Watch New CW Show Trailers: 'Frequency,' 'No Tomorrow,' 'Supergirl' Posted: The CW loves its superheroes. The network already boasts hits in "Arrow" and "The Flash," as well as the spinoff "Legends of Tomorrow." Next season, it adds "Supergirl," which is moving from CBS. The network renewed nearly every one of its shows, so there isn't a ton of room on the fall schedule. Indeed, even established series like "The Originals" and "Reign" appear to be waiting in the wings for midseason. Here are the trailers for The CW's new shows: "Frequency," a reimagining of the 2000 film, follows a detective (Peyton List) who can communicate with her dead father through the radio. This causes her to experience dual timelines, one in which her father died and one in which he didn't: "No Tomorrow" is all about carpe diem, when Evie Callahan (Tori Anderson) meets a new guy (Jesse Rath) who says the apocalypse is coming. It doesn't, but his prediction does cause Evie to live more outrageously: "Supergirl" moves from CBS to its sister network, and continues the adventures of Kara (Melissa Benoist), the cousin of Superman: Want more stuff like this? Watch New Fox Show Trailers: 'Prison Break,' '24: Legacy,' 'Exorcist,' More Posted: Everything old is new again on Fox. Now that the network no longer has "American Idol," it's looking to new dramas and comedies to fill that ratings void. Onetime Fox hits "24" and "Prison Break" return, the former with a new star and the latter as a limited series. Also on deck are adaptations of movies "Lethal Weapon" and "The Exorcist." And to capture the magic that "Empire" brought to Fox, the network has ordered another Lee Daniels' series in "Star." Here are the trailers for Fox's new shows: "24: Legacy," with Corey Hawkins as a new agent seeking to save the world from terrorists: "A.P.B", with Justin Kirk as a tech billionaire who buys himself a police precinct: "The Exorcist": "Lethal Weapon": "Making History," with Adam Pally as a time traveler who woos Colonial era Leighton Meester: "The Mick," starring Kaitlin Olsen as a hot mess who has to raise her sister's kids: "Pitch" follows a young female pitcher who is the first woman to play in the major leagues: "Prison Break" finds Wentworth Miller still alive and Dominic Purcell looking to free him from behind bars: "Shots Fired" is an event series following a racially-charged shooting in a small Southern town: "Son of Zorn," starring Jason Sudeikis in a voice role on a half-live action, half-animated comedy: "Star" follows a girl group rising to fame and fortune: Want more stuff like this? Watch New NBC Show Trailers: 'This Is Us,' 'Timeless,' 'The Good Place' Posted: NBC ends the current TV season in solid position. The network canceled a few underperforming shows, but on the whole, has a dependable lineup of dramas and comedies. Still, NBC does need to fill some holes this fall, and to do that, it's turning to veteran producers like Michael Schur ("The Office," "Parks and Recreation"), Eric Kripke ("Supernatural"), and of course, all-star Dick Wolf. The latter is contributing yet another installment in his Chicago series, "Chicago Justice." Most of NBC's new series do not have trailers, including high-profile projects like a "Taken" TV adaptation and the "Wizard of Oz" reimagining "Emerald City." Here are the network's three available trailers: "The Good Place": From Michael Schur, executive producer of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Parks and Recreation" and "The Office," comes a smart, unique new comedy that follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, "House of Lies," "Veronica Mars"), an ordinary woman who, through an extraordinary string of events, enters the afterlife where she comes to realize that she hasn't been a very good person. With the help of her wise newfound afterlife mentor (Ted Danson, "Bored to Death," "Cheers"), she's determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or at least the pretty good) person within. Directed by Drew Goddard, the Oscar-nominated writer of "The Martian." "This Is Us": Sometimes life will surprise you. Starring Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember"), Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes," "Gilmore Girls") and Sterling K. Brown ("The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story)," this refreshingly honest and provocative series follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect. From the writer and directors of "Crazy, Stupid, Love." comes a smart, modern dramedy that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know. "Timeless": From Eric Kripke ("Revolution," "Supernatural"), Shawn Ryan ("The Shield") and the producers of "The Blacklist" comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Our only hope is an unexpected team: a scientist, soldier and history professor who must use the machine's prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. Can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it's too late? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. Watch New ABC Show Trailers: 'Conviction,' 'Notorious,' More Posted: Hayley Atwell lost a job and gained another in one fell swoop. The actress's "Agent Carter" was canceled by ABC, but now she's headlining a new legal drama titled "Conviction." It's just one of a large crop of new series ordered by the network, which cleared out its schedule in canceling "Agent Carter," "Castle," "The Family," "The Muppets," and "Nashville." The new shows continue ABC's brand mixing sexy, serialized dramas with family comedies. And for the first time in a few years, Thursday will not be entirely ruled by Shonda Rhimes' shows. Due to Kerry Washington's pregnancy, "Scandal" is being held until midseason. In its place, talk show drama "Notorious" will try to continue the #TGIT magic. Here are the trailers for ABC's new series: "Conviction," starring Hayley Atwell as a troubled former First Daughter who reluctantly joins a wrongful conviction legal team: "Designated Survivor," with Kiefer Sutherland as a low-level Cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes president: "Notorious" stars Piper Perabo as an ambitious news producer: "Time After Time," debuting midseason, follows H.G. Wells when he travels through time to modern-day New York to catch Jack the Ripper: "American Housewife," starring Katy Mixon as a somewhat less than perfect mother of three "Downward Dog," premieres midseason and tells the story of a millennial dog owner from the dog's point of view: "Imaginary Mary," starring Jenna Elfman as an independent career woman whose life is turned upside when she falls for a man with three kids: "Speechless," with Minnie Driver as a mom of three, including a kid with cerebral palsy: Want more stuff like this? Watch New CBS Show Trailers: 'Star Trek,' 'MacGyver,' More Posted: CBS is sticking with familiar formulas, familiar faces, and familiar brands for its new lineup this fall. Its new series include a reboot of "MacGyver" and a TV sequel to the movie "Training Day," as well as a reboot of "Star Trek" and a spinoff of "The Good Wife" for its CBS All-Access streaming service. New 'Purge: Election Year' Trailer: Keep America Great! Posted: "I purge because staying in is un-American." The purge is back for another round of brutal, murderous anarchy in "The Purge: Election Year." The trailer is eerily well-timed to hit right in the middle of a crazy real-life election cycles and conjures up a very familiar slogan with its own: "Keep America Great." The set-up is similar to the previous two horror hits — it's time for the purge, 12 hours of free-for-all crime sprees. But this could be the last purge ever, since presidential frontrunner Charlene Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell) has vowed to abolish it for good. But shady factions within the government want to keep the purge, and Charlene and her security chief (Frank Grillo) are forced out into the purge to fend for themselves."The Purge" has become one of the better action-horror franchises in recent years, and "Election Year" looks intriguing. Its parallels to current events look to make it even more arresting. After all, this horror could become real. "The Purge: Election Year" opens in theaters July 1. Want more stuff like this? Daniel Craig Turned Down $99M to Return as Bond? Not So Fast! Posted: Twitter is currently That news came via anonymous sources to The Daily Mail but, shortly afterward, separate "authoritative Bond sources" told BBC News that Daniel Craig hasn't made any decisions about his future as 007, and "no decision is likely to be made for a while" since the next film wouldn't be expected in theaters until late 2018 at the earliest. But Daniel Craig has not made it a big secret that he doesn't want to return to the role of 007, and fans have spent the past year naming potential successors. Frankly, more people seem to want to believe the news that DCraig is quitting. One "L.A. film source" told the Daily Mail, "Daniel is done – pure and simple – he told top brass at MGM after 'Spectre.' They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn't what he wanted. He had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing, but the film company still felt he could come around after 'Spectre' if he was offered a money deal." That money deal was reportedly £68 million (the equivalent of over $99 million U.S. dollars) to return for two more Bond films, and would include endorsements, profit shares, and a role for him as co-producer. But one of their sources said execs finally agreed to let Craig go from his contract after tiring of his criticism of the franchise. (If he criticized "Spectre," he may have had a point...)
The BBC News report basically said "not so fast" on all of that, possibly because Craig is still under contract. Still, fans are now pushing hard for their faves as replacements -- with Tom Hiddleston appearing to be a lead horse in the race, along with Idris Elba, plus Hugh Jackman, Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, etc.
