Who Will Direct 'Furious 8'?

Posted:

Furious 7The "Fast and Furious" franchise is a mega-blockbuster, money-printing machine, so you'd think any director would jump at the chance to be part of it. But apparently, that is not the case, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which claims that finding a director for "Furious 8" is "proving more difficult than first imagined" for Universal Pictures.

The studio naturally wanted James Wan, who helmed "Furious 7," to return, but Wan decided to go ahead with "The Conjuring 2" instead (it's now filming). Then, they turned to Justin Lin, who oversaw movies 3-6, but he's busy with the next "Star Trek." They went back to Wan with what a source says was "life-altering money," but he still decided against it.

THR hints that the problem may lay with star and producer Vin Diesel, who "proved extraordinarily difficult" during the production of "Furious 7." But Diesel's rep, as well as producers, deny those reports. And Universal says Wan was never even in the mix for the job.

"The studio and filmmakers loved working with James on 'Furious 7,' but he was never in the mix for an eighth film due to a scheduling conflict with 'The Conjuring 2,'" an official statement read. "We are actively casting and searching for the right director for the next chapter of the franchise."

Now, THR says, the studio looking at newcomers in time for the April 2017 release. One who isn't in consideration? Diesel himself, who directed a short film in 2009. So, the search continues.

28 Times George Costanza From 'Seinfeld' Said Exactly What We Were Thinking

Posted:

Jerry Seinfeld may be the co-creator and central character of "Seinfeld," but if you ask us, George Costanza is its true star. He's a little bit pathetic, he loves food (remember when he ate an eclair out of the trash?), and he sucks at relationships. If you can't say at least one of those things about yourself, then we know a jerk store that called looking for you. (We're saying that you're a conceited jerk, OK?)

As any fan of the show will tell you, the best thing about Costanza is that he can always be counted on to bring some next level realness and say all the things we wish we could. Hey, George, we love naps and not working hard, too!

We salute everyone's favorite lovable loser with this list of 28 times George Costanza said exactly what we were thinking.

11 Child Stars Who Got Hot

Posted:

Aren't child actors just the cutest? They're little humans who can act and stuff and it's kind of adorable. And guess what? Sometimes those child stars grow up to be stone cold foxes. We don't know exactly how it happens, or when, but we do know that there are enough cases to make this a bona fide scientific phenomenon. Don't fact check that.

When you're ready to feel bad about your awkward teenager stage and even more awkward current stage, click through these pics of our favorite child stars who became hot adults.

Star Wars The Force AwakensAs the days tick by until the release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Dec. 18, fans are eager for any glimpse, tidbit, scrap of info about Episode VII. Lucasfilm and Disney have obliged us with this interactive experience posted on Facebook.

Speed across the Jakku desert from Star Wars: The Force Awakens with this immersive 360 experience created exclusively for Facebook.

Posted by Star Wars on Wednesday, September 23, 2015
The minute-long video is a 360-degree view of a speeder trip through the desert of Jakku (where Daisy Ridley's Rey lives). Viewers can click and drag to look around the scene of a massive old battleground, including a crashed Star Destroyer. There are also flashes of other Jakku inhabitants and fleeting audio of BB-8, the soccer-ball-like droid.

It's not much, but the video is pretty cool and gives us a little more of an idea of how the movie will look.

'Angry Birds Movie' Trailer Pits Birds Against Pigs

Posted:

Angry Birds movieWe've had to suffer through video game movies since the early '90s, but this is the 2010s, you guys - it's time to upgrade to mobile game movies. And the first of those is "Angry Birds," that game you obsessively played on your iPhone about four years ago.

The first trailer for "Angry Birds" is here, and where it lacks in plot description, it makes up for in celebrity voices. Jason Sudeikis as Red! Danny McBride as Bomb! Bill Hader as a pig! Josh Gad! Maya Ruldolph! Peter Dinklage! Keegan-Michael Key! And many more!
There really is no sense of what the story is for the movie, other than that Red needs anger management therapy, Bomb blows up when he gets agitated, and the pigs come to their island to possibly cause trouble.

