New 'Walking Dead' Preview: 'Every Single Episode Has Been a Season Finale'

Posted:

There are only three more Sundays until "The Walking Dead" Season 6 premieres on October 11. AMC just posted "A Look at Season 6," with the cast and producers reviewing the end of Season 5 -- with Rick Grimes and company arriving at Alexandria and basically turning it upside-down -- and previewing what's next in the 2015-2016 season.

The video includes a good amount of footage from the upcoming season, plus commentary from Steven Yeun (Glenn), producer Greg Nicotero, producer Denise Huth, Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), Danai Gurira (Michonne), producer Dave Alpert, Lennie James (Morgan Jones), and Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon).

We're told Season 6 will navigate this world between zombie threats and human threats, and both threats will be elevated at the start of Season 6. As Norman Reedus put it, "The threats get larger, the threats come in ways that you don't expect them to, the threats come in ways that you don't think are possible." Andrew Lincoln shared this great tease: "Every single episode has been a season finale, and then it goes off the chain."

Excellent. The Season 6 premiere will be a supersized 90 minutes, like the Season 5 finale and premiere of the companion series, "Fear the Walking Dead."

Check out the preview:

TV Anchor Credits Leonardo DiCaprio With Painting Mona Lisa

Posted:

We knew Leonardo DiCaprio was talented, but damn. He travels through time and paints masterpiece too? Never let go indeed.

Everyone make mistakes, but Fox News anchor Shepard Smith made one funny enough to share. Because Leo did not, in fact, give us the Mona Lisa. Smith accidentally credited the modern actor instead of true Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci. Totally understand a quick slip of the tongue, but he seemed to miss his own gaffe and didn't correct it. He jut kept reporting on the research to identify the Mona Lisa model. Someone in the control room probably should've gotten in his ear right away ... but then we wouldn't have this magic.

But let's not be too quick to call him wrong. What if Shepard is the one who's right and it was DiCaprio all along? He got the DeLorean from Marty and Doc and just went through history creating works of art. It's possible.

Kim Zolciak Has Mini Stroke After 'Dancing With the Stars,' Posts Update

Posted:

The Fall 2015 season of "Dancing With the Stars" has already been tough for the contestants, but especially Kim Zolciak-Biermann. It was bad enough that the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum was at the bottom of the scoreboard on Week 1, but things got worse after the two dances of Week 2. Kim said she suffered a transient ischemic attack after flying home from the Tuesday, September 22 episode of DWTS.

Here's what she posted about her "mini stroke" on Thursday:

On Friday, she shared another update, with a larger version of the photo posted at top:

Going in for one more procedure, things are looking up! don't let the oxygen scare you its just protocol. 😁 I wanted THANK all of you for the love! I feel so overwhelmed with all the texts, comments etc. I'm so grateful to have all of you! #TheyDontCallMeToughieForNothing"

Kim's DWTS pro partner, Tony Dovolani, shared a statement with People:

After spending only a few weeks with Kim, it is evident of how much of a fighter she is. Her humor and positivity are still shining through, and it's amazing to see the love and support of her family. We are hoping for a speedy recovery."

Kim is one of 11 remaining celebs on DWTS Season 21, which returns with TV Week on Monday, September 28.

Robert Pattinson Slams All Internet Commenters After Racist Posts About Fiancee

Posted:

2015 MET Museum Costume Institute Benefit GalaComment about this story at your own risk. Robert Pattinson may or may not Google it to see what you think about him. He will be judging, since he knows you'll be judging him. The "Twilight" alum is now playing photojournalist Dennis Stock in "Life" and he talked to NME about the paparazzi, press, and attention to his own personal life. He's no longer with Kristen Stewart, but when he started dating FKA Twigs, who is now his fiancée, some fans posted racist comments and insults on her appearance.

As NME noted, Twigs said she was "shocked and disgusted" by the messages and Pattinson weighed in on the world of Internet comments in general.

I was talking to my dad about this and I bet him that if he looked up Nelson Mandela's funeral on YouTube, the first comment would be a racist one. And it was, with like a million upvotes. What I don't get is why. I think it's because most normal people are not commenters - I've never met anyone who's left a comment on anything. It's just demons who live in basements. You have this weird thing where you end up trying to fight against this faceless blob, where the more you hate it, the bigger it gets, because it's all in your head."

