SDCC 2015: Tom Hiddleston Is All About the 'Sex and Death' in 'Crimson Peak' Posted: Tom Hiddleston's new role in "Crimson Peak" just might give Loki a run for his money. The actor, best known as the fan-favorite villain from "Marvel's The Avengers," joined director Guillermo del Toro at Comic-Con this weekend to promote their new gothic horror romance, which finds Hiddleston's character, Thomas, exploring territory so dark (and sexy) that it would make Thor's (adopted) brother blush. "I play the tall, dark stranger of [this] gothic romance," Hiddleston told Moviefone Contributing Editor Jessica Wedemeyer in our exclusive interview. "Essentially, it's driven by two very powerful forces in life, which are sex and death." Hiddleston also stressed that while the haunted house thriller has a "very pronounced" sexuality, the film doesn't disappoint in the scares department. "The film's gothic element is very much about ghosts and the supernatural. So the house holds secrets -- it's a very old house -- the same way that people hold secrets. We all are defined by our pasts, and the house is very much a major character in that regard. The house is defined by what the house has lived through, what the house has seen, the secrets the house holds -- and they are terribly frightening." The only thing more frightening is how dedicated Hiddleston's screaming fanbase is to the actor's projects. His "Crimson Peak" director (jokingly) argued at Comic-Con that they would remain loyal to the actor "even if they found out he was grinding up puppies in a back alley." "On the record, I'd like to say I've never ground a puppy," Hiddleston said. "I think people would [find that to be a] legitimately objectionable thing to do -- and I would be no fan of myself." All kidding aside, the actor is very mindful -- and grateful -- of the care space that audiences have made for him. "Honestly, I'm still so amazed and flattered that I have fans. It's not something that I ever thought would happen to me. I continue to be astonished by the whole thing -- but delighted at the same time." Hiddleston's fans can't wait to see his new movie, which hits theaters Oct. 16. Watch the trailer below. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

Here's Your First Look at Lady Gaga in 'AHS: Hotel' Posted: As "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy revealed at Comic-Con this weekend, Lady Gaga will be playing an evil character on the upcoming fifth season of the horror anthology series. Now, fans have their first, brief glimpse at what Gaga will look like on the show. A new, quick teaser for "AHS: Hotel" depicts a close-up shot of the titular establishment's front desk, and the ornate brass bell that guests ring for service. Suddenly, a silver-colored hand shoots into the shot, ringing the bell and then drumming its long fingernails on the counter. It's obviously not a lot to go on -- there's no dialogue, and only a handful of seconds of actual footage, after all -- but it's certainly creepy, and immediately evokes lots of questions. Is this meant to imply that Gaga's character is some sort of sliver-coated creature? (That certainly looks like her actual skin and nails in that shot.) And if that is indeed the case, how and why did she get that way? There's been plenty of mystery surrounding this season so far, and we like the fact that this teaser lives up to its name, while still giving viewers a bit of information (however small that bit may be). We can't wait to see what other surprises Murphy and co. have in store. "American Horror Story: Hotel" is set to premiere on FX sometime this October. SDCC: The 'Suicide Squad' Comic-Con Trailer Is Finally Online Posted: There were plenty of descriptions of the new "Suicide Squad" trailer that debuted at Comic-Con this weekend (and plenty of bootleg versions, too), but now, the official clip has finally made its way online for your (legal) viewing pleasure. Earlier reports suggested that the introduction of The Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) evoked the biggest reactions from the Comic-Con crowd, and it's not hard to see why. Quinn gets the most screen time of the two in the extended clip, first appearing as an ethereal figure trapped in a cage by Squad assembler Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), dangling from the enclosure like an acrobat; later, she licks the bars in a move that's both sexy and creepy as hell (no doubt the intention of filmmakers). Waller describes Quinn and co. as "the worst of the worst," explaining that by forming a "taskforce of the most dangerous people on the planet," the U.S. can basically do whatever it wants to the rest of the world, and blame it on the bad guys -- and essentially leave them to die -- if things go south. "We're the patsies," Will Smith's Deadshot tells the rest of the villains. "We're some kind of Suicide Squad." The trailer is packed with slick shots of