Posted: 09 Dec 2016 03:02 AM PST

It hasn't been too long since the Spider-Man franchise was rebooted, but fans are doubly excited about Spider-Man: Homecoming (in theaters July 7) because it is the first full Spider-Man movie to be part of the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, which includes the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy.  We caught a glimpse of the new Spider-Man (played by Tom Holland) when he dropped in to one of the most epic battles ever featured in a superhero movie, stuffed right in the middle of Captain America: Civil War. And now we have our first good look at his first feature film -- one Marvel promises will be very different than what we've seen previously from both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man movies. Watch the first trailer...

'The Wall' Trailer: John Cena Is at the Mercy of a Sniper for 'Edge of Tomorrow' Director Doug Liman

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 07:30 PM PST

Doug Liman is always in talks for big projects, like Gambit and Splinter Cell, but he's in the news for more movies he doesn't do than those he does. One that didn't get a lot of attention when first announced, because it's not based on a comic book or video game, is a smaller, three-character feature called The Wall. Today, we get to see what it looks like with a brand new trailer.  The war movie stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena as a couple of American sharpshooters in Iraq. One day, Cena's character goes down at the hands of an unseen sniper, and Taylor-Johnson has to take cover and hide from the enemy's scope. As he tries to stay alive, unable to move away from a segment of wall, he begins radio communication with the...

Paramount Drops 'God Particle' From Its Calendar and Mysteriously Adds An Imax 'Cloverfield'

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 06:00 PM PST

It was a pleasant surprise for fans when Bad Robot revealed that an under-the-radar thriller it had been making, Valencia, was actually 10 Cloverfield Lane. They waited about eight weeks before the film was set to hit theaters to make the announcement and in turn rode a huge wave of anticipation to great box office success. Of course everyone instantly started to wonder if Bad Robot had other secret Cloverfields in the works.  Immediately all signs pointed to God Particle. When it was announced back in 2012, God Particle was said to be about astronauts on a space station who receive the shock of their lives when Earth suddenly disappears. The movie, directed by Julius Onah, went into production earlier this year with David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth...

Could 'Rogue One' Characters Appear in Other 'Star Wars' Movies?

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 04:30 PM PST

As Rogue One: A Star Wars Story nears its December 16 release date, one of the biggest questions fans have with regards to the film and its place within the Star Wars mythology is, well, where did all the Rogue One characters go after they stole those Death Star plans?  Based on all the other Star Wars films that exist -- including the film that immediately follows Rogue One chronologically, A New Hope -- only a tiny fraction of the characters featured in Rogue One appear in future installments. Characters like Darth Vader and Mon Mothma show up in the subsequent film, but no one else does. So what gives? Is Rogue One going to end with an explanation as to why we don't see Jyn Erso...

First 'Baywatch' Trailer Gives the Iconic '90s TV Show the '21 Jump Street' Treatment

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 01:30 PM PST

Nobody fully expected the 21 Jump Street movie to be as great as it was. It was based on an '80s cop show with an absurd premise and no real attachment to the current generation of pop culture. And then the movie came out and it was not only hilarious, but was a solid action movie to boot. Well, get ready for that pattern to repeat with Baywatch. Yes, the '90s show that's mainly iconic for its swimsuit clad men and women running in slow motion is getting turned into a movie. And yes, its first trailer ooks genuinely funny. Of course that's bound to happen when you've got The Rock, an action-comedy heavyweight, anchoring your movie. Dwayne Johnson was born to play roles like these. He's a handsome, oversized hero with a heart of gold and great sense of...

Watch New Footage in New 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Chinese Trailer

Posted: 08 Dec 2016 12:00 PM PST

China has developed into the second-largest film market in the world. To help protect movies that are produced locally, the country limits imported movies to just a few dozen titles per year. With those kind of numbers in mind, it's not guaranteed that every potential Hollywood blockbuster will have the opportunity to open in theaters throughout China. The decision is strictly in the hands of Chinese authorities. So, even though Star Wars: The Force Awakens was approved to open in Chinese theaters early this year, Disney didn't know for certain that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story would be granted the same opportunity. Approval was granted yesterday, however, and to celebrate, a new English-language trailer with Chinese subtitles has been released. Watch it...