"The Angry Birds Movie" hits theaters May 20, 2016.

'Heroes' Cast: Where Are They Now?

Posted:

Once again, it's time for a motley band of mutants to save the world. At least, they'd better, in "Heroes Reborn," the NBC limited series that debuts Sept. 24. Picking up where the 2006-10 series "Heroes" left off, the new drama will bring back several prominent characters from the old show, including time-and-space-halting Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), mysterious operative Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), his equally mysterious partner The Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), mind-reader Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), power broker Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), scholar Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy), and Micah Sanders (Noah Gray-Cabey), who can control machines with his mind.

But what of the rest? Well, "Heroes" turned out to be a launch pad for many talented stars who've gone on to busy, super-powered careers of their own. (Granted, Oka found time to come back to the mainland for "Heroes Reborn," despite his starring role on "Hawaii Five-O." But then, Hiro can manipulate space and time.) Here's what's become of the rest of the cast of "Heroes" since the last time they saved the cheerleader and saved the world.

Cara Delevingne's Epic Twitter Rant Includes Wish to Pour Cheese on Paparazzi

Posted:

Burberry Prorsum - Arrivals - LFW SS16Unlike The Hulk, you might really like Cara Delevingne when she's angry. That's when she's the most fun. You may recall her awkward interview and ensuing frustration that sarcasm doesn't seem to translate. That sarcasm made a return last night in her extended rant against the paparazzi. Apparently the London-born model and star of "Paper Towns" and "Suicide Squad" was just stalked or blocked by cameras one too many times and had to vent about the lack of privacy.

She seemed to really be finished at that point. Hopefully she doesn't really find the paps' homes and bite them or pour molten cheese on them ... but if she does, hopefully someone is around to take and share that photo.

'Fuller House': Updated Show Has 'Racier' Jokes, But Nothing 'Inappropriate'

Posted:

Can you believe it's been 28 years since "Full House" premiered? Candace Cameron Bure honored the anniversary on September 22 when sharing a version of the photo above. She also talked to TVLine about some of the updates we'll see in 2016 when "Fuller House" premieres.

"Tonally, the show is very much the same, but it's updated," Candace told TVLine. "I'm sure a few of the jokes are a little bit racier now than they would have been in the '90s, but it's still nothing that's inappropriate or that you would feel uncomfortable watching with your kids. We're three grown women, and I have to say, we're all pretty good-looking, too. [Laughs] We have some cute guys on the show, too, so that's fun."

But she'd rather talk about the girls, especially DJ's best friend Kimmy Gibbler, played by Candace's good friend Andrea Barber. ''You're going to howl over Kimmy!" Candace said. "Andrea Barber is so funny, it's ridiculous. She's even funnier as Kimmy as an adult than she was as a kid. Kimmy and DJ are still best friends, and because Andrea and I have been really close friends our whole lives, you really see the chemistry on screen."
Sweet! Candace recently talked to Moviefone about how DJ herself has changed. "I mean, we get to see her twenty-some years later, so it's just fun to see her as a mom, and to see what kind of mom she's become, and what kind of woman. And it's just a character that's so special to me, and it's fun to be able to develop her even more -- and particularly because I get to do that with the writers. And sit down and talk with them, and get to hear their thoughts. They hear my thoughts, and then so it just becomes this character that we all love."

Candace added to TVLine, "She's not a teenager anymore, but she's still really fun. She also has to keep three boys under control without a husband, so she's got to be a disciplinarian. If you were that teenage girl who wished that DJ was your sister, or wished that she was your best friend, you'll be really happy with how she is as a mom."

Sounds good so far, and it'll be nice to have a show that families can watch together without feeling uncomfortable. Then again, what's family without a little awkwardness?

'Conjuring 2' Starts Filming, See Director James Wan's First Set Photos

Posted:

LA Premiere of The Conjuring - ArrivalsJames Wan is on a hot streak right now -- from "Saw" to "Insidious," "The Conjuring," "Furious 7" and the upcoming "Aquaman" movie. He could direct just about anything he wants, and what he wants is to return to "The Conjuring" for a sequel called "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist."