the crew defying death (and even battling Batman), sowing chaos and leaving plenty of destruction in their wake. There are firefights, fistfights, car chases, and more -- and then, finally, there's The Joker. Saving the spookiest for last, the clip ends with the introduction of Leto's iconic character, who utters the line, "I'm not gonna kill ya. I'm just gonna hurt ya really, really bad." He bares his silver teeth and stares straight into the camera with his soulless eyes before the screen goes black, leaving plenty of questions -- and plenty of chills -- in his wake. Check out the action-packed trailer below. "Suicide Squad" is due in theaters on August 5, 2016. Comedian Michelle Collins Named New 'The View' Co-Host Posted: After popping up periodically on the program over the past few months, comedian Michelle Collins has now nabbed a permanent place at "The View." ABC and the show announced on Monday that Collins was officially named the 15th co-host in the show's history, and will join the cast as a permanent member beginning during "The View"'s 19th season, which starts in September. Collins will still appear on the program for the rest of its summer run, before "The View" starts its hiatus in August. "We've had so much fun hanging out with this young lady," Whoopi Goldberg said on Monday's show, calling Collins "amazing and very, very funny." Collins, who was greeted with a shower of confetti and thunderous applause from the crowd, said she was "so excited" for the opportunity, and praised her co-hosts Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, Rosie Perez, and Raven-Symoné. "I feel so lucky that I get to come here and spend this time with you," Collins told her tablemates, adding that everyone involved with the show, from the cast to the crew, was "unbelievable" and "so welcoming and wonderful and kind to me." In a press release, "The View" creator and executive producer Barbara Walters praised the comedienne, noting that Collins "brings a fantastic energy and keen sense of humor to the program." "Michelle can be both outrageous and thoughtful," Walters continued. "She is a welcome addition to 'The View' panel with her intelligence, quick wit and vast knowledge of pop culture." Collins has been a television staple over the years, most recently hosting VH1's "Walk of Shame Shuttle," as well as appearing on "The Gossip Queens," "Big Morning Buzz Live," "Chelsea Lately," "Today," "The Wendy Williams Show," "The Tyra Banks Show," and "Kathy." She previously spent six years as managing editor of VH1's Best Week Ever (full disclosure: I absolutely adored that blog, and everything Michelle did on it; she's also hilarious on Twitter). It remains to be seen what other changes "The View" has in store. Co-host Perez is leaving the show soon; Wallace's future on the syndicated series is also up in the air.

John C. Reilly Confirms 'Wreck-It Ralph 2' Posted: Talk of a sequel to 2012 animated hit "Wreck-It Ralph" has been ongoing for years, but now, titular star John C. Reilly has confirmed that the film will indeed happen. Reilly reportedly revealed the news during a recent interview with Irish radio program RTE Arena, a scoop that was shared by the show's producer, Penny Hart, on Twitter. "John C Reilly announced at the interview today that he has signed on for Wreck it Ralph 2!" Hart wrote. That's great news for fans of the clever flick, which centered around video game character Ralph (Reilly), who wanted to transform from a villain into a hero. The Oscar-nominated film featured lots of winking references to beloved video games including Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. (Mario himself is never featured, though Bowser shows up to a villains support group), as well as sending up newer sensations like Candy Crush (the world of Sugar Rush, where Sarah Silverman's character Vanellope lives). Way back in 2012, Silverman, Reilly, and director Rich Moore said that a sequel was a certainty, though nothing ever materialized from those promises. But with Reilly's recent announcement, it seems that work on "Wreck-It Ralph 2" will finally begin. We can't wait to see what's in store for Ralph, Vanellope, and the rest of the crew. Stay tuned. SDCC 2015: Guillermo del Toro Says 'Crimson Peak' Is the Most Terrifying Love Story Ever Made Posted: If director Guillermo del Toro has his way, his new film "Crimson Peak" will make you scream and swoon. The filmmaker brought his new gothic horror thriller, along with stars Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Jessica Chastain, to Comic-Con this past weekend, where he screened intense new footage that reveals "Peak" to be as terrifying as it is romantic. "It's a gothic romance," del Toro told Moviefone Contributing Editor Jessica Wedemeyer in our exclusive interview. "The romance actually starts after [the characters] get married -- at the same time, you're starting to discover the horror." For del Toro, the film is more than a beautiful-looking haunted house movie. It's a love story, with strong thematic ties that play out in the marriage between Edith (Wasikowska) and Thomas (Hiddleston). "It's like any other marriage," del Toro said, "you discover things you don't like and then you discover the things that you really like. At the end of the movie, you [will] have the sense that you have witnessed a very painful, beautiful love story." But the director is quick to stress that fans looking to go home scared sh!