See What Doomsday Almost Looked Like in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Posted: 04 Apr 2016 09:30 PM PDT They came, they saw... they kicked some apocalyptic butt. But as Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman prepare to move on to the next battle in 2017's Justice League (and the solo Wonder Woman movie that arrives a few months earlier), we've got some extra time to obsess over Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.... ... especially this pretty spectacular concept art featuring alternate versions of the film's other-worldly villain, Doomsday. Artist Vance Kovacs has posted some of his conceptual work on Batman v Superman, which is all Doomsday-centric, revealing a few different looks at the iconic monster and his showdown with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. First, here's what Doomsday looked like in the finished film. Here is a version of... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
'Swiss Army Man' Trailer: The Farting Corpse Movie You've Heard About Is No Joke Posted: 04 Apr 2016 08:00 PM PDT If you haven't heard the buzz about Swiss Army Man, which debuted at Sundance this year to rave reviews, the first half of its new trailer will blow your mind with its baffling premise. It's the sort of bizarre movie that really needs the critics' pull quotes in the second half to assure you that this ludicrous thing is not only real, but it's worth seeing. If you've heard anything about it, you've heard Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse. The trailer confirms that he is indeed a dead body and, yep, that's flatulence coming out of him as soon as he's introduced. The rest, which entails deserted island dweller Paul Dano using Radcliffe's body as both a literal Swiss army knife and a jet ski, among other bizarre scenes, actually makes... Superhero Roundup: 'Doctor Strange' Takes Manhattan, Zack Snyder Talks a Solo 'Batman,' and More Posted: 04 Apr 2016 06:30 PM PDT Spider-Man's New Title: Studios tend to like to keep information regarding their big movies as close to the chest as possible so that when they do finally make something official they can reveal it in the biggest way possible. Occasionally something gets out, though. And we're not talking about in a leaked, you-shouldn't-be-reading-this sense, but studios can only hide things up until a certain point before it becomes a piece of public record. That's the case with internet domain names, and that's why a lot of people are now theorizing the next solo Spider-Man movie will be called Spider-Man: Homecoming. The theorizing isn't too much of a leap, either, considering Sony Pictures has apparently registered the domain name SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com... Movie News: Dave Bautista Hints at 'Blade Runner 2' Role; Cyborg Touted for 'The Flash' Solo Movie Posted: 04 Apr 2016 04:30 PM PDT Blade Runner 2: Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, above) shared a photo via social media that prompted many to conclude that he will be appearing in the sequel to Blade Runner. In the photo, he can be seen with an origami unicorn, very similar to one that appeared in Ridley Scott's 1982 original. Casting is currently ongoing for the sequel, with production expected to get underway in July, targeting a release date of January 12, 2018. [Collider] I can't wait to share some really exciting news... pic.twitter.com/fI2VjDjcXM — Dave Bautista (@DaveBautista) April 2, 2016 The Flash: Speaking about future movies based on DC comic books, producer Deborah Snyder (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) stated: "When we get to the Flash movie, Ezra... 'Gods of Egypt' Gets a Moody New Trailer for Blu-ray Release (Exclusive) Posted: 04 Apr 2016 03:00 PM PDT The slow, soulful female vocalist has become a bit of a staple for movie trailers these days. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. One movie it works surprisingly well for, though, is Gods of Egypt. Summit Entertainment has cut a new trailer for the movie's home video release and we can't help but think this should have actually been the theatrical trailer. The fantasy epic directed by Alex Proyas (Dark City, I, Robot) hits Digital HD on May 17th and then will be followed by a physical release including a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, a 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and DVD on May 31, 2016. The various Blu-rays and Digital HD releases also come with the following special features: - Deleted Storyboards - “A Divine Vision: Creating a Cinematic Action... Your Best Look at the New Women of 'Baywatch' Posted: 04 Apr 2016 01:30 PM PDT For all the heroic and dramatic stories that the original Baywatch television series told, what most people remember are the very fit cast members running in slow motion on the beach. The upcoming movie version is definitely not shying away from that reputation, as evidenced by the photos that been released via the social media accounts of the new cast members. In the latest example, Alexandra Daddario shared a photo via Instagram of herself with costars Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera in their work attire, along with the caption: "Love working with these incredible ladies. We can save you, we can drink with you and we've been told we're not too hard on the eyes. Welcome to our beach!" (See the full-length photo below.) The photo follows on one...
