Elizabeth Banks Wants Some Sugar From Channing Tatum in 'Magic Mike XXL' Clip Posted: The men of "Magic Mike XXL" are ready to show us a little ... um, magic ... but only if they can satisfy Elizabeth Banks. Warner Bros. released a clip from the stripper movie, and sadly, it features nary a shirtless guy. No pelvic thrusts. No body rolls. (Sob!) Instead, the clip is all business, as Mike (Channing Tatum), Big Dick Richie (Joe Manganiello), and crew roll up to a stripping convention run by Banks, hoping to get some showtime. "Are you even in shape?" she wonders, noting Mike's been out of the game for awhile. And do they have the most important thing - an MC? We're always happy to see Banks in anything, and it's fun to see her playing a slightly trashy, bleached blonde. But come on, "Magic Mike XXL," you couldn't throw us an (ab) bone? Just a peek? "Magic Mike XXL" also stars Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, Amber Heard, and Jada Pinkett Smith, and opens in theaters July 1. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. 9 TV Couples That Are Kinda Terrible for Each Other Posted: Some TV couples are just so obviously meant for one another that you immediately start picturing the wedding episode upon viewing their first few moments together. But there are other couples that are just plain wrong. We don't care that they're both ridiculously attractive -- these twosomes either have nothing in common or they just seem to make each other's lives worse. We apologize in advance for murdering any fictional romantic fantasies you're holding onto, but let's be real, these nine TV couples shouldn't have even gotten past a first date. 10 Comedies That You Won't Believe Are Rated 'R' Posted: Sometimes you think you have a grasp on what it takes for a movie to get slapped with an R-rating. But there are some films out there that, after you watch them and do a quick Google search, still make you head scratch. These are the 10 comedies that make us go "huh?" when we realize they're for the 17-and-up crowd. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'That '70s Show' Reunion Alert! Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson Starring in Netflix Sitcom Posted: The cast of "That '70s Show" just can't quit each other. First, Ashton Kutcher married his on-screen love interest, Mila Kunis (after years of being just friend). Now, he's reuniting with Danny Masterson for a new, original Netflix sitcom titled "The Ranch." Deadline reports that the streaming service is close to finalizing a deal for the multi-camera comedy, which comes from "Two and a Half Men" co-showrunners Don Reo and Jim Patterson. That re-teams the duo with Kutcher, who starred on the CBS sitcom in its last four seasons. In "The Ranch," Kutcher's character, a retired semi-pro football player, returns to his titular Colorado home to help his brother (Masterson) run the family business. This is Netflix's second multi-cam sitcom after "Fuller House," the "Full House" sequel. "The Ranch" will also follow a slightly different streaming model than most other Netflix shows: It will release 20 episodes a year, in two batches. Most Netflix shows (comedy or drama) have 13 episodes a year. Not only does this represent a reunion for Kutcher and Masterson, it also puts them in the same Netflix family as another "That '70s Show" star - Laura Prepon of "Orange Is the New Black." So, does this mean we can expect new shows with Topher Grace and Wilmer Valderrama next? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. The Ultimate Summer Road Trip Movie Soundtrack Posted: Nothing says summer and fun times like a good old-fashioned road trip. If you're doing life right, you know that the best part of a road trip is the playlist. Just kidding -- it's the snacks. But let's focus on the music. The perfect playlist can help you appreciate the beauty of a scenic road or make you forget you're driving through a wasteland. You won't even have time to wonder if you're there yet because you'll be trying to sing, dance, and play air guitar between mouthfuls of snacks -- all while seated. (P.S. you sound like a mess. A beautiful mess.) Because we love you, we've assembled the ultimate road trip movie soundtrack, comprised of the 29 best songs from movie soundtracks. Warning: you will "Lose Yourself" in this list. And no, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" that we've started the music puns. So pop open a bag of Bugles, get that car seat in a comfortable position, and prepare your ears for the sweet, sweet sounds of this musical treat we've whipped up for you. Singing along is mandatory. 10 'Game of Thrones' Deaths We're Still Recovering From Posted: If you watch "Game of Thrones," then you know your favorite characters are never safe and could bite the dust at any time. So while we accept that death is coming, we aren't always quite prepared for the way they die. These are the 10 deaths from "Game of Thrones" that scarred us for life. No 'Breaking Bad' Spinoff, But Aaron Paul Does Have a New Show on Hulu Posted: A day after angering the Internet with fake news of a "Breaking Bad" spinoff, Aaron Paul has signed on for an actual, real, new television show on Hulu. Hulu announced that Paul is joining the cast of "The Way," an original drama about the "controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power." The three-time Emmy winner will play a husband and father who comes to the movement after a crisis of