Stallone confirms a PG-13 rating for ‘The Expendables 3′ Posted: 18 May 2014 02:00 AM PDT THE MOVIE: The Expendables 2 earned slightly more money than its predecessor at the global box office, even if it wasn't as successful in America. Sylvester Stallone is currently prepping the third installment of the action-adventure franchise that follows the exploits of Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, and their associates. The Expendables 3 is being directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill). The film is due for release on August 15th 2014. New members are Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, MMA’s Ronda Rousey, Glen Powell and boxing champion Victor Ortiz.
