See Jared Leto's Joker In First Crazy Image from 'Suicide Squad'

Posted: 25 Apr 2015 03:17 AM PDT

Suicide Squad direcor David Ayer has revealed this maniacal first look at Jared Leto's Joker, and the guy just looks nuts.    The Suicide Squad wishes you a Happy Anniversary Mr. J! #Joker75 #SuicideSquad @WarnerBrosEnt @DCComics pic.twitter.com/LZXz0x947Q — David Ayer (@DavidAyerMovies) April 25, 2015 But a familiar kind of nuts, with the pic giving off a sort of cracked-out throwback to that image from the 1988 graphic novel The Killng Joke.   In The Killing Jake, the Joker is a failed stand-up comedian who runs with the wrong crowd and winds up disfigured after a battle with Batman; chemicals scarring his skin, permanently turning him loony. If that's the version we see in the movie, then know he's definitely not as suave as...

Watch: Animated Sequences Cut From 'Tomorrowland' Introduce the Movie's World

Posted: 24 Apr 2015 07:00 PM PDT

Brad Bird got his start in animation, so it would be totally appropriate for him to include animation in his live-action work. Unfortunately, we never got to see a cartoon Tom Cruise running around in a special sequence of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. And also unfortunately, we won't get to see animated sequences produced for his latest, Tomorrowland, as part of the movie. But we do at least get to see those sequences by themselves, online. These little animated shorts now function as a two-part backstory prequel laying out some alternate history informing the plot of the upcoming feature, which is inspired by the same-named section of Disney's theme parks. Here we learn that Jules Verne, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla and Gustave Eiffel came together as a kind of...

Daniel Radcliffe Is Igor In the First Images from 'Victor Frankenstein'

Posted: 24 Apr 2015 03:30 PM PDT

The story of Frankenstein, the mad scientist who creates new life out of the reanimated parts of dead people, has been told so many different ways that it feels like a story as old as time. In reality, Mary Shelley's story is a rather young 197 (for comparison, Romeo and Juliet is 427 years old), but it's been approximately 8 minutes since we've seen a new version of it, so we're due for an updating. The latest version is titled Victor Frankenstein, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's all about him. The twist here is that it's primarily about the relationship between the mad doctor and his assistant Igor, played by James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe respectively. And today we've gotten our first look at the pair in their period piece...

Watch: The Director of 'Paranormal Activity''s Long-Hidden 'Area 51' Movie Finally Has a Trailer

Posted: 24 Apr 2015 01:30 PM PDT

Hot off the success of Paranormal Activity, but before that innovative horror movie would spawn its own franchise and countless knockoffs, writer-director Oren Peli made another movie that used found footage and a cast of unknowns to put a new spin on an old source of scares. It was called Area 51, and nobody has seen a thing from it since people first learned Peli was making it way back in 2009. So where has it been for six years? According to a few sources, Peli has been tinkering with it here and there, along with his Paranormal Activity producer Jason Blum. Normally such a long delay between filming and eventual release isn't a good sign, but we'll soon finally find out if Peli is the real deal or a one hit wonder, as Area 51 (his only other movie as a director) is about...
