Watch Bill Murray Bring the Yuletide Cheer in the 'A Very Murray Christmas' Trailer Posted: 22 May 2015 06:30 PM PDT We love to spend the holidays with Bill Murray. There's Ghostbusters II on New Year's Eve, Hyde Park on Hudson on President's Day, Groundhog Day on Groundhog Day and, of course, Scrooged at Christmas*. Now we're going to have more of the actor to watch on that last holiday, because he's starring in a special called A Very Murray Christmas, which will debut on Netflix this December. Fans of Scrooged should be happy with the program, as one of that movie's screenwriters, Mitch Glazer, is now co-writing this with Murray and Sofia Coppola, who is also directing the special. Coppola worked with both Murray and Glazer on Lost in Translation, the former starring and the latter an associate producer on the... Comics on Film: The Joker & Harley Quinn - A Match Made in Hell Posted: 22 May 2015 05:00 PM PDT With set photos emerging from the production of Suicide Squad on a surprisingly consistent basis, fans have managed to glean quite a bit about the aesthetic design of the film and its characters well ahead of its 2016 release. We’ve also managed to catch a glimpse of what one of the film’s key relationships will look like: the one between Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Jared Leto’s Joker. These two characters have a rich history going back just over 20 years. While that amount of time is relatively minimal when compared with other comics characters – some of whom have passed their 50th, 60th, or 75th anniversaries recently – comic book readers and other audiences just can’t seem to get enough... Interview: Dolph Lundgren Talks the Comedy of the Coen Bros. and the Drama of 'Skin Trade' Posted: 22 May 2015 03:00 PM PDT Dolph Lundgren is a hard action star to pin down. It's not because he's been in less movies than, say, Jean-Claude Van Damme. It's not because he's had fewer hits than Steven Seagal. It's because while peers like Stallone and Schwarzengger were off making sequel after sequel, Lundgren, who has a master's degree in chemical engineering, was happy to start a family and take on a few movies here and there. When Lundgren does take on a movie, it's almost always something that stands on its own independent of a big franchise. And the latest project to fit that bill is Skin Trade, an intense action movie set in the very real world of human trafficking. Lundgren wrote and produced Skin Trade (available now on Video On Demand), which finds him playing a... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Watch: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Marries a Superfan at the 'San Andreas' Press Junket Posted: 22 May 2015 01:30 PM PDT He can save humanity when the world's biggest earthquake hits, and now he can also marry couples in the state of California. As part of an elaborate surprise constructed by Screen Junkies and Dwayne Johnson, the San Andreas star married one of his longtime superfans (and Screen Junkies celebrity interviewer) Nick Mundy during the press junket for his upcoming disaster epic, due out May 29. Mundy, who's worked up a bit of an on-camera friendship with Johnson ever since he first interviewed him back in 2013 for the film Pain & Gain, had absolutely no idea this was happening. His parents were flown in from Texas, all his friends and family were gathered -- and The Rock even went so far as to get himself ordained in the state of California in order to perform the... Posted: 22 May 2015 12:00 PM PDT Tinker: Reese Witherspoon will star in and produce Disney's Tinker, a live-action movie that will focus on Tinker Bell, aka Peter Pan's faithful fairy cohort. The project is still in development, with Victoria Spouse (Finding Dory, Pixar's sequel to Finding Nemo) working on a screenplay. Reportedly, it will focus on "the story you don't know," presenting a "new perspective" on the character, a la Maleficent. [Heat Vision] World War Z Sequel: A sequel to World War Z has been scheduled for release on June 9, 2017, opposite the sequel to Fantastic Four. World War Z proved to be a big hit, earning more than $540 million worldwide in 2013; Juan Antonio Bayona (moody horror flick The Orphanage, tsunami drama The Impossible) is still on...