Filming just started on the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster, which made more than $300 million worldwide from just a $20 million budget. "Conjuring 2" will bring back Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they travel to England to investigate activity at a council house in the London Borough of Enfield.

Filming for the first movie took place around Wilmington, North Carolina, but the sequel is reportedly being filmed in Los Angeles and London, from September to November. Here are two photos shared by director Wan himself, to celebrate (and bless, it seems) the start of the latest horror show:

'Big Brother 17': Johnny Mac or James, Who's America's Favorite Player?

Posted:

"Big Brother 17" is ending tonight, Wednesday, September 23. Oh My Lanta, we're going to miss that crazy house for another year! The $500,000 grand prize will go to Vanessa Rousso, Steve Moses, or Liz Nolan -- with the runner-up taking home a not-too-shabby $50,000 -- but who will win the $25,000 as America's Favorite Houseguest?

Fans vote for that honor on CBS' site and, at this point, it looks like it's going to come down to military vet/dad/prankster James Huling, 31, vs. dentist/DR king/Whackstreet Boy John McGuire, 27. Not sure who might be third (Shelli? Audrey? Jason? Coco the teddy bear?)

James vs. Johnny Mac is kind of like Donny vs Zach of BB16. Donny was the favorite last year, but James doesn't have this thing locked down. JMac lasted longer in the house than James and has fan support even beyond the usual young girls who swoon over any cute guy like BB's version of Directioners. Then again, James made more actual game moves as Head of Household (Johnny was never HoH even once) and also played fun pranks in the house. Johnny played most of his game in the Diary Room. He was fun to watch in there, but otherwise slept most of the day and wasn't that much of a gamer or that entertaining for the hardcore live feeders.

Who do you think should and will win BB17 and who'll be named America's favorite player?

TV Musical Moments That Still Give Us All the Feels

These are 14 of the best musical moments that have ever aired on television.

'The Martian's' Drew Goddard Teases 'Sinister Six' Movie Could Still Happen

Posted:

Now that Spider-Man will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that means Sony's plans to go all "expanded universe" with the Webhead have changed.

But, according to "The Martian" screenwriter Drew Goddard, there's still hope for his "Sinister Six" villain team-up movie.

"It slots in very well to any plan anybody ever wants," Goddard recently revealed to io9. "We just need to let a couple years go by, I think."

Before Spidey swung to the MCU, the original plan was to make "Sinister Six" after the release of "The Amazing Spider-Man 3." Goddard spent a year working on the script, which he planned to make as his directorial follow-up to "The Cabin in the Woods." But "Amazing Spider-Man 2" underperformed with audiences and critics, and those plans were shelved.

While "Six" is considerably back-burnered for now, Goddard teased some broad story details about the film fans want to see.

"My vision of that movie was a summer annual. So you didn't have to worry about continuity. It was just, 'We take Peter, put him on an adventure, we put him back in his life.'"

Goddard went on to say that it was his intent to make a movie that "didn't have to worry about mythology and continuity," a movie that could stand on its own.

As for what that movie is about, plot-wise, the writer-director offered only this: "[It's] the giant, epic Spider-Man movie of my dreams."

Fans will have to wait to see if his dream movie ever comes true. In the meantime, they can see his latest when "The Martian" hits theaters Oct. 2.

Marvel's Sebastian Stan Burns DC's Zack Snyder With Christopher Nolan Comparison

Posted:

Grab your popcorn, 'cause Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise is apparently crossing over into superhero films. First Paul Bettany and Jason Statham got into their "Avengers" feud and now Sebastian Stan is defending the Marvel Cinematic Universe from DC director Zack Snyder's smacktalk. It's only a matter of time before Henry Cavill snatches Robert Downey Jr.'s weave. Just wait for it.