So there you go. If you have ever commented on anything -- even a positive comment or one standing up to the racists ('cause we really shouldn't just let mean people own the Internet) -- you are a demon and you live in a basement. (Question: Can you save your soul by moving to the attic?) However, Pattinson added that he still has a "weird compulsion" to Google himself and read comments from these demons. He said it's to "reinforce my negative opinion of myself. I go through periods where I don't do it at all and feel glorious! Then I'll fall back into this pit. It really does affect you, and it all comes from some moron sitting on a comment board. It's always that person who's needling away at you, who you either want to destroy, or convince them to love you."

OK, now the commenters sound like Regina George: you hate her, but you want her to like you. Pattinson should just get ahead of this and start commenting on threads himself -- write posts so negative about this "Robert Pattinson" guy that other commenters feel compelled to defend him. Reverse psychology can sometimes work against trolls.

'Once Upon a Time' Premiere Has 'Brilliant Twist,' Big Captain Swan Scene

Posted:

It's finally here! "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 premieres Sunday, September 27 at 8 p.m. on ABC. By the end of the hour, our heads will probably be spinning from all the new twists and turns. Speaking of mind-blowing twists, TVLine and Entertainment Weekly just shared spoilers on Episode 1, and both outlets mentioned a "twist" (probably the same one) in "The Dark Swan."

Here's the OUAT part of EW's latest spoiler story:

Please tell me anything about Once Upon a Time before its return! - Jennifer
A reveal in the premiere shows that Camelot ties into the early mythology of the show in a very major way. Even my head exploded a little bit when I saw this brilliant twist.

Love it! TVLine shared a bunch of OUAT intel in its spoiler scoop, mentioning a premiere ending twist, but also a GIF-able moment for Captain Swan shippers who want Emma and Hook together:

Now that Once Upon a Time's Emma is the Dark Swan, can her heart be removed from her chest? -Mia Bennett
Good question - yet one that is not addressed in the Season 5 premiere, at least, seeing as she is busy doing the pumper-plucking :-O What's more, she's not the only one in Sunday's premiere aiming to take someone's ticker!

Once Upon a Time's Zelena always has a trick up her sleeve. Do you think she will try to regain her powers? -Rasika
I do "think" that, yes. The question is, though: Is she clever enough to outwit those who prefer her to remain incapacitated? Bonus premiere scoop: Amy Manson and her hair are quite terrific as Merida (and Rumple has a great line about the Brave one's accent); Emma/Hook fans better have their GIF-making machines at the ready; and the episode ends with a final twist I did not see coming.

So excited to hear that Mulan will be back on Once Upon a Time. Last we saw, Robin Hood asked her to join his band of Merry Men. Any chance we will see more of her relationship with Robin Hood? -Karola
The whereabouts of Mulan (played by Jamie Chung), as well as Meghan Ory's Ruby/Red, will be accounted for when each character resurfaces after so much time off-screen. "We're not planning to drop them back in the show with no explanation and just say, 'Oh, they were over in the corner,'" says co-creator Adam Horowitz. "We do want to give a taste of where Mulan has been and what she's been up to and what she's been going through. The same with Red."

It all sound exciting. Here are a few more OUAT teases to keep in mind:

o. 'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Will Reveal Henry's First Crush

o. 'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Will Showcase LGBT Relationship

o. Watch the First Minute of 'Once Upon a Time' Season 5

o. 'Once Upon a Time' Spoilers: Charming Has Hot New Bromance

Listen to Sam Smith's 'Spectre' Theme Song, 'Writing's on the Wall'

Posted:

2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival - Night 1 - ShowDoes Sam Smith's new James Bond theme song, the "Spectre" tune "Writing's on the Wall," live up to the glory that is Adele's "Skyfall"? Fans can now weigh in.

Smith officially released the track on Friday on the BBC's Radio 1, and it begins with a lush orchestral arrangement bursting with sumptuous strings and horns before shifting into a plaintive piano melody on the opening verse. The track is both classic Smith and classic Bond, with a dramatic flair that's both entirely familiar and yet completely unique.

Lyrics like "I never shoot to miss" evoke the swagger that characterizes the Bond audiences know and love, while lines like "For you I have to risk it all / 'Cause the writing's on the wall" are more evocative of Smith's style (and his ethereal falsetto doesn't hurt, either).

"I wanted to bring out something timelessly classic that works with the project and the film," Smith said of the song. " ... I just hope people listen to it and think, 'That's Bond, it sounds like a Bond theme.'"

