It's hard enough for an adult to watch a Kung Fu Panda movie, see a picture of Po and not automatically hear Jack Black's catchphrase in their head. Kids, though? It's like catnip to them. But where does skadoosh come from? How did that become Po's catchphrase? Is there a meaning behind it? Is it totally random? Well, thanks to this exclusive clip from a featurette on the May 13 Digital HD release of Kung Fu Panda 3, we finally have the official answer. Gather your kids and check it out. Psylocke Was Not the Original Fourth Horseman of 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Posted: 12 May 2016 07:30 PM PDT You may have heard that Olivia Munn chose playing a badass evil mutant in X-Men: Apocalypse over the role of the love interest in Deadpool, but what you may not know is that her character in the former almost didn't even exist. According to Cinema Blend, Psylocke, the katana- and psychic-sword-wielding character played by Munn in the upcoming superhero sequel, was only added to the script at the last minute. So what other character did she replace as the fourth "Horseman" of the villain Apocalypse? Apparently there wasn't a fourth. Not really. Here's what producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg told the site about an earlier draft: "I don’t know why we made this decision, but we knew that Professor X was abducted in the middle of the... 'Hell or High Water' Trailer: Chris Pine, Jeff Bridges and Plenty of Banks to Rob Posted: 12 May 2016 06:00 PM PDT Pop quiz: Can you name a modern movie about a bank that actually portrays it in any kind of a positive light? I sure can't. Nobody likes banks. They're such an easy villain that you can make a movie where your protagonists are clear, unapologetic criminals, but as long as their victim is a bank, they're still somehow the good guys. That looks to be the case with Hell or High Water, a new drama starring Chris Pine and Ben Foster as a pair of brothers who start robbing banks in order to raise the money to save their mom's farm... before the bank forecloses on it (banks!). And even though the small town folk seem to be rooting on the boys' bank robbing spree, they are still criminals. Enter Jeff Bridges as the cop who seems to be one day away from retirement who... Antonio Banderas Is the Latest Aging Action Star to Get His Own 'Taken' Style Movie Posted: 12 May 2016 04:30 PM PDT The bummer reality of Hollywood is that the older you get, the fewer roles you get. This is brutally true for women, whose options for characters and franchises can go from "Leading Lady" to "Mom #2" seemingly over night. But in recent years aging men have gotten a bit of a leading man loop hole, and it's largely thanks to Liam Neeson and his Taken franchise. Those movies were so remarkably successful that it seems like every big name actor who made an action movie in the '80s or '90s is now getting their own movie about a grizzled old guy trying to live a simple life until some bad dudes take someone they love. Neeson's made a whole new career out of it. Sean Penn got in on the action with The Gunman. John Travolta and Nicolas Cage both have a... Watch: First 'Assassin's Creed' Trailer Sends Michael Fassbender Back to the Spanish Inquisition Posted: 12 May 2016 11:00 AM PDT Imagine waking up one day and being told you're dead. That's what happens to Michael Fassbender in the first trailer for Assassin's Creed, the video game adaptation that's heading to the big screen later this year. It's a little different than what we had imagined after seeing the promotional photos for the film earlier this week. Fassbender stars as Callum Lynch, and as the trailer begins he wakes up and is informed by Marion Cotillard that he was executed the day before. Watch the trailer below to see what happens next. The official synopsis had hinted that Callum Lynch would be experiencing the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain, thanks to a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories. Now we know that... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