The latest catbatfight started when Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming "Batman v. Superman," talked to The Daily Beast and threw shade at Marvel's "Ant-Man." Here's that section of interview. Pay attention to the Christopher Nolan reference, as it will be important later:

"It's a tricky process, setting up the DC universe, or Justice League," Snyder said. "The credit goes to [Batman Begins director] Chris Nolan because he set the die for the DC Universe in a great way that I tried to emulate. I look at it as more being mythological than, say, bubblegum. And I think that that's appropriate for Batman and Superman because they're the most mythological of our superheroes."

Steven Spielberg's recent doomsday prediction that "there will be a time when the superhero movie goes the way of the Western" got many a fanboy's spandex in a bunch. Ahead of our chat, in an interview earlier in the day, Snyder responded to Spielberg's comments-and when I brought it up, he was flabbergasted that the Internet had already jumped all over the brewing debate. "That was this morning!" he exclaimed, before jovially admitting that Spielberg might be right while throwing some playful shade at the competition.

"It goes to the mythological nature of the movies that we're making," he said. "I feel like he's right. But I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they're Batman and Superman. They're not just, like, the flavor of the week Ant-Man-not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?"

Spain 'Man of Steel'Shots fired! Bullets were returned from an unlikely source: Sebastian Stan, aka Bucky Barnes in Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and the upcoming "Civil War." Stan had a nice long interview with Collider and decided, on his own, to defend Marvel against Zack Snyder. Here's that portion of Collider's interview:

Collider: I think the reason why the Marvel movies are so good - especially Winter Soldier - is that Winter Soldier's a '70s political thriller that happens to star Captain America. And what I'm curious about is what kind of take is Civil War in terms of ... because it's obviously going to be a reboot and reinvention. Do you know what I mean?

Stan: Yeah, I'm sitting here and I'm listening to you and I'm thinking, "Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?" I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can't remember where I read that, somewhere... Something about, "It's not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man." And I was like, "Oh thanks, Zack. That's great. Way to do something original." But I would say we're still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they're shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They're not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that."

Oh yes he did. Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Christopher Nolan is probably too busy with his next movie to bother stepping into this mess, but hopefully the bickering continues until the next Marvel and DC movies come out.

Kerry Washington's 'Game of Thrones' Fan Parents Embarrassed Her at Emmys

Posted:

Kerry Washington's parents may be embarrassingly over-enthusiastic "Game of Thrones" fans, but at least they're not Lannister siblings. Give them that much. The "Scandal" star was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last night, and when the conversation turned to the Emmy Awards, Kerry shared a story about her GoT-loving mom and dad.

A couple of years ago, she said, she took her parents to the Emmys and they embarrassed her at the HBO party. Kerry is a big "Game of Thrones" fan, but only because of her parents, who were into the show (and books) first. She acknowledged that that's a little weird, considering some of the stuff on the show, and things got even weirder at the party when her mom met Khal Drogo, aka actor Jason Momoa.

Kerry's parents have been married for over 40 years or so, she couldn't remember, but when meeting Khal Drogo, "My mother turned into a 16-year-old girl. It was like 'My son and stars!' She just lost her stuff. She's standing next to my father swooning over this man." Jimmy noted that Jason Momoa is a good-looking guy (true) and he's big. What did Kerry's dad think while his wife was mooning over Drogo? "I think my dad's crush is about the same," Kerry said, "so he didn't mind." She mimicked his reaction with a grin and a thumbs-up sign. Jimmy said that would be a helluva threesome, and Kerry was just traumatized at the idea. "Jimmy, I can't unring that bell." Jimmy kept trying to get her to visualize the threesome, but she wouldn't. "Well, your mother did." Haha.

Kerry and Jimmy also agreed that it was "selfish" of author George R.R. Martin to be at the Emmys this past Sunday instead of staying home to write the next book. Poor GRRM cannot catch a break.

Robert De Niro Walks Out of 'Negative' Interview, Readers Take Sides

Posted:

NY Premiere of You talkin' to Robert De Niro? Better not be talkin with "negative inference" or he will not stand for it, darling. De Niro is promoting "The Intern," because that's part of the job, and the 72-year-old actor walked out of an interview with the U.K.'s Radio Times after an interview started to rub him the wrong way. After reading the rundown from Radio Times, many fans are backing De Niro, arguing that the reporter editorialized and framed things in a negative light when writing up the story of De Niro's ill-fated interview.