Sounds like mission accomplished to us.

The track is available for streaming on Spotify and for download on iTunes. Listen to it below. (A preview, below, is also available for non-Spotify users.)

Sigourney Weaver Will Also Cameo in 'Ghostbusters' (No Word on Zuul)

Posted:

American Ballet Theatre's 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Spring GalaPaul Feig's upcoming take on "Ghostbusters" is shaping up to be more of a reunion than a reboot, with original star Sigourney Weaver officially joining the cast.

Weaver, who played Dana Barrett in 1984's "Ghostbusters" and 1989's "Ghostbusters II," is set to make an appearance in the new flick, according to Feig. The director, in an effort to stave off too many spoilers, revealed the news himself on Twitter, calling the actress "awesome." There's no word on whether or not Weaver will be playing Barrett, though we're assuming that like her other fellow original "Ghostbusters" stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts, she'll be making a cameo as a new character. And just look at that list, folks -- the fact that Feig was able to wrangle so many members of the original cast (RIP, Harold Ramis) is a miracle in and of itself; whoever they're all playing, fans should be pleased so see them on the big screen together regardless.

The only major holdout left is Rick Moranis. Fingers crossed Feig can snag him, too.

"Ghostbusters" stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. It hits theaters on July 15, 2016.

'Harry Potter' Play 'The Cursed Child' Will Be Two Parts, 'Epic'

Posted:

We still don't have much info to go on about the new "Harry Potter" play, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which was announced back in June. But according to author J.K. Rowling, the story is so "epic," that the play will now be split into two parts to accommodate the new story.

Rowling announced the news on Twitter on Thursday, directing fans to Pottermore for more details. As director "Cursed Child" director John Tiffany and writer Jack Thorne explained to the site, the move allows the creative team "the chance to delve deeper into the wizarding world."

"Obviously I loved it when we decided to tell this story in two parts, because I got to spend more time with the characters and what an honour that has been," Thorne told Pottermmore. "It continues to be unbelievable and amazing that I've been given this extraordinary chance to bring Harry Potter to the stage. As a fan, who just devoured the books and the films, this couldn't be more exciting for me."

As Thorne and Tiffany tell it, they're both excited and nervous about "The Cursed Child," because they want to do justice to Rowling's series. But according to the twosome, the play is a "unique" experience that should please "Potter" fans.

"I've never worked on anything quite like this before," Tiffany told Pottermore. "Usually in theatre you're adapting existing material or creating an entirely new play. With the 'Cursed Child' we have been given the unique opportunity to explore some of the most cherished books and beloved characters ever written, yet work with J.K. Rowling to tell a story from that world that no one yet knows - it's exhilarating.

"It shares a scale and ambition with all the 'Harry Potter' stories so in order to do this justice we have decided to present the play in two parts."

Sounds pretty splendid to us. And though Thorne and Tiffany's announcement didn't really reveal anything new about the play's plot, we do know that it's not -- we repeat, NOT -- a prequel to the existing "Potter" stories, and will be considered canon along with the rest of the series.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will make its debut on the London stage sometime during the summer of 2016. No word yet on when the second part will premiere.

'Gotham' Co-Stars Morena Baccarin & Ben McKenzie Expecting a Baby

Posted:

2015 Primetime Emmy Awards Fox/FX After Party - InsideFresh off the news that his former "The O.C." costar Adam Brody just became a dad, Ben McKenzie has some exciting baby news of his own: He's expecting his first child with his "Gotham" costar Morena Baccarin.

News broke on Thursday that the pair -- who have been dating in real life while their onscreen alter egos, Detective Jim Gordon and Dr. Leslie Thompkins, are also dating and living together on the hit Fox show -- will become parents. This will be the first child for McKenzie; Baccarin has a 23-month-old son, Julius, with her estranged husband Austin Chick, who filed for divorce from the actress earlier this summer.

The pair first stepped out publicly together last weekend, where they attended the Fox Emmys party on Sunday night as a couple. Reps for both Baccarin and McKenzie later confirmed the baby news to People and Us Weekly.

"[Morena] and Ben are very happy about this news," a source told People. "Everyone is very excited."

Congrats to the parents-to-be!

Ridley Scott Reveals 'Prometheus 2' Title: 'Alien: Paradise Lost'

Posted:

Ridley Scott has been dropping lots of details about his follow-up to "Alien" prequel "Prometheus" in recent months, and now, the director has shared the flick's new name.