If they really don't expect a movie in theaters until late 2018 at the earliest, then this Bond race could last longer than the 2016 presidential election. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

Watch Kanye West Silence 'Ellen' With Riveting, Rambling 7-Minute Speech Posted: "What's the point of thinking?" Once Kanye West said that on "Ellen," you had to know a classic Kanye rant/monologue was coming. West was on Ellen DeGeneres's show on Thursday, and things started pretty light, with Ellen noting that his wife Kim Kardashian said she didn't want any more children. "I'm fine to just practice," Kanye quipped. Ellen added that Kim said she wanted a board of directors to vet Kanye's tweets before they went live. He disagreed with that idea, saying he has never regretted anything that he tweeted. Then Ellen joked that maybe Kanye should've put his plea to Mark Zuckerberg for $53 million on Facebook instead of Twitter. That was the impetus for Kanye (who knows some call him "whacko Kanye") to launch a very nonlinear speech about truth, wanting more resources to help the world, the paparazzi, the modern Renaissance, his father, the Oscars, Leo, his aim to be the "Michael Jackson of apparel," shoes, bullying, his condition of seeing sounds, and believing that as an artist he can make a difference in the world. He also briefly danced for the audience, and got himself bleeped out a couple of times. And there was something about the bone density machine from "The Pursuit of Happyness." Whether you could follow it or not, it was an epic speech that left the audience speechless. Kanye said he was even shaking he was so passionate about what he was trying to say. Ellen just let him speak, which was probably the right move. He had some points to make but you have to dig for them. "I'm sorry, daytime television," Kanye said at the close. "I'm sorry for the realness." He smiled and laughed and the audience cheered. Ellen quipped, "It's not daytime television anymore." She also said, after that, they would play a game called "5 Second Rule," "which should be very fun with Kanye." Watch this full video: Data curated by PrettyFamous Want more stuff like this? Zac Efron Can Explain This Awful Crimped Eighth-Grade Hairstyle Posted: Zac Efron recently admitted that he signed up for "Neighbors 2" to be objectified. He knew it was coming. You can imagine the answer is similar for the new "Baywatch" movie. He's a good-looking dude, but he wasn't always such a heartthrob. Zac was just on "The Tonight Show Starrring Jimmy Fallon" and Jimmy broke out Zac's new cover of Men's Fitness. He wanted to know how Zac got to that point of hotness from the awkward crimped-hair throwback photo he just happened to have on standby. Zac said the photo was of him at a summer camp for the arts. "I think I lied about my age to get in. I was actually an eighth-grader and they only let in juniors and seniors, and a few freshman, and I squeezed in. I got in as a freshman. So it was just me and a bunch of a lot older girls and they crimped my hair. And I thought I was awesome!" Jimmy asked if they just wanted to see how he'd look with crimped hair or what? "Anything they told me, I just said yes," Zac admitted. Jimmy asked Zac if he thought he could still pull off that style (no one can!) then broke out a cheesy crimped wig. But Jimmy brought one for himself as well, so they both wore their wigs and started dancing, and they kept the wigs on during their Water War game ... at least until they got soaked, then had to take them off. Both videos are fun, check them out: Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
TV Shows to Watch When You're Bored Posted: Once it settles, the dark cloud of boredom can be difficult to escape. Fortunately, the 21st century has provided many ways to access entertainment that'll send boredom packing. But what do you do when you're bored of television? When formulaic shows and canned laugh tracks just aren't cutting it, it's time to bring out the big guns. These are the series that will battle for your attention and wake up those sleepy synapses. Binge on any of these five shows to bid a fond farewell to TV tedium. From relentless comic book action to the most aggressive comedy, these shows don't know the meaning of taking it easy. In fact, you may not want to look away for a second. Save the low-key shows for a low-key day -- now is the time for big stories, big characters, and a big pay-off. 'Jessica Jones' (2015 - ) Krysten Ritter is fierce and affecting as the titular heroine in this Marvel Comics adaptation. Jessica is a hard-drinking, hard-living private investigator with superhuman powers and a lot of ghosts in her past. The most terrifying of them is Kilgrave, a man with no remorse and a commanding power of suggestion. Can Jessica save Manhattan from Kilgrave's will? It's a wild, tense, and violent ride, right up to their final showdown. 