faith. His wife will be played by Michelle Monaghan ("True Detective"). "The Way" was created by Jessica Goldberg, and is being executive-produced by Jason Katims ("Parenthood," "Friday Night Lights"). Paul will also serve as a producer of the 10-episode series, which should make a winter debut. This marks Paul's return to a television series after the finale of "Breaking Bad," for which he won three Emmys as a supporting actor. He drove fans crazy with a Periscope video teasing a Jesse Pinkman spinoff - only to admit it was all a prank. He tweeted his apologies: Too cruel, Aaron Paul, too cruel.Want more stuff like this? 13 Perfect 'Murder on the Orient Express' Remake Casting Choices Posted: Have you heard that Kenneth Branagh is in talks to direct a new version of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express," with Ridley Scott producing? Well, he is... and we're pumped! Should these talks pan out, the multi-talented Branagh, hot off the success of Disney's live-action "Cinderella," is expected to assemble an all-star, A-list cast. One of Christie's most famous and beloved tales, "Murder on the Orient Express" follows famous Belgian Detective Hercule Poirot who must single-handedly unravel a mysterious murder aboard the titular train when it's trapped by a snowslide between Istanbul and Paris. Add to that a sea of likely suspects, and you've got the makings of one of the original contained thrillers. We won't spoil the final solution (even though it's about eighty-one-years old; the book was published in 1934, and the Sidney Lumet-directed classic was released in 1974), but it's one of Christie's shocking best. We gotta admit, we love superheroes and dinosaurs, but if Branagh, Scott, and co. sign on an all-star cast with sky-high production values (like those of the Agatha Christie heyday), we'll be first in line for the mystery, glamour, camp, and acting pyrotechnics. With that in mind, we assembled a dream cast for the new "Murder on the Orient Express," listing them alongside their 1974 counterparts -- you know, for comparison's sake. (Take heed Branagh; this is going to be a tough list to live up to.) This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Watch Human Firework Explode in Extreme 'America's Got Talent' Stunt Posted: "America's Got Talent" was on fire Tuesday night, with several auditions held outdoors to showcase major stunts. There was Damone Rippy, the 16-year-old flyboarder who got the girls squealing, the Metal Mulisha freestyle motocross team performing "Kiss of Death," and Wally Glen -- who calls himself Pyro Boy, despite seeming closer to senior citizen than senior in high school. For his act, Pyro Boy covers his body in fireworks, dances around, and explodes on stage. Hearing this, judge Howard Stern announced, "I feel like I've been institutionalized and we're all in one crazy house together, 'cause this sounds nuts to me. I mean, do women get excited by this when they see you covered in fireworks?" Pyro Boy: "They find it hot." Haha. Ba dum dum. But seriously, sometimes they should consider changing the name of the show to "America's Got Issues." Pyro Boy's audition was set to "Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30," aka the music at the start of "2001," then "Ode to Joy" and "God Bless America." They really should've added Katy Perry's "Firework," but maybe they couldn't get the rights. The stunt was staged at night for full effect. It took Pyro Boy a while to get his gear on, leaving the judges time to worry about what might happen -- to themselves, if the sparks came too close. The result was quite a sight, making Pyro Boy look like a psychotic astronaut on fire. It was hard to know whether to be impressed or scared. Howie Mandel was into it. Heidi Klum and Nick Cannon just hid. What do you think? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'The Secret Life of Pets' Trailer (Hilariously) Confirms Our Suspicions Posted: When the cat's away, the mice will play. And when the human's away, the Dachshund will get a massage from the electric mixer, the bird will mess with the remote, and the Poodle will turn off the classical music and headbang to death metal. Yes, pet parents, you suspected as much, and "The Secret Life of Pets" is putting it on screen in a new 3D computer animated feature. This Exclusive 'Hotel Transylvania 2' Trailer Introduces the Newest Little Monster Posted: Three years after "Hotel Transylvania" introduced us to Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) and his monster-only hotel, "The Drac Pack" has returned for more fangtastic shenanigans in "Hotel Transylvania 2." This time, now that Dracula's daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) is married to human Jonathan (Andy Samberg), the hotel has relaxed its monsters-only policy, opening doors to human guests. One new resident is Mavis and Jonathan's half-human/half-vampire son Dennis, shown with his family in the exclusive photo below. Dennis doesn't seem to be showing signs of monster-hood, but Grandpa Drac is determined to bring out the fangs in the little ginger cutie. So while Mavis and Johnny are in California visiting Johnny's parents, Drac enlists his friends and his own grumpy old school dad Vlad (Mel Brooks!) to put Dennis through "monster-in-training" boot camp. Things get "batty" and hilarity definitely ensues, as shown in this new trailer introduced by Fifth Harmony, whose song, "I'm In Love With a Monster," plays a prominent role. The trailer shows that part of Drac's motivation for monster-izing Dennis is to keep Mavis from moving from Hotel Transylvania to the more humanized Cali (with its 48 flavors of Slurpees). The message is about being open-minded to change and accepting people as they are, emphasized with another song in the trailer, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way." It's OK to be human ... even if we're a lot less fun than the monster mash! "Hotel Transylvania 2" opens in theaters on September 25. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. See New 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Scene Teases and Jean Grey on Set Posted: "X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer has been sharing so much cool info from set that he's starting to feel like a friend. One of his recent Instagram posts actually plays like a voice message from a buddy just checking in while working late on the job. Except this buddy is touching base from the "underground mansion hallway" and he's teasing a "secret scene" we won't get to see until the "Days of Future Past" sequel is released on May 27, 2016. Looks good, man! Here's his latest video, which was presented with the caption "Stop motion motion base." Fans shared their own comments, like "Shaken not stirred" and "Hey Bryan what's shakin?" and speculation that maybe it's a Storm scene. And here's Bryan's most recent image, just posted today, featuring Sophie Turner as the young Jean Grey -- but mostly featuring Bryan getting his Robin Hood on, to teach Sophie about bow and arrow use. She learned all about it last week on the "Game of Thrones" finale, believe us! What do you think so far? Any theories about what we're seeing? It'll all make sense next year! 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Finale Sets New Record as Most-Watched Episode Posted: The "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale pretty much broke the Internet, and definitely broke our hearts, and it just broke a record for overall viewers. According to TV by the Numbers, the June 14 Episode 10, "Mother's Mercy" -- which killed off a ton of people and blinded one of our badass BFFs -- had 8.11 million viewers. That makes it the most-watched GOT episode to date. And that was even opposite the NBA Finals Game 5! The Season 5 premiere held the record before this with just barely 8 million viewers. Episode 1, "The Wars to Come," also had a series high 4.2 rating, which is still slightly above "Mother's Mercy's" 4.1 rating. But who really cares about that, since that 18-49 demo is more important to shows that run ads. The bigger number is the overall audience, and with 8.11 million in the U.S., that's the most for HBO's dragon drama so far. For comparison's sake, last year's Season 4 finale, "The Children," nabbed 7.09 million viewers and a 3.8 rating. The most-watched show that season was Episode 7, "Mockingbird," with 7.20 million. In Season 3, the most-watched episode was Episode 6, "The Climb," with 5.50 million viewers. The Season 3 finale, "Mhysa," had 5.39 million viewers and a 2.9 rating. The Season 2 finale, "Valar Morghulis" had its biggest audience to that point with 4.20 million viewers. The year before that, the Season 1 finale, "Fire and Blood," made news with 3.04 million viewers and a 1.4 rating, the best to that point. They knew nothing about how much the show would grow! Since the numbers keep going up each year -- possibly from more people reading the books as well as just starting fresh on the TV series -- and fans have to be curious what happens next for Jon Snow and company, we can only imagine the Season 6 numbers will soar higher than Drogon out of the fighting pits. Let's guess ... 8.50 million for the premiere? Are you surprised that GOT just set a new record for viewers, even after such a polarizing season? Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook. Every Pixar Movie, Ranked From Worst to Best Posted: Is there anything Pixar can't do? Walt Disney's CG-animation power house has flirted with disaster, taking risks in the name of trying something new. But unlike every other production outfit or major Hollywood studio out there, they have more creative hits than misses. As their 15th feature, "Inside Out," arrives in theaters this weekend, we've ranked all of Pixar's films from worst to best. The order may surprise you, but the general vibe shouldn't. (But if you're expecting No. 1 to be "Cars 2," you're some kind of wrong person.) Ranking based on an original list of best Pixar movies compiled by Matt Patches. 'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers on a Few New Characters Posted: Warning: Spoilers ahead from "The Walking Dead" Season 6 and the comic book. This should cheer you up: Four months from now, we'll be watching (and probably loving) "The Walking Dead" Season 6 on AMC. Fans will get a preview of the new season when the first mega-trailer is released, as usual, at Comic-Con next month. That'll only be the awesomest thing to happen all summer. In the meantime, new character intel has been coming out in dribs and drabs -- not like the steady flow of intel on the companion show, "Fear the Walking Dead," which starts in August. We still have to wait for October for Rick Grimes to have a convo with Morgan Jones, but TVLine just shared some interesting new details on two arriving characters: Interesting. Those are the same characters referenced in this full casting