Marvel Studios Countdown: Who's Next for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'? Posted: 03 Nov 2015 08:00 PM PST Captain America: Civil War is in post-production, Doctor Strange is about to go before the cameras, and now Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just beginning to ramp up for its distant May 5, 2017 release. Last week, Pom Klementieff joined the principal cast in a yet-to-be-confirmed role. The word is Klementieff is playing Mantis, the green-skinned anntenaed “Celestial Madonna” familiar to hardcore Avengers comics fans (and a favorite creation of comic writer Steve Englehart). Mantis was a member of the Guardians under Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Paul Pelletier’s 2008 comic book reinvention of the team, which in turn inspired the movie. She has an almost ludicrously convoluted history as a character, filled with death, doppelgangers, false pregnancies, real... Watch: Here's Your First Action-Packed Look at the New 'Warcraft' Movie Posted: 03 Nov 2015 03:41 PM PST The fantastical world of Warcraft has already enjoyed great success with video games, books, and all sorts of nerdy entertainment -- but now it's ready for the big screen. And if this first look at the upcoming film -- due out this summer -- is any indication, we're in for a wild ride. Here's When You Can Watch Mark Wahlberg's 'The Six Billion Dollar Man' Posted: 03 Nov 2015 12:30 PM PST A different kind of hero is heading to theaters for Christmas 2017. The Six Billion Dollar Man, starring Mark Wahlberg, has now been scheduled for theatrical release on December 22, 2017, according to Variety. The movie has also secured a new director. The movie is drawn from the 1970s television series The Six Million Dollar Man, which starred Lee Majors as an astronaut who suffers severe injuries in a crash landing; some of his damaged body parts are replaced with bionic implants, giving him supernatural strength, speed and vision, and he becomes a secret agent. The show was based on Martin Caidin's novel Cyborg, first published in 1972; three made-for-television movies were initially broadcast in 1973, and their popularity led to the series the following year.