For example, the interviewer wrote that De Niro looked "depressed" and said something "glumly," which already has a negative connotation. Here's a portion of the write-up, shortly after De Niro answered the reporter's question about how he preserves against "autopilot" when he's been doing his job for so long:

...De Niro swivels his eyes up from the floor and asks me to pause the voice recorder.

"Why?"

"Could you just do it?"

I do it. He then pops up out of his chair, starts pacing madly and says he's cutting short the interview because of the "negative inference" of what I just said.

"What, about the bankers?!" I am genuinely amazed.

"All the way through," says De Niro. "All the way through, negative inference."

"Er, like where else?"

"The whole way through and I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it, darling."

"But," I suggest, "all I've been doing is asking you reverential questions about your methods as an actor."

"You're probably not even aware that you're doing it, the negative inference, the negative inference."

"That's quite a presumption."

"I'm a very good reader of character."

"So am I."

De Niro has paced all the way to the door by this point, and is sticking his head out, looking in vain for an aide to come along and save him. Walking into the corridor alone doesn't seem to be an option.

"Hang on," I say, "so where else am I being negative?"

"The question about being on auto-pilot - negative inference."

"Wait, but I asked that question to establish how it is you manage not to be on auto-pilot."

"There's a negative inference."

"I have to say, now that you're going on about it, it makes me think you were on auto-pilot and you're super-sensitive about it."

His jaw starts working and he looks wildly around the room as if in search of a window to jump through. "I'm not doing this, darling," he says.

"I think you're very condescending."

"Oh, you think 'darling' is condescending?"

I suppose this is what's called the artistic temperament..."

It goes on, but based on reaction to the original story and others, readers seem to be Team De Niro, and not just because he's a famous actor and therefore can do no wrong. Things definitely get heated in the comments at the reporter's expense, fairly or unfairly, but here's a polite response that sums up the consensus: "You did have a negative inference. Sorry." However, not everyone supported the legend. As one reader put it, "I can't believe there are so many negative comments aimed at the interviewer here, I say good on her for Robert De Niro on his spoiled brat behaviour. As far as I could make out there was nothing wrong with the question she asked, she was simply trying to understand his process."

What do you think?

Daniel Radcliffe Shaves Head as Neo-Nazi in 'Imperium' First Photos

2015 Comic-Con - Entertainment Weekly PartyHarry Potter has turned to the dark side in "Imperium"! Actually, he's pulling a Snape. In the upcoming movie, Daniel Radcliffe plays an FBI analyst who goes undercover in a group of neo-Nazis who are trying to construct a dirty bomb.

Entertainment Weekly shared the first official photo from the movie, which just started filming Richmond, VA, and Dan also posted the full pic on his Google+ page:

And here's Dan on set, obviously with a bit more hair:

The shaved head is a very different look from all that extra hair in "Gamechangers," where he plays one of the creators of the video game series "Grand Theft Auto."

According to Deadline, "Imperium" is based on the real experiences of Michael German, an FBI undercover agent who spent years inside United States neo-Nazi and militia groups. German co-wrote the script with filmmaker Daniel Ragussis, who is making his feature debut with this movie.

Dan is a busy guy nowadays, and we should next see him as Igor, opposite James McAvoy, in "Victor Frankenstein." He has several other upcoming projects beyond that, including "Swiss Army Man," "Brooklyn Bridge," "Young Americans" and "Now You See Me: The Second Act."

Taraji P. Henson Talks 'Empire' Season 2: Cookie Is 'Everybody's Spirit Animal'

Posted:

67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals Just how does Taraji P. Henson feel about the opportunity to play "Empire's" unfiltered, no-nonsense, survive-at-all-costs and oh-so-quotable character Cookie Lyon? Her answer's as direct as the role: "I'm having the time of my life!"

Henson's "Empire" success is the current culmination of a much-admired 15-year career in Hollywood that's included a breakout turn in "Hustle & Flow," an Oscar nomination for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," top-grossing comedies like "Think Like a Man," and a TV hit with "Person of Interest."