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' (2005 - ) How can you be bored when you're in a constant state of shock? Now entering Season 12, this "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has charged gleefully into places no other sitcom has dared to before. The Gang has done it all: experimental cocaine binges, child beauty pageants, possible cannibalism ... the list goes on. Not for the faint of heart or easily offended, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" makes comedy a contact sport. 'Orphan Black' (2013 - ) Star Tatiana Maslany plays a growing cadre of identical clones in a revolutionary series that's almost impossible to categorize. Part science fiction thriller, part dark comedy, and part family drama, "Orphan Black" has enough shady organizations, shocking confessions, and surprisingly poignant moments to hold anyone's attention. And Maslany gives a master class in acting in every episode. 'Breaking Bad' (2008 - 2013) The moment high school chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is diagnosed with cancer, "Breaking Bad" stomps on the gas and never lets up. With Shakespearean-level drama and masterfully directed action sequences, the award-winning series explores what makes a villain and how that villain is made. Watching the ripple effect of Walt's lost humanity roll through his New Mexico town is as addictive as the meth he and his tragic partner Jesse (Aaron Paul) cook and sell -- we assume. 'American Horror Story' (2011 - ) There's nothing else on television quite like Ryan Murphy's grossly engrossing anthology series. Each season sends a cast of new and returning actors (Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Jessica Lange are usual suspects) to another creepy setting: first, a haunted Murder House, then an Asylum, a Coven, a Freak Show, and one chilling Hotel. One benefit of "American Horror Story" and its constant refreshing? The series is bound to cover everyone's worst fear, eventually. Happy watching! See the Creepy First Photos From Winona Ryder's Netflix Series 'Stranger Things' Posted: Admit it. Some days you wish you could hop in a DeLorean and head back to the 1980s to hang out with the decade's goth-queen-in-residence, Winona Ryder. Now you can, thanks to Netflix.
Speaking of space and conspiracies, it sounds like there may be a kind of "X-Files" element to "Stranger Things"; People added that, as Joyce's friends, family and officials try to solve the case of her missing son, they end up stumbling on a mystery that features secret government experiments and supernatural forces. "Stranger Things" will be available for streaming July 15 on Netflix. Check out these first photos via People: Winona Ryder (as Joyce), Charlie Heaton (as Jonathan), and Natalia Dyer (as Nancy). David Harbour (right) Finn Wolfhard (as Mike, left) and Millie Bobby Brown (as Eleven). If you're wondering where Winona Ryder has been lately, besides shooting this Netflix drama, she was recently featured in HBO's "Show Me a Hero," plus Comedy Central's "Drunk History," and the 2015 bio-drama "Experimenter" with Peter Sarsgaard. Chloe Moretz Says Zac Efron Has a Great Personality Under All Those Abs Posted: "Neighbors 2" stars Chloë Moretz, Kiersey Clemons, and Beanie Feldstein might not have a crush on Zac Efron, but they definitely didn't hate staring at his abs. The ladies of "Sorority Rising" sit down with Moviefone to explain why ogling Efron's abs is all about female empowerment. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'The CW' Lists Fall 2016 Schedule: 'Supergirl' Arrives, 'Supernatural' Moves Posted: The CW has a "super" new lineup for Fall 2016-2017, including the arrival of "Supergirl," which appears to be making a smooth transition from CBS on the same night and time, plus "Supernatural" moving once again for Season 12, this time back to Thursdays. The network really wants to keep fans on their toes with that show (which also has new showrunners). Whatever. Fans will follow it wherever it goes, even if it gets traded to CBS like a network fantasy league.
The CW will launch its 2016-17 broadcast season in October, with exact premiere dates to be announced later.

'Survivor' Names Surprising Winner, Reveals Generation Battle for Season 33 Posted: What a ride. "Survivor: Kaôh Rōng," aka Season 32 -- and the second to carry the "Brains, Brawn, and Beauty" theme -- ended last night with a dramatic two hour finale and one-hour reunion show. Who won the $1 million and title of Sole Survivor? Mark the Chicken! OK, maybe not, but he earned it. He was even there at Final Tribal on Tai Trang's lap.
But Jeff Probst had one final twist: Whoever won the final challenge got to kick someone off the jury. Michele won that challenge and chose, wisely, to oust one of Aubry's main allies, Neal. (You could tell it was a wise move when he insulted Michele as a puppy on his sashay out.) Michele's final challenge wins and post-merge strategic decisions seemed to seal the deal, with Scot Pollard saying she had a weak start but a strong end, which (in his eyes) was the opposite of Aubry and Tai. If Aubry had won that last challenge and took Julia Sokolowski off the jury, then maybe this whole thing would be flipped and she'd win. At the end of the reunion show (which Sia crashed to give Tai and his favorite animal charity $50,000)...
