It looks that way in retrospect looking at this sneak preview of the season's offerings of 33 years ago, but let's remember that a lot of these releases, such as Blade Runner and Tron were box office disappointments.   Vintage Image of the Day: Garrett Morris as Ant-Man in a Saturday Night LIve sketch beside Dan Aykroyd as The Flash. It's because of this sketch (watch it here) that Morris got a cameo in the new Ant-Man movie.    Easter Eggs of the Day: In addition to the Garrett Morris cameo in Ant-Man, Mr. Sunday Movies humorously points out all the Marvel, Disney and...

Move Over 'Sharknado,' the Backstreet Boys and 'NSync Are Making a Zombie Apocalypse Movie

Posted: 20 Jul 2015 08:15 PM PDT

It has never been easier to be a bad movie and still have people excited to watch you. The Asylum has perfected this business model, churning out no-budget hits again and again, with the Sharknado franchise being a jewel in their poorly rendered CGI crown. One of Horner's final completed scores was for Antoine Fuqua's boxing drama Southpaw, which hits theaters this week. It may not actually be his last, though. Horner had already committed to doing the score for Fuqua's next movie, the currently-filming remake of The Magnificent Seven. Apparently Fuqua got an emotional surprise recently when it was revealed that Horner, fueled by inspiration after reading the script, had secretly written the score before his fatal crash. Speaking to NPR [via JamesHorner-FilmMusic.com], Fuqua broke the news during an emotional segment when talking about...

Here is the latest update on all you need to know regarding that galaxy far, far away:   Luke Skywalker Approves of Amy Schumer Trainwreck star Amy Schumer appears in a Star Wars-inspired photo spread for GQ magazine this month, and some of the photos are a lot more sexual than you'd expect to see C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca and a lightsaber involved in. It should be obvious to everyone that Disney and Lucasfilm had nothing to do with the parodic images, but the latter had to make an official statement (and tweet) to assure fans they didn't "authorize/approve, participate or condone the...