But very little comes close to the chord she touched with her portrayal of Cookie, who launched the Lyon brood's hip-hop dynasty and paid a hefty price with nearly two decades in jail, only to return with a vengeance as the scheming and sublimely attired family matriarch, becoming 2015's most buzzed-about new TV character in the space of 12 episodes. "I would say that probably 80 percent is Cookie and maybe 20 percent is Taraji," says Henson. "I mean, every character that I portray, I bring a little bit of my life and experience to it. I'm not as bold as she is."

It's that brash and outspoken nature -- a form of genuineness -- that's key to Cookie's appeal, says the actress. "In order for us to challenge the audience, we have to be challenged: we have to be challenged with taking a risk of telling the truth," Henson explains. "Primetime network television has been so safe for so long. And I think that's why 'Empire' has had the impact that it has had, because it's almost like the cable formula -- we're just not using the words. We can't say certain words but Cookie can certainly say it with a look, and you know what she means."

At the Television Critics Association press tour, the Emmy-nominated actress joined a small group of journalists to share her thoughts on the show-stopping character creator Lee Daniels has called "a hood version of Mama Rose from Gypsy," along with a glimpse ahead at the pot Cookie's stirring. [Spoilers ahead if you're not caught up!]

Were you, Taraji, rooting for Cookie to actually do in Lucious at the end of Season One?

Taraji P. Henson: Yeah, but I knew she's not a killer. Even though the one time she did make a mistake and had someone killed, it was a mistake. And she didn't do it. She's not really a killer. I don't think she could ever pull herself to kill the love of her life basically. She still needs him. She has three sons that need their father.

Why do you think the Cookie phenomenon has gotten so huge?

I think she is everybody's spirit animal, or their alter ego. She lives in truth. I mean, I know if we lived in a world with people that just weren't afraid to live their truth, that they get to be in a better place. We're so busy trying to run around and be politically correct, and what is that? So Cookie -- one thing she is not is politically correct. And people, you get asked a question, and the first thing that comes to mind is the truth. But we've been taught as a society, to manipulate the truth. So we breathe. We hear the question. Then we manipulate it. Cookie does none of that.

I think she's a good role model as far as being who you are and not apologizing for your journey in life. No one's perfect. At the end of the day, some people might judge her because she sold drugs. But guess what? When minimum wage is five dollars an hour, and you've got three mouths to feed, sometimes, that McDonald's check ain't gonnna cut it. So she did what any human did. She survived. She got caught. She served her time. But she survived that. Seventeen years in prison with animals, she survived it. She didn't lose herself. She came out. She didn't miss a beat. So that's to be commended.

Does she give you an outlet to say things you want to?

Absolutely. She's bold. She doesn't bite her tongue. She's uncompromising. She's going to call it like she sees it. She's not safe. You don't know what's going to come flying out of her mouth.

Are you surprised by which lines people respond to and start quoting?

No, because I have the reaction from the crew, who are just like beer-drinking guys, regular family guys. So when they yell, "Cut!" and I have them laughing or them saying, like, "Oh my God!" then I know it's going to be a hit. They're like the regular guys.

Did you have any fun fan encounters since the show premiered?

No, I just get random pictures of people dressing their pets up like Cookie, or their babies. People dressed up like Cookie.

Speaking of wardrobe, what do you love about her fashion, and what can we see going forward?

I love the fact that you're just going to get to see it grow. Think about it: she was in jail for 17 years -- a little rusty; came out a little behind the curveball of fashion. But second season -- wow! We're getting so much love from fashion houses, that it's, like, crazy! [laughs]

Can you name a few?

Moschino, Balmain, Chanel -- you name it, we got it, Cookie wears it! [laughs]

Do you get to keep anything?

You know what? I always go into my wardrobe fittings like, "I want to keep it all." But then after you wear it for a few days, it's like, "Okay. I'm over it."

So if Cookie's only 20 percent you, what happens when you meet people, and the expectation is that you are Cookie?