... Jeff Probst teased what's ahead this fall on Season 33: A stereotype-driven generation war in Millennials vs Gen X. This certainly has the potential to be insufferable, but maybe it will be a pleasant surprise instead. Probst said the Fiji location is his favorite so far. Read more of his thoughts on the fall 2016 season. Are you happy that Michele won? With a few notable exceptions (ahem, Jason and Scot) this was a pretty good cast, so hopefully a few of them get to return to play again. Aubry should go first. Want more stuff like this? Turtles Can Fly in Exclusive 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' Sneak Peek Posted: What would Vin Diesel do? In this action-packed exclusive clip from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows," Raphael (Alan Ritchson) asks himself that very question before jumping out of a plane ... to land on another plane, presumably as part of a mission. His brothers in turtle arms have already taken the plunge, led by Donatello (Jeremy Howard), who reminds them they have a 30-second window. He's followed by Leonardo (Pete Ploszek), and then Michelangelo (Noel Fisher) -- even though he doesn't have a chute. "I don't need a chute, I've got my board," Michelangelo yells, diving out the door. "Woohoooooo!" As the first three turtles land on the other plane, Raphael summons the bravery of his idol, Diesel: "No regrets. No fear!" Go big or go home, right? "TMNT: Out of the Shadows" follows the adventures of the four turtles as they once again fight their archenemy, Shredder, who's teamed up with a mad scientist in a plot to take over the world. Naturally, they get some help from their April O'Neil (Megan Fox), as well as a new face, vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), to save human and turtle kind. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" opens in theaters June 3rd. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
TV Shows to Watch If You Miss Classic '90s Teen Movies Posted: Ahhh. The glory days of teen movies ... The '90s. You know, the ones where all you had to do was take off the she-geek's glasses and she was gorgeous (like in "She's All That" starring Rachel Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr). What about such classics as "Never Been Kissed" with Drew Barrymore essentially getting to redo high school with much better results? Even "The Craft" is a pretty huge classic '90s teen movie that people still watch to this day. The magic of those classic '90s movies hasn't been lost on the youth of today. No way. In fact, one might say that the classic '90s teen movies have evolved and turned into the plethora of incredible television shows currently on TV today. There are so many amazing television shows from "Game of Thrones" to "Broad City" to, well, just about everything. However, when that wave of nostalgia hits and re-watching those movies just won't do, here are a couple shows to remind you just why those '90s shows were THE BEST EVER. 'Jane the Virgin' (2014 - ) "Jane the Virgin" is such a gem of a television show that everyone should watch it. People who are still holding out on watching this CW show can finally give in because it's definitely one of those shows that is reminiscent of '90s teen movies. It has a love triangle, crazy supporting characters that make you laugh all the time, and, of course, an extremely lovable star in the form of Gina Rodriguez. Seriously, what are you waiting for? Start watching this show! 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' (1997 - 2003) Alright, adding "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" to this list is kind of cheating since it's not exactly on the air anymore, but if there's a better way to honor Joss Whedon's greatest creation and Sarah Michelle Gellar's most badass character, than it's this. This series is for the fans that want to relive the classics like "The Craft" but with more vampire butt-kicking with a side of witchcraft. 'My Mad Fat Diary' (2013 - ) Here comes the British invasion. "My Mad Fat Diary," which centers around a teenager dealing with body image issues and the number one problem of teens around the world -- wanting to have sex -- is reminiscent of "10 Things I Hate About You" with a spin to it. 'Pretty Little Liars' (2010 - ) Full of intrigue, mystery, murder, and hotties with bodies, "Pretty Little Liars" will satisfy the needs of fans that enjoyed when "Scream" hit theaters. Sure, the mystery of who Ghostface is was solved within one movie, but on "PLL" the mystery keeps going even when you think its been solved Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, and Shay Mitchell are constantly thinking they've found "A" only to get sucked back into the mystery and violence again. The show is basically a Chinese finger trap for viewers -- they can never escape the mystery. 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' (2015 - ) This one comes out of left field only because it's a musical and the era of musicals didn't really hit until a couple years ago when "Glee" came around, but "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' is so charming everyone NEEDS to watch it. Rachel Bloom's brainchild of a show is kind of like a '90s teen movie with music on crack that will have you laughing throughout the whole show. Seriously, if you only watch one show from this entire list, let it be this show. Sources This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
