| ‘War of the Arrows’ director returns with ‘Roaring Currents’ Posted: 10 Jun 2014 06:54 PM PDT  "Roaring Currents" Korean Theatrical Poster Two years ago, Well Go USA released War of the Arrows on Blu-ray and DVD. For fans and critics alike, the film hit the bullseye for its breakneck pace, compelling plot and engrossing battle sequences. Now, the film’s director, Kim Han-Min, is back with another period actioner titled Roaring Currents. According to asianwiki, Roaring Currents depicts the Battle of Myeongryang, which took place October 26, 1597. The battle involved Admiral Yi Sun-Shin (Old Boy and I Saw Devil’s Choi Min-Sik), who had only 12 ships under his command, against the Japanese navy which had over a hundred ships (led by Ryoo Seung-Ryong of The Target). | First footage of Nazi-killin’ Brad Pitt in David Ayer’s ‘Fury’ Posted: 10 Jun 2014 05:00 AM PDT  "Inglourious Basterds" Japanese Theatrical Poster THE MOVIE: David Ayer – the award-winning writer/director of End of Watch and the upcoming Arnold Schwarzenegger flick Sabatoge, is back with another action-thriller, this time it’s tank vs. Nazi film called Fury, which he also wrote. The film stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood. Fury is set to be released on November 14, 2014. According to Deadline, Fury will take place in 1945 as the Nazi regime collapses and the five man crew of an American tank called Fury battles a desperate German army. Ayer says he wants to "bring a fresh execution to the genre. What these men went through is worthy of a complex, honest portrayal. This will have incredible, visceral action and complex rich characters. I plan to bring tank combat to life in a way that lands with a modern audience."
