You might think you're safe from being caught now that your local Blockbuster is closed, empty and shuttered, but you are probably wrong. Just this week, a North Carolina man was arrested for never returning a copy of Freddy Got Fingered that he took out in 2002. That's all the way back when the first My Big Fat Greek Wedding was in theaters. The man in question, James Meyers, barely remembers renting the VHS tape of the Tom Green comedy and is flabbergasted that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest all this time. Comic Genius Garry Shandling, 66, Has Died Posted: 25 Mar 2016 12:00 PM PDT Garry Shandling, an influential stand-up comedian, actor, writer and director, has died, according to Los Angeles Times. He was 66. Shandling began his show business career in the 1970s as a writer for sitcoms such as Sanford and Son and Welcome Back, Kotter before focusing on stand-up comedy. In 1981, he snagged a coveted spot on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, which propelled him toward stardom. His first sitcom as star, It's Garry Shandling's Show, launched on Showtime in 1986. The show merrily mocked sitcom conventions, featuring contributions from writers including Larry David and a flock of people who later moved on to The Simpsons.
