Posted: 04 Jun 2015 09:30 PM PDT Jurassic World hasn't even opened yet and people are already talking about a sequel. And why not? The fourth film in this ever-beloved franchise is on track to make a ton of money in its opening weekend. Unless the movie is a total critical disaster that everyone hates, a follow-up will happen, even if director Colin Trevorrow won't be around to yell "Action!" and "Cut!" It's inevitable. So that brings us to the question of the moment: where do you go after Jurassic World? After all, they've already upped the ante from "park" to "world," which is one helluva jump. The next step is obvious and natural: it's time to send the dinosaurs to outer space. Okay, this is where I'll get serious. No, I do not think a fifth... Check Out the New 'Scream' Mask and Look at the 5 Different Kinds of Horror Masks Posted: 04 Jun 2015 08:00 PM PDT After years of development, a Scream TV series is finally coming to MTV at the end of this month. But it might not look like the Scream you remember from the movies. The big difference is the mask, which has been changed from the iconic Ghostface, inspired by Edward Munch's painting The Scream, which was used in four installments on the big screen. Here's the new one, via Entertainment Weekly: I would have thought the decision is because of how it's also now associated with the parody version in the Scary Movie series. But no, the producers of the show claim it's just about respecting the original and also not trying to confuse viewers expecting the series to be a straight adaptation. This one also respects horror movie history by being inspired by the masks... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

Stunning 'Macbeth' Trailer Brings Michael Fassbender To The Brink of Madness Posted: 04 Jun 2015 03:00 PM PDT The works of William Shakespeare have long been a proving ground for actors looking to conquer the dark themes and challenging dialogue, but in recent years adapting his plays into movies has turned into a bit of a proving ground for directors as well. There has to be some sort of flair, some sort of hook that brings a fresh take to the 400-year-old material. In Coriolanus, it was Ralph Fiennes bringing the gritty war story into the 21st century. With The Tempest it was Julie Taymor turning the fantasy into a surreal visual feast. And with the upcoming Macbeath, the key for director Justin Kurzel (The Snowtown Murders) seems to be steeping world class actors in a bleak, stunning landscape that looks more like a graphic novel than a stage play. Kurzel's version stars Michael... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
New 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' Trailer Tries To Drown Tom Cruise Posted: 04 Jun 2015 01:30 PM PDT The Mission: Impossible movies are ostensibly about a team of elite special agents who work for the Impossible Missions Force agency to thwart threats to America and its interests worldwide. Funny thing is, though, we're now five movies into the franchise and so far the only missions the IMF ever seem to pull off involve them thwarting people inside the US government who want to shut them down. That seems to also be the plot in this July's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation from Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie, which finds the US once again trying to shut down Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team (Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and now Rebecca Ferguson). CIA honcho Alec Baldwin really wants to do a better job than the last few CIA goons who... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

The movie sees Katniss Everdeen leading a revolution; it opens in theaters on November 20. [Facebook] Fantasia: The "Night on Bald Mountain" segment from Disney's 1940 animated classic Fantasia will be developed into a live-action movie. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who worked on last year's Dracula Untold and the upcoming The Last Witch Hunter, have been hired to write a screenplay. The original segment followed spirits of the dead who are raised to life for a single "night of mayhem." [Heat Vision] Bermuda Triangle: Stiles White and Juliet...
