Passengers should be on your radar. After years of development and false starts, one of the most acclaimed science fiction screenplays of the past decade finally appears to have locked down a director and a cast. And you should get excited -- it's not every day that a project like this nabs two huge movie stars and a very interesting director. Passengers still doesn't have a release date, but since it's expected to open next year, it's time to make sure this movie is on your radar. Here's why you should be very interested in this project.   The screenplay absolutely rocks If you know anyone who works in the film industry (or happen to have an internet connection), it's been hard to not hear about the Passengers screenplay...

The 'Kick-Ass' Franchise May Add a Prequel and Sequel -- Here's What You Need to Know

Posted: 18 Jun 2015 06:07 PM PDT

If you were disappointed by Kick-Ass 2, the future of the franchise is answering to your interests. That is, if your interests include origin stories and going backwards and then later moving forwards again. Any questions? Yes? Okay, we'll try to answer as best we can: Will there be a Kick-Ass 3? While promoting the home video release of Kingsman: The Secret Service, original Kick-Ass writer/director and sequel producer Matthew Vaughn told Yahoo! Movies that he's "not happily done with the franchise" and would like to continue. But before he can do Kick-Ass 3, he has to do a prequel, "to regain the love that we had with Kick-Ass."   But who wants to see a movie about Kick-Ass before he became Kick-Ass? The prequel wouldn't focus on...

'Sicario' Trailer: Emily Blunt and the Director of 'Prisoners' Get Caught in the Mexican Drug War

Posted: 18 Jun 2015 04:30 PM PDT

We assume Sicario is already on your radar because we also assume you remember it being on our list of 2015 Movies That Need to Be on Your Radar. If, however, it isn't, we're guessing it will be after watching the first trailer for it, which just hit online. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Enemy, and the upcoming Blade Runner sequel), Sicario stars the always impressive Emily Blunt as a rising FBI agent who is sent to Mexico to help the CIA take down a drug cartel. As is often the case with trying to topple drug-fueled empires, things don't go so well, and our bushy tailed agent finds herself caught up in a war that seems to have enemies on all sides. Sicario also stars Josh Brolin, Benecio Del Toro, Victor Garber, and Jon Bernthal. It hits...

Inside and Out: A Brief History of Movies That Go Inside the Nightmare That Is the Human Body

Posted: 18 Jun 2015 03:00 PM PDT

In Pixar's Inside Out, the human mind is transformed into a complex location inhabited by employees, each of them tasked with keeping the memories and consciousness of the person they're inhabiting functioning appropriately. It's a fantastical vision of how we tick -- abstract for sure, but totally relatable. Of course there is an organized structure deep inside our brain that keeps us in check. Of course messy things like emotions can be personified! Like so many Pixar productions, Inside Out doesn't hold back its dramatic punches, but it does present the brain as a "control room" where order is established and everything is under control. Until it isn't. And that's where Inside Out joins the vast majority of movies about the human body. At...

Watch Arnold Schwarzenegger Prank People as The Terminator

Posted: 18 Jun 2015 01:30 PM PDT

What happens when you get Arnold Schwarzenegger suited up as a battle-scarred T-800 and unleash him upon a crowd of unsuspecting Hollywood tourists?  Well... you get magic. As evidenced by the video below, put together by Arnold to benefit after school programs. He's offering one person the chance to join him at the premiere of Terminator Genisys, and in doing so decided to prank folks in a wax museum and mingle amongst Hollywood's costumed performers. Check it out...   We're absolutely loving the "I'll be back" quote-down that goes on between Arnold and another guy dressed as the Terminator, but our favorite part might be the couple seconds we see of Arnold in the makeup chair, humming the Terminator score as if using it to get into...
