| Kane Kosugi’s ‘Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge’ hits Blu-ray and DVD on August 12, 2014! Posted: 25 May 2014 01:00 AM PDT  "Tekken: Kazuya's Revenge" Teaser Poster THE MOVIE: Kane Kosugi (Choy Lee Fut, Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear) stars in Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge (aka Tekken: A Man Called X), a prequel to 2010′s Tekken. Joining Kosugi is Kelly Wenham (Dying Light), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Tekken), Gary Daniels (Skin Traffik), Biljana Misic (Zigosana), Charlotte Kirk (Non-Stop) and Ron Smoorenburg (Who Am I?). Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge is directed by Wych Kaosayananda (aka Kaos), who is mostly known for 2002′s Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. Like it’s based on the popular Namco fighting game of the same name. Back in 2012, when Tekken: A Man Called X had the working title Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge, THR reported that Prachya Pinkaew (Ong Bak) was attached to direct. Currently, it remains unknown if Pinkaew is still attached. Kosugi is known for 2002′s Muscle Heat (aka Blood Heat), but he’s perhaps best known to North American audiences for being the son of Sho Kosugi, who had a string of successful ninja films for The Cannon Group, including 1983′s Revenge of the Ninja and 1984′s Ninja III: The Domination. Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge will be Kosugi’s first lead role in a Hollywood feature. Updates: There were false reports that the then-titled A Man Called X was NOT a Tekken movie; as it turns out, it was a Tekken movie all along. Producers were forced to plant some backpedaling after the movie was prematurely revealed on the internet. BREAKING NEWS: Tekken: Kazuya’s Revenge is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on August 12, 2014. Keep in mind that the DVD version is Region 3 coded, so you will need a multi-region DVD player to view the movie. Fortunately, the Blu-ray version is coded for region A, so it's good to go on your current North American Blu-ray hardware. In Wong Jing’s The Man From Macau (aka God of Gamblers 4; Casino; or From Vegas To Macau), Chow Yun-fat returns to the character of Ko Chun, a world-famous gambler, so renowned and talented at winning various games of chance, that he is referred to as the God Of Gamblers. Nicholas Tse (New Police Story) and Chapman To (Men Suddenly in Black) co-star. |
