The Last Horror Blog: Stephen King's 'Revival,' 'The Exorcist' On TV and More Posted: 04 Feb 2016 09:30 PM PST The Last Horror blog is your bi-weekly source for all things horror. Article Dashboard Horror News and Trailers Check out Patrick Stewart as a neo-Nazi in this new clip from Green Room We were already interested in Jeremy Saulnier’s neo-Nazi vs. indie rocker horror-drama Green Room based on the premise and the inclusion of Patrick Stewart in the cast – but we’re even more intrigued after seeing this new clip for the upcoming film. Check out the red band (Not Safe For Work) trailer below to prepare for the film’s April 24 release date. Seems like a good stretch away from Captain Picard and Professor X for Stewart, that’s for sure. Josh Boone tackles Stephen King’s Revival News that director Josh Boone is now... 'X-Men' TV Series 'Legion' Casts Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza Posted: 04 Feb 2016 08:00 PM PST The X-Men franchise arguably has the best casting of all the superhero properties, and now that fact is carrying over to the small screen. Legion, a TV series set to debut on the FX network later this year, is locking in starring roles ahead of next month's production start, and the latest additions look like an all-star team borrowing from past and present television favorites. Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens, who you should also know from the movie The Guest, is playing the lead, David Haller. In the comics Haller, aka Legion, is the son of Professor X, but the show will not actually be tied to the X-Men movies. Here he's just a mentally ill mutant antihero with multiple personalities and different powers to go with each identity. Joining him are Parks and... 'Demolition' Trailer: Watch Jake Gyllenhaal Demolish His Entire Life Posted: 04 Feb 2016 06:30 PM PST Jake Gyllenhaal's recent movie wives don't even have a lifespan long enough to survive the trailer. At least that was the case with Southpaw and now Demolition, the latest movie from Wild and Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallée. In it Gyllenhaal stars as a man facing some tough times when his life is shattered by the death of his wife. That may be a somewhat familiar setup for a movie, but what looks to really take Demolition to the next level is yet another remarkable performance by Gyllenhaal. It seems like year after year he's getting better and better material to work with (he's certainly grown a lot since Bubble Boy), and it's probably a safe bet that this is a movie to keep an eye on for his performance alone. When our Erik... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Watch: Super Bowl Players Make Oscar Predictions, Hilarity Ensues Posted: 04 Feb 2016 05:00 PM PST Media day during Super Bowl week is usually full of all the same old questions about how players are preparing for the big game and what they think it'll take to defeat their opponent -- blah blah, snooze. But what happens when you throw entertainment host (and Fandango Movieclips correspondent) Dan Perrault into the mix? Well, you get movie questions. So just how well do players from the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos know their movies? Not very well, unfortunately. The Danish Girl, The Martian and The Revenant are mentioned, but our favorite part comes when Dan asks Panthers kicker Graham Gano is he's seen the movie Creed. "Creed... the band?" That should tell you all you need to know when it comes to the players' movie skills. And... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Channing Tatum Was Almost In the 'Fast & Furious' Movies, But He Screwed It Up Posted: 04 Feb 2016 03:00 PM PST The smooth and suave Channing Tatum recently stopped by the Jimmy Kimmel show while promoting Hail, Caesar! (in theaters this week), and while there he romanced a lucky stranger yanked off the street in honor of Valentine's Day (watch the video below), but he also spoke about his worst audition ever for the film Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Back in 2006 -- before the Fast & Furious franchise found its footing again, reuniting franchise stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in 2009's Fast & Furious -- there was Tokyo Drift. And apparently a young Channing Tatum who was just starting to blossom as an actor (this was around the time of the first Step Up movie and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints) auditioned for a role in the Fast & Furious sequel. And he... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Trailer Roundup: Miles Teller and Anna Kendrick 'Get a Job,' Plus 'Me Before You' and More Posted: 04 Feb 2016 01:30 PM PST Emilia Clarke broke out big time during the first season of HBO's Game of Thrones and has remained a fan favorite. As Daenerys Targaryen, she began as a fairly timid young woman who quickly blossomed into a mighty leader. She demonstrated her action chops in last summer's Terminator: Genisys, taking on the iconic role of Sarah Connor and more than holding her own opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. But how will she do as the star of a beguiling romance? The first trailer for Me Before You reveals that Clarke shines as a young caregiver who falls for a recently disabled man (Sam Claflin). Jenna Coleman and Charles Dance also star; the movie will open in theaters on June 3. The first trailer for Get a Job feels surprisingly nostalgic. Produced in 2012 but only now...