@less will also get their money's worth. In fact, he is so excited about "Peak" that it already ranks in the "top three films" that he has ever made. "It's a throwback to lavish, gorgeous productions -- nevertheless, it's gonna have scary, spooky stuff," he said. "It's rooted in great characters and a great story. It's the most beautiful movie I've ever done." Audiences will get to see for themselves when "Crimson Peak" hits theaters Oct. 16 Watch the trailer below. 12 Life Lessons From Cher Horowitz Posted: It's been 20 years and "Clueless" is still one of the most influential teen movies of all time. Watch Daniel Radcliffe's Cheeky Acceptance Speech for 'Rear of the Year' Award Posted: Harry Potter has a nice tush -- and he's flattered that you noticed! Daniel Radcliffe was at San Diego Comic-Con to promote "Victor Frankenstein" -- his upcoming movie with James McAvoy -- but E! News also asked him about his recent win for Rear of the Year. This is a genuine thing with British celebrities. It started in 1976 and was just given to women at first, until going equal opportunity with male and female winners every year. Most of the past winners are probably celebs Americans aren't too familiar with -- but this year DanRad himself was honored for his bum. E! asked if he campaigned for the award. "I've been campaigning for years," Dan joked, then explained a bit about Rear of the Year. "It's a thing we do it in England. You don't do it in America, right? ... I was going to say, if you don't do it here in America, maybe my award counts kind of globally." It does! He seemed genuinely flattered to get the award, and even gave a little acceptance speech: There it is -- on the record. It's coming out more. It's not like he's been shy up to this point, which is probably why he won to begin with, since he showed it all on Broadway in "Equus" and bared his butt in "Kill Your Darlings." But it's great to see him have such a sense of humor about the whole thing. Even when he has a serious role, he never takes himself too seriously. Watch his speech here: And if you're curious about "Victor Frankenstein," Collider has a full recap of what was discussed during the Comic-Con panel. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. 'Once Upon a Time' Spoilers on Merida's Arrival in Season 5 Posted: ABC's "Once Upon a Time" is going to be very "Brave" in Season 5. The cast took to Comic-Con this weekend to talk about the new season -- which starts September 27 -- and there was a sneak peek introducing Merida, who will be played by Scottish lass Amy Mason. Check it out: After the OUAT Comic-Con panel, cast members Colin O'Donoghue, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Emilie de Ravin and Rebecca Mader talked to TVLine about various Season 5 themes -- including Dark Swan and Regina and Emma "flipping" their roles as villain and savior -- and discussed the intro of Merida. TVLine asked the group if they had any idea what would be happening with Merida and who would get to play with her. The cast answered, pretty much in unison, "Someone in this room." Jennifer Morrison finished that with "... interacts with her." Lana Parilla added, "And you'll see her in the first handful of episodes." So we'll see the "Brave" archer in the first few episodes (and possibly more, but it's good to know she'll have an early intro) and she'll interact with a main character. The whole interview is awesome and hilarious. Watch it here: But which character in that room will Merida interact with -- and will it be a friendly interaction or not? Maybe she'll hang out with Snow White, since she too knows her way around a bow and arrow. Comic-Con also featured a chilling "Dark Swan" sneak peek, so don't miss that: You may have also seen the first Dark Swan photos, plus the showrunners summing up Season 5 in one word. Dark Swan. Camelot. Merida. Zelena's baby. Regina as the savior. It's shaping up to be a fascinating season. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. See Lea Michele's Touching Cory Monteith Tribute 2 Years After His Death Posted: Has it really been two years? Sigh. "Glee" star Cory Monteith died July 13, 2013 at age 31. Fans have not forgotten him, and neither has his former co-star and girlfriend, Lea Michele. On the anniversary of his death, Lea posted a photo of Cory -- it almost looks like he's driving off into the sunset -- along with this beautiful note:
