Tony Jaa (Skin Trade), Tiger Chen (Man of Tai Chi) and Iko Uwais (The Raid 2) will equally headline Triple Threat, an upcoming action film that’s best described as a martial arts-themed Expendables.

The film was previously known as Makeshift Squad – and was to be helmed by Gary Mak (Inside or Outside) – but now the production has shifted its direction to John Wick co-director, Chad Stahelski. Actress Angelababy (Mojin: The Lost Legend) is also attached.

According to THRTriple Threat revolves around a Chinese martial artist who goes to Mexico to rescue his ex-wife and their son after they are kidnapped by a drug cartel.

Tony Jaa can next be seen xXx: Return of Xander Cage, followed by Paradox, which is currently in production. You can catch Iko Uwais in the soon-to-be released, Headshot and Beyond Skyline. Tiger Chen is going for the sci-fi route in the forthcoming Time Cop-esque Kung Fu Traveller.

We’ll keep you updated on Triple Threat as we hear more. For now, let’s give Tiger Chen (the lesser-known of the three stars) some props in the trailer for Man of Tai Chi:

Jackie Chan is reuniting with noted Hong Kong director Stanley Tong (Rumble in the Bronx) for an upcoming action comedy titled Kung Fu Yoga, which is currently being prepped for a 2017 release.

Kung Fu Yoga is rumored to be more in line with Armor of God than spandex, spiritualism and yoga mats. In the film, Chan plays a renowned professor of archeology who teams up with the beautiful Indian professor to locate a lost treasure in tibet.

Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong created magic together in a string of some of Chan’s most loved films of the 90s, including 1992’s Police Story 3: Supercop, 1995’s Rumble in the Bronx and 1996’s Police Story 4: First Strike. Kung Fu Yoga will mark their first feature together since 2005’s The Myth.

Co-starring with Chan are Lay Zhang (of the K-pop group EXO), Miya Muqi (Tomb Robber), Aarif Rahman (Bruce Lee, My Brother) and Indian film stars Sonu Sood (Arundhati) and Ileana D’Cruz (Happy Ending).
