PEZ and 'Dungeons and Dragons' Movies Are Officially Headed to the Multiplex Posted: 03 Aug 2015 09:01 PM PDT Hollywood owes everything to The Lego Movie right now. A few years ago, we were all complaining about every branded item on the toy and game shelves being slated for movie adaptations. Then, just when everyone was like, "See, look how awful Battleship is!" (ps: I personally love Battleship), the brllliant chaos of Chris Miller and Phil Lord's Lego-brickapalooza had us going, "Wait, wait, wait, anything is possible." Now anytime a studio pitches the world on something like a PEZ movie, they can say, "Just remember, you had little faith in a Lego movie, too, and look how that turned out." So, yes, there is reportedly now a PEZ movie in the works. PEZ is kind of a toy, but it's also more a candy. We've previously heard of... Is This How the 'Star Wars' Movies Will Include Characters from 'Star Wars Rebels'? Posted: 03 Aug 2015 06:00 PM PDT This December marks the return of Star Wars to the big screen with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is Disney's intention to then start releasing one live-action Star Wars movie per year, with standalone Anthology films arriving in the years between chapters in a new trilogy that picks up 30 years after Return of the Jedi. But with one successful Star Wars TV show (Star Wars Rebels) already up and running, what are the chances characters from that show will eventually show up in one of these movies? Well, we may have our answer. The first standalone movie is Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, and what we know so far is that it will take place right before the first Star Wars, telling the story of how the rebels got their hands on the Death Star plans. Those plans, of course... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

Watch: 'Deadpool' Figures Out the Perfect Way to Do a Trailer for a Trailer Posted: 03 Aug 2015 03:00 PM PDT The trailer for a trailer has become the lamest trend in movie marketing. Nobody wants to see a 15 second clip that exists just to tease when you're going to be able to watch a 90 second clip. That said, Deadpool has just dropped the mic on trailers for trailers. If anyone is going to do one from here on out, it has to be better than this. And good luck, because it's not going to be easy to top. The full trailer will be online tomorrow after a broadcast-safe version of it premieres on Conan O'Brien's late night show tonight, but to whet your appetite, here's star Ryan Reynolds once again proving how this Deadpool is going to be very, very different from the Deadpool who showed up in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Warning, some language in this is... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