In an interview with Hey U Guys, Scott said that rather than go with the traditional "Prometheus 2," the flick's title would instead draw inspiration from a famous epic poem, and be called "Alien: Paradise Lost." In addition to providing more of a direct link to the "Alien" franchise -- which Scott has said in the past that the "Prometheus" flicks will eventually do -- that title also gives filmgoers a bit of a taste of Scott's inspiration for the film's plot.

In case you're a bit rusty on high school English, here's Hey U Guys explaining John Milton's poem:

Building on the literary heritage of the previous film the allusion to John Milton is certain to have implications for the film's plot. Dealing with the Fall of Man, Milton's epic poem deals with the fall of Satan and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden - the loss of innocence and a terrifying, irreversible act is surely going to be a factor in the journey towards the events of Alien.

Of Mans First Disobedience, and the Fruit
Of that Forbidden Tree, whose mortal tast
Brought Death into the World, and all our woe,
With loss of Eden, till one greater Man
Restore us...

-- The opening of John Milton's Paradise Lost.

Later, Hey U Guys caught up with Scott again to have the director explain more about the choice for the flick's title.

"Because we're heading back to why and how and when the beast was invented," Scott told the site of his thought process with the name. "We'll go back in to the back door of the very first Alien [movie] I did 30 years ago."

Sounds pretty cool to us. No word yet on when "Alien: Paradise Lost" is set to hit theaters, though we expect we'll hear more from Scott himself soon. Stay tuned.

Quiz: Can You Match the Sleazebag to the Michael Douglas Movie?

Posted:

You know how Michael Douglas became a Hollywood icon? By owning the '80s and early '90s with his portrayals of slick-haired alpha males, possessing morals that ranged from questionable to non-existent.

You could tell how next-level the Douglas was gonna get by how much he slicked back his hair, and it was glorious. From "Fatal Attraction" to "Wall Street," one hasn't lived until they've seen Mikey D. in sleazebag mode.

In honor of the star's birthday this week, put your vintage Douglas movie knowledge to the test by matching the sleazebag to the movie he appeared in.

Is This New Shonda Rhimes Show the Next 'Grey's Anatomy'?

Posted:

2015 Summer TCA Tour - Day 8"Grey's Anatomy" is still going strong in its recently-launched 12th season on ABC. But do you remember those heady days back in the spring of 2005 when the show first debuted, when we first met Meredith and Izzie and George and Bailey, when Derek was, ya know, still alive? You can have that feeling back again, TV fans, thanks to a new show Shonda Rhimes and co. are launching on the Alphabet.

Together with her Shondaland production team and longtime "Grey's" executive producer Zoanne Clack, Rhimes just sold an as-yet-untitled medical drama to ABC that focuses on a U.S. Army Medevac team serving on an American base camp in Baghdad, Iraq circa 2004. The logline says that the crew "get on each others' nerves, sleep with the wrong people, navigate 'office' politics and party like there's no tomorrow," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Clack, who has a master's in public health and has been with "Grey's" since it started, will write the script for this new series, and will also serve as an executive producer alongside Shondaland. THR reports that Clack will take inspiration for the series in part thanks to her own experiences overseas, where she "spent a year working with the CDC in international emergency medicine and helped develop an emergency medicine program in response to the bombing of the American Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania."

We can't wait to see what Rhimes, Clack, and co. have up their sleeves with this show -- and if it lives up to the early seasons of "Grey's." With this creative team behind it, we have a feeling it just might.

Best of Late Night TV: Celebrity Mean Tweets and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Barbershop Quartet

Posted:

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
Mean Tweets Week is over on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and these are the best of the best from stars like Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell, Benedict Cumberbatch and Emily Blunt. Our favorite of the batch? "Kristen Bell seems like such a bitch, her vagina is probably an Alcatraz for penis." Yikes.

Chances are you already saw the video of Anne Hathaway nerding out over Mariah Carey. Well, Seth Meyers made her act out what would happen had she actually met Saint Mimi, and it was a hot mess. Not like "Glitter" hot mess, but close.

Finally, the best part of last night on late night? The Rag Time Gals are back! This time singing a barbershop quartet version of "Bitch Better Have My Money" -- with Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a surprise guest. Um, amazing. No words. Just amazing.
