Posted: 07 Dec 2016 07:32 PM PST In the crazy business they call show, anything can happen and no plan is set in stone. Therefore, release dates may change on occasion, for whatever reason, and we just have to re-mark our calendars accordingly. Here are three such anticipated titles we'll be adjusting our patience for: CHiPS: March 24 Warner Bros. has shifted Dax Shepard's movie version of the hit '70s and '80s motorcycle cop show to the spring, up from its previous date of August 11. Shepard wrote and directed the movie and co-stars as Jon Baker alongside Michael Pena's take on Ponch. Life: March 24 Sony also moved this sci-fi thriller to the same date as CHiPS, out of its previous Memorial Day weekend slot. Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson and Ryan... New 'Fifty Shades Darker' Trailer Slips Out Of The Ordinary Posted: 07 Dec 2016 03:00 PM PST If you ever need proof that pop culture phenomena can come from the most unlikely places, just look to Fifty Shades of Grey. Originally published online as Twilight fan fiction called Master of the Universe, it became popular enough that writer E. L. James took it down and rewrote it as its own original, three-part story. With a new publisher on board, the books became monster hits around the world. Amazon has sold more copies of Fifty Shades of Grey in the UK than it has the entire Harry Potter series, which is kind of astonishing. And so here we are, only a few years after James startedher story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's complicated relationship and not only has the first Fifty Shades of Grey movie earned over $571 million at the global box office, but... Watch a Tiny Preview of the 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Trailer, Due Tomorrow Posted: 07 Dec 2016 12:19 PM PST The first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming will apparently drop tomorrow during Jimmy Kimmel Live, and to celebrate they've released a tiny bit of it online, teasing Peter Parker's upgraded Spidey suit. In the clip, Parker, recording himself found footage-style, is standing with Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), who alerts him to the fact that there's a briefcase waiting for him. That case houses a suped-up Spidey suit, courtesy of Tony Stark, and then we cut to Spider-Man sailing off a building and the utilizing those upgrades to transform his outfit into a wing suit -- one of the many new touches we imagine Spider-Man will boast throughout the movie thanks to Stark. Watch the preview below. The first part of this preview may actually take place prior to Spider-Man... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'Ocean's Eight' Villain Named; Spoiler: It's a Man Posted: 07 Dec 2016 12:00 PM PST Villains are just as important as heroes nowadays, especially in team-up movies. Back when the original Ocean's 11 was released in 1960, a villainous character named Duke Santos didn't even show up until after the lovable heroes had already pulled off their amazing casino heist. By the time Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and company remade the movie as Ocean's Eleven in 2001, villains had become essential, so villainous casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) became an integral element in the heist flick and also its sequel, Ocean's Twelve. The third installment, Ocean's Thirteen, featured nasty businessman Willy Bank (Al Pacino). Now that the primary heroines of spin-off movie Ocean's Eight have been assembled -- Sandra Bullock, Cate... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
