Sequel Round-up: 'Ultron' Won't Have a Post-Credits Scene, 'Tron 3' Brings Back Olivia Wilde, and More

Posted: 07 Apr 2015 08:30 PM PDT

Age of Ultron Won't Have a Post-Credits Scene Fans have grown accustomed to waiting around through what seems like miles and miles of credits on a Marvel movie (turns out it takes a lot of people to make those movies) in order to get a post-credits stinger. And those fans who love those extra scenes are going to be severely disappointed by Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Joss Whedon has already been telling press that there definitely won't be a post-credits scene on the movie. And he's not being coy either, and trying to set up a surprise. He insists there's nothing there. Not all is lost, though. There will be a mid-credits scene that pops up after the initial round of animated credits. But while some past Marvel movies have had both mid-credits and...

Watch the Vin Diesel-Directed 'Fast and Furious' Movie That Sets Up a 'Furious 7' Scene

Posted: 07 Apr 2015 07:12 PM PDT

Did you know there are nine Fast and Furious movies? Yes, the latest is titled Furious 7, so we can see where that might be confusing, but in addition to the theatrical features there are two shorts. One of them is titled Turbo-Charged Prelude and bridges the first and second movies. The other is Los Bandoleros, which is set just before the events of the fourth movie, Fast & Furious. Chronologically, though, it's sort of a bridge between the first movie and the fourth. Are you still with me? The 18-minute film (which is also sometimes labeled Fast & Furious 3.5: Los Bandoleros and has been previously available as a bonus feature on the Fast & Furious DVD) brings together the new crew of Dom (Vin Diesel), Han (Sung Kang), Rico (Don Omar), Cara...

See the Original Millennium Falcon in New Video from 'Star Wars: The Digital Collection'

Posted: 07 Apr 2015 05:30 PM PDT

News broke this week that all six Star Wars movies were heading to digital HD for the first time in a new collection to be released on April 10. Not only will you get shiny new digital versions of the existing Star Wars movies, but the collection will also come chock-full of all kinds of special features, many of which we've never seen below. Like nerdy conversations between those who brought Star Wars to life. Here's a little tease (via USA Today) of a chat between set decorator Roger Christian and visual effects designer Joe Johnston on the origins of the iconic Millennium Falcon. Hardcore Star Wars fans may already be familiar with the info nuggets both Christian and Johnston drop in the video above -- most notably that the Rebel Blockade Runner (pictured above...

Confirmed: 'Captain America: Civil War' Directors Will Take Over the 'Avengers' From Joss Whedon

Posted: 07 Apr 2015 04:36 PM PDT

UPDATE: Marvel has officially confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo will indeed direct the two-part Avengers: Infinity War movie, due out in 2018 and 2019. Even just five years ago, Anthony and Joe Russo were carving out a pretty healthy career as directors on doomed TV shows like Carpoolers, Running Wilde, and Animal Practice, about a veterinarian whose best friend is a monkey. Of course, they did also work on good shows like Arrested Development, Happy Endings, and Community, but the point is they were just small screen guys doing simple sitcoms with small casts and zero special effects. So, naturally, they're the guys who will be directing both parts of another series that has small casts and zero special effects, The Avengers: Infinity War - Parts 1 and 2. Badass...
