Superhero Round-up: Wolverine Jumps Into an R-Rated Future, the Next 'X-Men' Go Full '90s Posted: 09 May 2016 08:30 PM PDT Wolverine was once the breakout star of the cinematic X-Men universe. Even though he never really led the X-Men, and often didn't even want to be a part of the X-Men, he somehow became more associated with the mutant superheroes than those with bigger, flashier powers. He even remained a fan favorite despite being the star of a poorly received solo movie. But these days Wolverine is no longer the marquee attraction. The X-Men have a whole new roster of younger, fresh faces to push, and it looks like Wolverine is back to being a loner after X-Men: Apocalypse. Hugh Jackman's third, and reportedly final, solo Wolverine movie has just begun filming, and so producer Simon Kinberg has decided to confirm a few rumors: - It's like a violent Western. - It's going to be... Watch Tom Hanks Head Back Into 'Da Vinci Code' Mode In First 'Inferno' Trailer Posted: 09 May 2016 06:00 PM PDT For many, the next Star Wars movie (Rogue One) is the most highly anticipated thing with Felicity Jones this year. But surely there are a lot of Dan Brown fans looking forward to Inferno even more. It's been seven years since the last adaptation of a book from Brown's Robert Langdon series (Angels & Demons), and a whole decade since The Da Vinci Code first brought the character to the big screen. The Oscar-nominated actress joins the series with this third movie, once again directed by Ron Howard. Tom Hanks also returns as Langdon, the master symbologist, and Jones plays a doctor treating him for amnesia in Florence who winds up going on the run with him. The puzzle this time involves a plague meant to treat the world's overpopulation problem... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

See Michael Fassbender in New 'Assassin's Creed' Photos Posted: 09 May 2016 01:00 PM PDT As more photos are released from the upcoming Assassin's Creed, we're getting a better idea of the movie's scope. Two new photos reinforce the distinct eras that will be depicted in the video game adaptation. Michael Fassbender stars as Callum Lynch, a descendant of a man named Aguilar who lived in 15th century Spain. Aguilar was a member of a secret society known as the Assassins. The photo above, via Coming Soon, shows Aguilar in warrior mode. The other new photo reveals Callum Lunch in trouble in the modern day. In fact it looks like he's about to be executed, a conclusion we draw based on a previous photo of the character being visited by a priest in what looks like a prison cell. Callum Lynch is a new character, created especially for the... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
