The 'Human Centipede 3' Trailer Is Somehow More Absurd Than The Last Two Posted: 06 May 2015 08:30 PM PDT Some franchises just make sense. James Bond can go on forever because there's endless stories you can tell with a handsome super spy saving the world. The Avengers can spin-off into a dozen different franchises all their own because it's got characters for days. But The Human Centipede? Who can really say they saw it getting a single sequel, yet alone two? Sure, the first movie about three strangers having their kneecaps removed and being sewn together in a butt-to-mouth chain to satisfy the dream of a mad doctor did come with the optimistic title The Human Centipede (First Sequence), but it's still kind of amazing that the grossout movie of 2009 proved popular enough to warrant further sequences. Alas, the improbably has once again come to pass, as The Human... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Real-life 'Shawshank Redemption' Gets a New Ending Posted: 06 May 2015 07:07 PM PDT If you haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption, then I'm sorry to say I'm about to ruin the ending for you. The movie is only the top-ranked title on IMDb and more than 20 years old, so it should be fair game, but here's your spoiler warning anyway. If you have seen The Shawshank Redemption, then I'm sorry to say I'm about to ruin the ending for you, too. Sort of. At the conclusion of the Frank Darabont-helmed prison drama, the main character, Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) escapes his cell and the whole complex of Shawshank State Penetentiary and makes his way to the sunny shores of Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Eventually he's joined by his paroled prison pal Red (Morgan Freeman) and presumably they both live out the rest of their days in paradise. Well... That's right, the boys (and their ripped bare chests) are indeed back for what looks to be a summer road trip you won't soon forget. Check out the new trailer below. The All-Star 'Magnifcent Seven' Cast Is Nearly Done - Here's Who Is In It So Far Posted: 06 May 2015 03:15 PM PDT Last year director Antoine Fuqua told us that the one movie he wished he could get his hands on for a remake was Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. But since that wasn't possible, he's taking on the next best thing: The Magnificent Seven. When we spoke to him, the only person who had been officially cast in the movie was his Equalizer star: "I've got Denzel and then we're going to start assembling in the next week or two. We don't film until next year, but to get all the great actors we want, you've got to get the schedules right, and that's very tough to do." Fast forward to this year and it seems all of those schedules have finally started aligning as more and more cast have been announced. Presenting Antoine Fuqua's Magnifcent... See How 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Pulled Off Its Incredible Stunts Posted: 06 May 2015 01:43 PM PDT Everything about Mad Max: Fury Road is unlike your typical modern-day Hollywood blockbuster, and that's why it's going to go down as a pretty special summer movie once all the post-apocalyptic dust settles at your local cineplex. Quite frankly, this is one helluva movie -- two hours of stunningly gorgeous apocalyptic mayhem -- and without saying anything more (we're embargoed till next week), just know that this is a piece of cinematic history you don't want to miss. I mean, c'mon. Look at this! If the trailers have taught us anything, it's that what truly makes Mad Max: Fury Road so special is the way it was shot, featuring more practical effects and physical stunt work than we're used to seeing in big blockbusters this time of...
