cover story with the stars of Shona Rhimes' entire "Shondaland," Ellen said she was personally offended by the idea that "Grey's" can't go on without McDreamy. Good point, and one you'd probably never have to hear a guy make -- it's not like they ended "Dexter" when any of Dexter's loved ones died. "House" didn't end when House lost someone. They were the focal points of their own shows. Yes, Derek was a huge part of the entire show run, from the start, and Shonda and company put so much focus on Meredith's love story that they have to bear some responsibility for fans wanting that love story to stay the focus. Shonda addressed the love story angle to EW, saying, in part: It's a strong statement, but is it too little too late, when Meredith's story is now at Season 12 and so much time has been spent emphasizing that fairy tale, specifically with a guy dubbed "McDreamy"? "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 premieres September 24. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Check Out 'Game of Thrones' Characters Drawn in the Style of 'Bob's Burgers' Posted: The internet is a wonderful place, where an idea as silly as drawing the "Game of Thrones" characters in the style of the "Bob's Burgers" characters is not only possible, but somehow incredibly awesome, too. That's just what Imgur artist CarlosDanger101 did, illustrating an impressive array of almost every single character from the sprawling world of Westeros as if they were employees at Bob Belcher's titular shop. In his post on the image-sharing website, the artist explained that it took him about a month to draw all the characters, and his attention to detail shows. In addition to a large group picture, featuring all the characters mashed into one image, CarlosDanger101 also drew individual family portraits, including the different houses of Westeros. There's little Bran Stark riding on Hodor's back in the House Stark image, and a maniacal-looking King Joffrey wielding a sword among the House Lannister clan, all with "Bob's Burgers"'s signature wide-eyed stares and simple line-drawn look. White Walkers and prostitutes also get their own shout-outs, too. Check out a few of our favorites below, and view the entire collection here. The New 'Fuller House' Logo Looks Awfully Familiar Posted: Netflix released the new, official logo for "Fuller House" this week, and fans of "Full House" will notice that it looks pretty familiar. Designers clearly wanted to pay homage to the original show with this logo, and thus, it looks almost identical to the original "Full House" logo, down to the font, color, and angle of the letters. Netflix's reaction to this new nameplate also happens to be familiar, and we concur: Have mercy! While critics might sneer that the logo is as unoriginal as the show itself, we like that the series is taking great strides to be as faithful to the first show as possible. After all, Netflix chose to revive the property for a reason, and fans of the original will surely appreciate even this small example of attention to detail. "Fuller House" reunites the Tanner clan for a new generation of gentle family life lessons, this time led by D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) as a recently-widowed mother of three (a slightly less depressing backstory than the original plan for her character). The series pilot will serve as a "Full House" reunion show, with (most of) the entire extended clan set to return, including Bob Saget, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, and Jodi Sweetin. "Fuller House" is set to debut sometime in 2016. [via: Netflix] Photo credit: Netflix This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Could Tom Hardy Be the Next James Bond? Posted: After all the talk this week about Idris Elba potentially taking over the James Bond franchise, another under the radar candidate has quietly climbed the ranks as the potential new face of the franchise. According to Variety, Irish betting site BoyleSports has been keeping track of the odds on different actors who could take over for Craig, and one candidate in particular has risen significantly in popularity. So who is this mystery man? None other than Mad Max himself, Tom Hardy. While Hardy's numbers have taken an impressive turn recently, rising from 6-1 odds to 4-1 odds (no doubt thanks to the success of "Fury Road"), fans of Elba shouldn't worry too much just yet. According to BoyleSports, Elba is still the frontrunner for the gig, tied with "Homeland" star Damian Lewis at 3-1 odds of becoming the new 007. But a spokesman for betting site said that the market on Bond speculation has "come alive" thanks to this new swell of support for Hardy, and if that trend continues, it could mean bad news for Elba (and Lewis). "With the support showing no signs of drying up, we are expecting Tom Hardy to be the new favorite for the role sooner rather than later," spokesman Liam Glynn said in a statement. Hardy still faces some tough competition for the role, though, at least according to BoyleSports's numbers. He's tied with "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill at 4-1 odds, and rounding out the rest of the top 10 contenders are Michael Fassbender, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Dougray Scott, Rupert Friend, and Dominic West. Best of Late Night TV: Jason Sudeikis Plays Drinko, Andrew Garfield's Starbucks Job Posted: If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night. On "The Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon and Jason Sudeikis played a new game, Drinko (a take on the "Price Is Right" classic Plinko), in which each contestant had to drop two discs into cups at the bottom of a board, and the other had to drink a cocktail of the combination. While there were some truly gross options awaiting the duo -- pea soup, sambuca, pickle juice -- both Fallon and Sudeikis lucked out with their turns, with the nastiest thing either one drank being bubble tea. Sudeikis also sat down with Fallon to chat about his son, Otis, with fiancee Olivia Wilde. The actor said he's been patiently waiting to expose Otis to his favorite sport, basketball, and used the ruse of helping Otis learn to walk to teach him how to play. Otis was a quick learner, though, and Sudeikis said that his kid is now a bit of a showboater when it comes to his dunking skills. He brought along an adorable clip as proof. Actress Bel Powley, star of "The Diary of a Teenage Girl," also appeared on "Tonight," and Fallon complimented her on her flawless American accent in the flick. Powley, a U.K. native, admitted that she had some trouble pronouncing the location where "Diary" was set, San Francisco, but said that there's one American pronunciation in particular that she absolutely loves. Andrew Garfield stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he chatted about his upbringing (fun fact: he was actually born in the U.S., and moved to England when he was 3), and revealed that when he was a struggling actor in his teens, he worked at Starbucks. While he envisioned a John Hughes-like scenario of pretty girls falling in love with the skinny barista, Garfield said that that never happened -- primarily because British people don't really drink coffee, and his shop was never very busy. Speaking of John Hughes, Garfield said that he was a huge fan of American movies as a child, thanks to his American father and their coveted American cable movie channel. One of his favorite films was "White Men Can't Jump," and the actor said he was giddy when he moved to L.A. for an audition and found himself near the very courts where Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes played in the flick. Unfortunately for Garfield, he quickly realized that his basketball skills weren't quite the same as Harrelson's.
