Marvel Studios Countdown: Who Enters 'Age of Ultron' the Most Changed??

Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:30 PM PDT

A lot has happened in the three years between Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. SHIELD has gone down in flames and Nick Fury has gone into hiding, leaving the Avengers, if they exist as a unit at all, as freelancers in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of the team have gone through profound changes since we last saw them in an Avengers film, so let’s recap before Ultron comes along and throws them into disarray all over again. We’ll rate their changes on a 1-to-10 scale, starting with the least changed and working up to the most changed.   Hawkeye We really have no idea what Hawkeye’s been doing from the time he rides away at the end of Avengers up until Age of Ultron. His status with SHIELD may have been called into question even...

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Promises the Coolest Toy for Breakout Star BB-8

Posted: 20 Apr 2015 06:10 PM PDT

It's no secret that the first breakout star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a little droid named BB-8. Like R2D2 from the Star Wars movies and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels, BB-8 is the latest adorable droid to make a splash in the Star Wars universe, and based on just two brief teaser trailers, the tiny rolling droid -- who looks to be made up of one big ball and a half-ball -- has quickly become one of this year's most popular movie characters. (We're sensing a real Rocket Raccoon and Groot vibe here.) One of the coolest things we've learned about BB-8 -- other than the fact that the droid belongs to Daisy Ridley's character in the movie -- is that BB-8 is all practical and not digital, meaning they actually built the little dude (or dudette...

Has George Lucas Watched the New 'Star Wars' Trailer? Here's Your Answer

Posted: 20 Apr 2015 04:30 PM PDT

Kind of. During a recent conversation at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival between Stephen Colbert and George Lucas, an audience member asked the Star Wars creator whether he's seen the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer that premiered online late last week. Lucas's response: "I've seen the first one [that was released in December]. I just saw what was on CBS, but I'm going to try to look at it. I want to see it on the big screen. I hope it's successful. I hope they do a good job." Lucas's reaction is similar to the one he had after watching the first teaser, in that he's sort of aloof about it all. There were multiple times during his chat with Colbert where he mentioned that J.J. Abrams and co. decided not to go with his original...

The Latest 'Jurassic World' Trailer Is Chaotic and Awesome

Posted: 20 Apr 2015 02:47 PM PDT

In Jurassic Park, a genius billionaire finds a way to bring dinosaurs back to life and builds a tourist attraction to house them. He invites a handful of people to come preview the attraction, and they quickly come to the conclusion that bringing back dinosaurs for the purposes of entertainment is a fundamentally bad idea. In Jurassic World, however, everyone has gotten past the basics that cloning dinosaurs is a bad idea. A group of billionaires has built a whole new park, vastly more ambitious and technologically complex than what John Hammond was trying to do. But it's just not enough to keep the masses entertained any more. And so they do the only logical thing: engineer their own megadinosaur. You can probably guess things once again get out of hand, but as you...

That changes today with a new full trailer that completely puts its newly transformed heroes in the spotlight. The Invisible Woman (Kate Mara) will turn invisible, The Thing (Jamie Bell) will emerge like some kind of human thing, the Human Torch (Michael B. Jordan) will turn into a human torch, and Mr. Fantastic (Miles Teller) will, uh, stretch a bit. But wait, that's not all! Not only does this new trailer give us a glimpse at the saviors of mankind, but it also shows us its potential destroyer, Dr. Doom (Toby Kebbell). There are a lot of firsts on display this time around, so give it a look. If you like what you see - this definitely isn't the...
