New 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Clip Is Like Something Out of a Dream Posted: 01 Dec 2015 12:16 AM PST This week we'll be getting a brand new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (December 2nd at 11:35 PM EST, to be precise), and to announce it we got a new clip from the Zack Snyder directed movie. This isn't one of those 4 second teasers that has ten thousand indecipherable clips crammed into it, either. No, this clip is a single, tantalizing moment. It's only 49 seconds long, and we're quite sure it'll be even longer in the actual movie, but it's intense even at that length. If anything, this clip is a little too good to be true. It looks like it could be from a dream sequence. Either that or Batman has done something to seriously, seriously piss off Superman. If you thought the man from Krypton looked angry at the end of Man of Steel, he... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |

Marvel Studios Countdown: 'Jessica Jones' Brings Marvel Comic's B-Listers to the A-List Posted: 30 Nov 2015 10:00 PM PST We are two shows in and it’s safe to say that the Marvel Netflix shows have been a boon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, we’ve gotten a couple of Marvel’s best live-action villains out of the deal - Vincent D’Onofrio as the “Kingpin” Wilson Fisk and David Tennant as comics’ “Purple Man” aka Killgrave - but we’ve also really opened the doors to what a live-action Marvel adaptation can be. Daredevil was character-driven and violent; Jessica Jones is a complicated, sexual take on people with powers. They don’t feel like the Marvel Studios movies at all, and thankfully, they don’t have to. Whereas most of the characters Marvel has headlined in films have been around for decades, Jessica Jones marks the... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Meet the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Character With the Most Heartwarming Backstory Posted: 30 Nov 2015 09:00 PM PST When fans pack into theaters next month for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, they'll be looking over every inch of the movie for Easter eggs. One of them has already been revealed, in part because it concerns a very heartwarming story. We're not sure where to find her in the movie, but an R2-series astromech droid with pink coloring instead of R2-D2's blue will appear on screen at some point. Her name (yes, she's programmed as female gender) is R2-KT, and she was originally designed as a life-size companion for a little girl diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Katie Johnson passed away 10 years ago, but before she did, her father, Albin Johnson, commissioned the R2-KT droid special for her. Albin is well-known to many Star Wars geeks as the creator of... From 'Taken' to 'Fatal Attraction,' What You Need to Know About the Movies Becoming TV Shows Posted: 30 Nov 2015 06:00 PM PST With news this week that another Tremors TV series is on the way and with the FX drama based on Fargo being such a hit that a third season has just been confirmed, we thought it was a good time to look at how many more shows adapted from movies are currently in development and possibly on their way to network broadcast or streaming service. Fortunately, Den of Geek has already compiled a great list of 42 in the works for us to go by. What are the biggest movies being turned into TV shows? After three Taken movies, the Liam Neeson-led franchise is moving to the small screen for a prequel series. Rush Hour is also headed to TV following three successful movies. There's also the beloved romance flick The Notebook, the classic paranormal romance flick... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Watch: Go Behind the Scenes of 'Anomalisa,' the Year's Best Animated Movie for Adults Posted: 30 Nov 2015 04:30 PM PST Debuting to great buzz at the Telluride Film Festival in September, followed by critical acclaim at the Toronto fest, Anomalisa is heading to select theaters on December 30. Its official plot description may sound rather ordinary: "An inspirational speaker (David Thewlis) becomes reinvigorated after meeting a lively woman (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who shakes up his mundane existence." So what is it that makes Anomalisa unique? First, it's a stop-motion animated film that's intended for adults, rather than children. (It's rated R "for strong sexual content, graphic nudity and language.") Second, it's from Charlie Kaufman, who became known as the screenwriter of off-beat movies like Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Eternal Sunshine of the... Movie News: 'Gremlins 3' Buzz Heats Up; Watch Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Revenant' TV Spot Posted: 30 Nov 2015 01:30 PM PST Gremlins 3: Over the years, we've heard rumors that a new version of Joe Dante's Gremlins might be on its way. Recently, Zach Galligan, who starred in the 1984 original (above) and the 1990 sequel, Gremlins: The New Batch, said: "It’s not going to be a reboot. It will not be a remake in any way, shape, or form….the only thing they will be -- and apparently are going to be -- doing is something along the lines of like Jurassic World, where it will be 30 years later." The actor does not know if his character will be featured in the new movie. [Games Radar] The Girl Before: Ron Howard will direct a big-screen adaptation of a novel that hasn't been published yet. The Girl Before, written by J.P... Read More This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
