'Paddington' Producer David Heyman Talks Going From Studio Rejection to a Possible 'Paddington 2'

Posted: 27 Apr 2015 09:00 PM PDT

When Paddington hit theaters earlier this year, Movies.com sat down with producer David Heyman?, best known for producing the entire Harry Potter series, to talk about his wonderful movie. But you know what? The movie is indeed so darn wonderful, we' chatted with Heyman a second time for this week's Blu-ray, DVD, and DigitalHD release. Directed by Paul King (The Mighty Boosh), Paddington is a tremendous family film that can easily be appreciated by anyone, young or old. It may star a CGI animated bear, but this isn't your run of the mill movie that's churned out to keep kids entertained for 90 minutes. It's a loving, funny, tender, artful film that has a lot of lessons to teach kids and adults alike. It's also a surprisingly topical film about...

'Descendants' Trailer: What If Disney Villains All Had Kids?

Posted: 27 Apr 2015 07:30 PM PDT

What if all of the biggest villains from classic Disney animated movies had children? And what if all of those kids ended up getting sent off to school together? That's the premise of Descendants, the Disney Channel's newest bet at a small screen franchise. It will probably be immediately obvious as soon as you press play on the below trailer, but Descendants will not be appearing on a big screen near you. Instead it will be making its premiere on the Disney Channel later this summer. And that's fine, because this looks like it fits right in with the Disney Channel Original Movies like Halloweentown, High School Musical, and Phantom of the Megaplex. And that may sound like we're knocking those movies, but if you think that's the case, then you haven't...

Watch Two Sequels Become One Movie in 'Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2' Trailer

Posted: 27 Apr 2015 05:30 PM PDT

The inevitable next step in Hollywood trends is for major franchise crossovers. We're almost there already with shared-universe mega-franchises from Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment. Avengers: Age of Ultron is basically a collective sequel for the separate Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor movie series, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is technically Man of Steel 2, but also sort of a prequel to a planned solo series for the characters Wonder Woman and Aquaman, as well as to the crossover Justice League movies. There's also been talk of 23 Jump Street possibly being the same movie as Men In Black IV.  And now it's time for Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2. Watch the preview below. Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2 with Sean Combs and...

The 5 Best Moments from the 'Goodfellas' Anniversary Reunion Screening

Posted: 27 Apr 2015 04:00 PM PDT

One look around New York's Beacon Theatre this past Saturday night told you it wasn't just another night at the Beacon. To close the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, much of the cast and crew of Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas reunited for a remastered screening of the film followed by a Q&A (hosted by The Daily Show's Jon Stewart) featuring Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Lorraine Bracco, Paul Sorvino and screenwriter Nick Pileggi.  The Beacon was packed with fictional big-screen wiseguys, many of whom played a role in Goodfellas, as well as The Sopranos and other mob-related movies and TV shows that have filmed in New York over the years. The room was buzzing, and when Robert De Niro (who played wiseguy Jimmy Conway in the Scorsese classic...

See Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Posted: 27 Apr 2015 02:15 PM PDT

To celebrate the first official day on set filming X-Men: Apocalypse, director Bryan Singer has released this first look at the new Nightcrawler, played by Kodi Smit-McPhee, via Instagram, which has since been taken down and replaced with the cleaner reveal seen up top. Last time we saw Nightcrawler (no relation to the recent Jake Gyllenhaal movie) in an X-Men film, it was X2 and the shape-shifting mutant was played by Alan Cumming.  See him in action below in one of our favorite scenes from the film, featuring Nightcrawler storming the White House. X-Men Apocalypse, which will also feature X-Men newcomers like Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Ben Hardy (Angel) and Alexandra Shipp (Storm) -- in...