So much has happened in the two years since Cory died from a mix of heroin and alcohol. "Glee" ended this past March 2015 after six seasons, with the cast members going in their own directions and Lea now dating Matthew Paetz. Back in March, shortly after honoring what would've been Cory's 33rd birthday, the "Scream Queens" star shared a photo with Matthew and thanked him for bringing happiness into her life and "making me smile again." Behold Epic 'Superhero Selfies' With 'X-Men,' 'Gambit,' 'Deadpool' Casts Posted: While David Ayer was mocking Marvel over at DC Comics' "Suicide Squad" Comic-Con panel, the Marvel team took some epic shots of their own at the 20th Century Fox talk. Check out Chris Hardwick's photo with the great Stan Lee himself, backed by some familiar faces like Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and more. As Chris noted: "Panel 10 - Hall H, @20thCenturyFoxPanel - I mean this HAS to be some kind of damn record. Most superheroes in one selfie? Casts of Wolverine, X-Men, Deadpool, Gambit, and Fantastic Four PLUS the Generalissimo!!!" You can quibble over whether this is really "selfie" or just a group photo but here's the shot: Channing Tatum tweeted his own version of the group photo, sharing his excitement to join the team as Gambit: And here's arguably the best shot, from 20th Century Fox: So much awesome in one place. Sigh. FYI, io9 live-blogged the Fox panel if you want a play-by-play with screencaps, including lots of "X-Men Apocalypse" talk. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. 'Suicide Squad' Trailer: Joker, Harley Quinn Get Biggest Comic-Con Reaction Posted: UPDATE: Warner Bros. has released a high-quality version of the "Suicide Squad" Comic-Con trailer, which can be viewed right here: PREVIOUSLY... "Suicide Squad" is still filming in Toronto, but director David Ayer and cast showed up at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 to promise fans a great movie and show the first big trailer. And of course that trailer was immediately leaked online. Watch the video below to see David Ayer basically do some D.C. vs. Marvel stand-up for the crowd, then introduce cast members Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), and Will Smith (Deadshot). Will Smith ends the video by saying, "This group right here, we are banging out something that is absolutely fantastic and stunning. And this guy right here, David Ayer, is the absolute truth, he is making something you are going to love." David Ayer joked about the leaked set photos from their time filming on the streets, saying people had been shooting some footage with their iPhones, so here's a little something he found online. Cue the trailer. And cue the bootleg version. Here's a fan-shot video over here -- and you can hear the crowd definitely sharing the strongest reactions for all the shots of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and (especially) the few end-of-trailer glimpses of Jared Leto's Joker. It does seem like the Joker is being positioned as the real star of this movie, in part because of how secretive they've tried to be about him. Jared was not at Comic-Con and his character only appears at the end like a special treat. "Suicide Squad" is set for release August 5, 2016. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. 'Deadpool' Trailer Gets Encore at Comic-Con, Then Leaked Online Posted: Comic-Con audiences tend to gush over everything, but they REALLY loved the new "Deadpool" trailer. Fans have been promised "a hard R" from the Ryan Reynolds superhero movie, and the trailer features plenty of dirty language, a sex scene, action sequences, an avocado reference and ... "Shoop." Yes. According to Variety, the trailer is supposed to premiere online this week, but if you can't wait, you can watch a bootleg version shot in the theater and leaked by a fan. The trailer got a standing ovation during the "Deadpool" panel Saturday night, along with chants of "One more time!" So they played it again in an encore. Based on the footage, it looks like the encore version is the one that got leaked. "Deadpool" is scheduled for release February 12, 2016, so there's plenty of time for more footage to drop. 'Minions' Tops 'Toy Story 3' for Second Biggest Animated Opening Ever Posted: Move over, Woody and Buzz, "Minions" is ready to surpass infinity (and beyond!) at the box office. According to Variety, the "Despicable Me" spinoff made $115.2 million in North America over the weekend, which is the second biggest animated film opening in history. That begs the question of who is first, and it's "Shrek the Third" with $121.6 million in 2007. As Entertainment Weekly noted, "Minions" is only the fourth animated movie ever to break $100 million in its opening weekend, and this debut replaces "Toy Story 3" in second place, with $110.3 million, also pushing back "Shrek 2's" $108 million. EW also added this praise: Impressive! It's also impressive to note that "Minions" "only" cost $74 million to produce, which is low compared to the north-of-$100-million budgets from Pixar and DreamWorks Animation. "I'm not sure the public is mindful of what films cost; they're more concerned with how they resonate," Nick Carpou, Universal's domestic distribution chief, told Variety. "Chris [Meledandri] is able to produce films that speak to families, to children, to people everywhere." Are you surprised to see that "Minions" did so well, or are you more surprised that it still didn't top "Shrek the Third"? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. From 'Jurassic World' to 'Minions': Why Universal Owns the Box Office Posted: From rampaging dinosaurs to yellow henchman, Universal Pictures can't be stopped. With "Minions" scoring a $115.2 million opening weekend -- the second highest for an animated film, behind 2007's "Shrek the Third" with $121.6 million -- it's not just another hit for Universal this summer, but for the industry in general. The overall take is keeping up with 2013, the best year to date. It's also part of a stellar year for Universal, which boasted this week that it's reached the $3 billion mark overseas in record time, thanks largely to such hits as "Minions," "Jurassic World," "Pitch Perfect 2," "Furious 7," and "Fifty Shades of Grey." But the big box office of these movies points to a larger issue. All of them, save "Fifty Shades," are spinoffs, sequels, and/or reboots of previously successful films. (And "Fifty Shades," of course, is based on a huge bestseller.) If Universal had a great first six months of the year, it's only because it's managed to execute better than the other studios that strategy of focusing on blockbusters based on familiar brand-name properties. So far, Universal has released 10 movies this year. Most of the success comes from the five movies mentioned above. Out of the studio's $4.6 billion take worldwide from 2015 releases, $4.2 billion, or 92 percent, comes from those five movies. Just $350.1 million comes from the remaining films. What are those other five? There's "Blackhat," a $70 milllion Michael Mann thriller that flopped in January with just $17.3 million worldwide. "The Boy Next Door," the Jennifer Lopez thriller that reportedly cost just $4 million to make but grossed $50.2 million worldwide -- a modest success. There's "Unfriended," a horror film from producer Jason Blum's cheap-scare factory (much like this weekend's "The Gallows"), which cost just $1 million to make but returned $46.7 million worldwide -- making cheap horror the only genre besides franchise entries that offer a huge return on investment (as a percentage, but not in absolute dollars). And then there was "Seventh Son," a $95-million attempt to launch a young-adult fantasy franchise that bombed big. It earned back just $110.6 million worldwide, which means the movie lost money (once you add in distribution and marketing costs). Finally, there's "Ted 2," with a reported budget between $68 and $85 million. So far, it's made $124.8 million in three weeks, about 22 percent less than the first "Ted" made at the same point in its run. Given its higher budget ("Ted" cost $50 million), the talking-bear sequel has to be considered a stiff disappointment. So that's two costly franchise failures -- plus one bargain-priced horror hit, one similarly cheap original thriller hit, and one expensive original thriller flop -- against five overwhelmingly successful franchise installments. From a strict accounting standpoint, it's hard to argue against that strategy. Even the two expensive franchise flops were good gambles (well, at least one of them was; which studio wouldn't have greenlit "Ted 2"?) whose losses were more than offset by the hits. And the other studios are behaving largely the same way. Disney is now little more than Marvel, Pixar, "Star Wars," and live-action remakes of its cartoon hits. It's one big gamble on an original premise this year, "Tomorrowland," didn't pay off. Highlights of Paramount's slate so far this year include the "SpongeBob" sequel and "Terminator Genisys," still struggling in its second week but also the studio's second-highest grossing film of the year so far. Coming later this month is the studio's fifth "Mission: Impossible" film. Fox's big hits so far this year have been franchise launchers "Home" and "KIngsman: The Secret Service," along with Melissa McCarthy comedy "Spy" and action sequel "Taken 3." Coming soon are "Fantastic Four" (reboot of a franchise that's only a decade old), "Hitman: Agent 47" (a reboot of a fairly recent video game-inspired film), a "Maze Runner" sequel, a "Frankenstein" movie, and the latest animated films from the "Peanuts" gang and Alvin and the Chipmunks. Sony has barely made a ripple this year; it's biggest hits have been the "Paul Blart" sequel and the Kevin Hart comedy "The Wedding Ringer." Its big original movies -- Hugh Jackman sci-fi tale "Chappie" and Cameron Crowe romance "Aloha" -- went nowhere. Its upcoming films include two Adam Sandler projects ("Pixels" and animated sequel "Hotel Transylvania 2") and the launch of a franchise based on the "Goosebumps" kiddie-horror books. Warner Bros., typically the most franchise-minded studio, gave us new installments of "Mad Max" and "Magic Mike," as well as the big-screen version of "Entourage." "Mad Max: Fury Road" aside, however, none of these movies performed as well as the studio's non-franchise films, including: Oscar-nominated war drama "American Sniper," Dwayne Johnson action film "San Andreas," and Will Ferrell-Kevin Hart comedy "Get Hard." Another attempt at launching a franchise, the Wachowskis' "Jupiter Ascending," was a planet-sized flop. Due by the end of the year, the relaunch of the "Vacation" franchise after 18 years, the big-screen version of 1960s TV spy series "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," and a remake of 1991's action thriller "Point Break." Even though Warners' seems to have done better this year with non-franchise movies than with reboots and sequels, don't expect its strategy to change -- and don't expect the others to change either. Yes, horror movies, comedies, and mid-budget dramas and thrillers are a lot cheaper to make than big action spectacles, but every studio would rather have the next "Jurassic World" than the next "Unfriended" because the rewards are so much greater. Hollywood still has to take the occasional risk on originality -- after all, "Minions" is the stepchild of "Despicable Me," a thoroughly original animated feature. But originality seems like little more than a means to an end: a repeatable success. The result may make critics despair and doesn't always please moviegoers either, but it makes studio executives and accountants rub their hands together with glee like Gru or Scarlett Overkill. By the way, "Despicable Me 3" is coming in 2017. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
6 Times Harrison Ford Kicked All the Ass Posted: Whether he's punching Nazis, shooting Stormtroopers or kicking terrorists off 747's, Harrison Ford is always ready to kick ass on the big screen. Even though Ford is getting up there in years, he has carved out considerable care space in the hearts of movie fans. And he's gearing up for a mini-action hero comeback, reprising his role as Han Solo in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" this December, as well as that of Deckard in a "Blade Runner" sequel. In honor of his birthday on July 13, here are six of our favorite scenes where Ford action hero'd his way out of trouble. 6. Bus Crash From "The Fugitive" (1993) Most action heroes would call it a day after making a death-defying leap from a bus -- just a split-second before it was smushed by an oncoming train. But for Ford's Dr. Richard Kimble, that was just a prelude to a mad dash as the train careened off course and exploded in a way you just don't see outside of '90s-era suspense thrillers. Plus, Ford's full, bushy beard was the icing on the cake in this scene. 5. The Mine Car Chase From "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984) You might have to watch this scene on mute to offset Kate Capshaw's incessant screaming, but the rollercoaster-esque mine cart chase still remains one of the most exciting scenes in the Indiana Jones franchise. It's little wonder Disney eventually made a theme park ride out of it. 4. President Marshall Vs. Russian Punching Bag in "Air Force One" (1997) We'd all be a lot happier with our various commanders-in-chief if they personally dispatched evildoers out the back of their private jet. Ford shows 'em how it's done, using this Russian terrorist's face as a perfect target to hit with a foot stool. 3. The SUV Ambush From "Clear and Present Danger" (1994) Ford's Jack Ryan and the rest of his CIA motorcade find themselves playing a classic game of "Dodge the RPGs" courtesy of one really pissed-off drug cartel. Ford's slow-mo dive away from the exploding SUV? It turns us into the valets from "Key & Peele." 2. That One Time He Landed a Plane on a Golf Course One of the great things about Harrison Ford is that his Hollywood antics aren't confined to sound stages. He's not afraid to flirt with danger in the real world, too. When his antique PT-22 experienced engine failure, Ford didn't panic. He just Han Solo'd it onto (naturally) a golf course. We like to picture him walking away, dropping a mic, while the plane exploded behind him. 1. The Truck Chase From "Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981) For a guy who's "just making this up as I go," Indiana Jones sure knows how to cut a swath of destruction through a Nazi convoy. The brave archaeologist gets punched, shot and nearly run over as he fights for control of a truck carrying the Ark of the Covenant. And, not once, does he ever lose his hat.