notice, posted a little while ago on Spoil the Dead. This was for Season 6, Episode 6, at least to start, and here are the breakdowns: At the time, comic book readers thought Kirk could be a TV version of Dwight, one of The Saviors, a group of bad guys led by Negan, probably the single-most anticipated character in TWD world at the moment. (We'd still put you first, Paul "Jesus" Monroe). Dwight is a major character in the comic and his wife Sherry is more of a minor one. But reading TVLine's description, it doesn't quite fit Dwight and Sherry, and it seems early to introduce them halfway through Season 6. And if they are keeping the names Kirk and Hilda then they may just be brand new characters. But anyway, they still may be Dwight and Hilda. Whoever they are, they are coming. Speaking of new to the show, you probably saw that Corey Hawkins will be playing Heath, a cool character from the "Walking Dead" comics. The original casting notice for that role was posted as "Delvin," to avoid spoilers. With that casting call was also this notice for another character: The name "Tucker" may or may not last, which is not to say this guy is based on a comic book character. As a "guest star" he may not last too long, period. This other character definitely has comic book remix potential. Here's what was posted a while back for "Allison": That sounds like it could be Dr. Denise Cloyd, who has a romantic relationship with Heath in the comic book. Not that they always follow that on TV. As much as it's tempting to look to the comic book for hints on every arriving character, they introduce brand new people (Daryl Dixon) just as often. Are you excited to see these folks, and others, in action when Season 6 arrives? Whatever these people are doing, hopefully they survive The Wolves if/when they attack Alexandria. Posted: If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night. And so it begins -- the serious presidential push, with more and more candidates getting air time on late-night, either in person to mock themselves or to be mocked by the hosts from afar. Republican candidates Jeb Bush and Donald Trump were both featured in (somewhat) amusing political sketches Tuesday night: "The Tonight Show" welcomed Jeb in person, and "The Late Late Show" had a sketch poking fun at Trump's announcement speech. The Donald was not there in the flesh, but it's only a matter of time before the new White House hopeful stumps on late-night himself. Jimmy Fallon revived his "Slow Jam the News" segment, this time with Jeb Bush on backup. Jeb is not exactly a natural comedian with his stiff posture and cue-card-reading stare, but he was game to listen to Jimmy called him a "master debater" (wink wink) and drop a "Fifty Shades of Grey" whip line, then reply with "Jimmy, I think for all Americans when I say, 'Ew.'" Yeah. James Corden also got political on "The Late Late Show" when hosting a show called "Trump Stumpers: The Donald Trump Game Show," quizzing contestants on real Trump quotes from The Donald's classic stump speech. This is great. James Corden wants to be the Grand Marshal of next year's L.A. Pride parade, so he went to the event to ask what he had to do. While there, he was deemed "a bear cub." So he rounded up a bunch of "bears" for a game of "bear guitar" and they went walking around together collecting more bears for their "musical bears" game. "When we lose a bear, she takes a chair!" The winner even got a Build-a-Bear. Bless James. He seemed to have so much genuine fun. James for Grand Marshal! Kathy Griffin, Derek Luke, and the Lone Bellow were guests on "The Late Late Show" and Derek talked about "Empire" love scenes with Taraji P. Henson. Tongue or no tongue? Lea DeLaria of "Orange Is the New Black" is also a jazz singer. She she and Conan O'Brien sang David Bowie's "Fame," and it's pretty darn awesome. Lea loves "Labyrinth" more than anything, since it's a family movie that's really about David Bowie's crotch. So true. That's it's charm. Amanda Seyfried was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and discussed how she jokingly asked to be part of "Ted 2." She said, for tentpole movies, this is as far as she'll go. Actors are all supposed to do things for business reasons and international value, she said, so this is her version of a big summer movie. She did a cameo for the movie "Pan" and had to do some wire work and she hated it, so she wouldn't do stuff like that. Judd Apatow talked to Seth about why he was so critical of Bill Cosby. He got some pushback from that. Jimmy Kimmel has been doing Game Night, but Tuesday night he returned to talking to some non-sports people on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." They showed a clip of Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez in "Lila & Eve," and Viola talked more about that. She also discussed her love for the show "Snapped" about women who have snapped: Adam Scott was on JKL and admitted he invited Mark Hamill to his 9th birthday party. He wrote the "Star Wars" actor a letter and gave it to his mom. He told all his friends to come to his party, because Luke Skywalker might be there. Luke was not there. A while later, Mark was answering fan questions on Twitter and Adam asked the actor why he didn't show up at his birthday party. Adam didn't expect a response, but Mark asked if it was too late to RSVP. Adam was moved by it, and lost his mind. He also lost his mind when he once got a nod from Harrison Ford, aka Han Solo.
