At the time, his fifth film from Sony Pictures was doing decent business, but it became pretty clear that the critical reception enjoyed by the film was decidedly harsher than every other major Spidey film, including the infamous third film from director Sam Raimi. The new movie 10 Cloverfield Lane is barely even a sequel in name. It's not "Cloverfield 2." But the use of the word "cloverfield" in the title and the fact that it's also produced by J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot shingle suggests that it's more related than it is. Instead, 10 Cloverfield Lane is the second installment in an anthology series, ala an episode of The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror. And it's a really great one at that. | Movie News: Jake Gyllenhaal Joins Ryan Reynolds in 'Life'; Halle Berry Eyed for 'Kingsman 2' Posted: 11 Mar 2016 12:00 PM PST Life: Jake Gyllenhaal will join Ryan Reynolds and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) in Life. Reynolds was previously set for the lead role, but due to a change in his schedule he is shifting to a supporting role, and Gyllenhall will take over in the lead. The sci-fi tale revolves around crew members of the International Space Station who discover that a sample from Mars contains unexpected, and possibly dangerous, surprises.