Usually, they hit me, "Hey, girl!" I'm like, "Ow -- don't touch me!" And they call me Cookie. And it's like, "That's not my name." Yeah, it's funny. People really think that I'm her. Like I'm not a fur girl. I'm a PETA girl. I don't wear fur. So a lot of things -- like selling drugs. I think selling drugs is a horrible thing! I'm not trying to go to prison [laughs].

What was your personal favorite moment from Season One?

Geez Louise, there's so many! I'm getting confused because there's so many incredible moments this season. I think my favorite moment was when I had to drink the lean with the fellas. And I told Malcolm to take the cookies because that was all ad‑libbed. It was a lot of fun.

What excites you the most about the new season?

Her fashion. I can't say it enough. I wish I could show you some things, but I can't. We're going to see more of her backstory. Maybe what that 17 years was like in prison. We'll start to delve into a lot more flashbacks.

She's getting a love interest--

Yeah, two are coming my way. I'm going live vicariously through her.

How does all the attention from your performance feel, at this point in your career?

I've been doing it for a long time, so I'm not a spring chicken. I'm grown. My kid is grown now. And so I'm kind of relaxed in it. It's just odd because I can't do things that I used to do like Target. I love going to Super Target. I love going to Marshalls or Ross. Just like I love going to Rodeo Drive, I still love T.J. Maxx, bargains. I love it. And it's really difficult for me to do that. Or I have to go like at a really weird hour, and I have to dress like a Unabomber.

Is it better that it's happening now?

Absolutely, because I'm an adult now. And I'm not caught up in the hype. Like, I know not to believe the hype.

Best of Late Night TV: Mean Tweets With Liam Neeson, The Rock; Hilarious 'Empire' Parody 'Jimpire'

Posted:

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" is doing the classic "Mean Tweets" segment differently this time. This whole week is Mean Tweets Week with celebrities stopping by to read mean tweets live on stage, a few at a time, as opposed to taping them in advance and airing them in one segment. (Ratings bait!) On Monday, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kristen Bell and Jeff Bridges read off tweets. Tuesday night, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Bette Midler, and Liam Neeson read off mean tweets. The Rock had a great response to his tweet and Bette's wasn't even that mean. Liam had a kinda cute little defeated walk-off after his mean tweet. Poor little Liam. Where's that set of skills you're supposed to have, man? Break out the phone and growl!

Over on "The Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon did a brilliant and ambitious -- 10 minute! -- "Empire" parody called "Jimpire," featuring several great cameos ... and then Donald Trump. It's awesome, but as one commenter pointed out, Justin Timberlake should really be the next heir to "The Tonight Show." Lock him in now.

Donald Trump stopped by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and played a little quote game of "Trump Or Colbert," with The Donald deciding who said it, himself or Stephen's over-the-top conservative character on "The Colbert Report." You may have noticed that Trump never apologizes for anything and he said he has nothing to apologize for. Stephen, however, apologized for some of the things he's said about Trump.
Lea Michele was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" -- in a very revealing dress -- and discussed her character's neck brace in "Scream Queens."
Speaking of "Scream Queens," queen Chanel No. 1 herself, Emma Roberts, was on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," and talked about having to kiss her old Nickelodeon buddy Nat Wolff. It was in North Carolina and they were all sweaty and she wiped off his sweat because she can't handle sweat stache.
The amazing Patrick Stewart was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and dressed very casually for the occasion. He may as well have just shown up in his jammies. He talked about this late night wardrobe malfunction, the fact that he was once fired from his small-town paper, and the story of Ronald Reagan visiting the set of "Star Trek: the Next Generation." Apparently, when you're POTUS, you can just sit in the captain's chair without asking.
"Scandal" beauty Kerry Washington talked to Jimmy Kimmel about the Emmys (including her dress), and how her parents embarrassed her at the Emmys a couple of years ago.
Anne Hathaway was on "The Tonight Show" and admitted she was scared of Robert De Niro on the set of "The Intern." She said it was nothing he was doing, it was just her projecting so much onto him beause he's the best.
