The Head of RADiUS-TWC Explains How The Crazy 'It Follows' Release Plan Actually Went Down Posted: 11 May 2015 07:40 PM PDT In September of 2013 we ran an interview with Tom Quinn and Jason Janego, the co-presidents of the distribution company RADiUS-TWC, with the headline The Secret Lives of Movies, According to the Guys Who Changed How We Watch Them. It was all about the past, present, and future of the way people watch movies, from the perspective of two of the guys who keep changing the way people watch movies. We've Seen 'Mad Max: Fury Road' -- Here Are 5 Things You Want To Know Posted: 11 May 2015 05:30 PM PDT There are many ways to sum up a movie like Mad Max: Fury Road, but let's just say that it is a masterpiece and a must-see -- two hours of stunningly gorgeous post-apocalyptic mayhem. How long will we have to wait for the next one? And will there be a next one? It's all in the hands of the cinema gods now -- we're just glad this ride exists because man is it fun, funky and refreshing -- the kind of movie we'll be talking about for the rest of 2015 and for many years to... New 'Jem and the Holograms' Photos Mix Up the Modern and the Retro Posted: 11 May 2015 04:36 PM PDT If all you saw of the new Jem and the Holograms movie was the above image, you'd wonder how this is supposed to be based on the totally outrageous and glitterific cartoon and toy line from the 1980s. But that's just Jem's alter ego, Jerrica Benton (Aubrey Peeples), a shy, normal girl who secretly moonlights as the leader of a popular rock band. The movie is set today, with the Holograms taking on a retro '80s look for their image and sound, all the way down to their keytars. See that image (and a keytar), and ease your worries in doing so, below. These new photos from the movie, which opens October 23, come to us via USA Today, and they illustrate the duality of the characters as they rise in fame under their Reagan-era-inspired guises. Enjoy the stills... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
