From the dystopian future of the final installment of The Hunger Games to the Cold War tension of the newest feature from Steven Spielberg to the 19th century whaling struggle of Ron Howard's latest, these spots all have us excited in their own way.   The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 "I just wanted to save my sister." Why 'King Kong vs Godzilla' May Have Just Killed 'Pacific Rim 2'

Posted: 16 Sep 2015 05:30 PM PDT

Today the Hollywood Reporter ran a piece called "Hollywood Gorilla Warfare" exploring the shifting relationship between three of the biggest players in Hollywood - Warner Bros., Universal and Legendary Pictures - and the future of two of cinema's biggest monsters, King Kong and Godzilla. It's mainly a lot of inside baseball, but since it does effect Kong, Godzilla and, surprisingly, the fate of Pacific Rim 2, we wanted to break it down.   First, who is Thomas Tull? Thomas Tull is the CEO of Legendary Pictures, the company that has had a hand in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, 300, Watchmen, Clash of the Titans, The Hangover, Interstellar, Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, Jurassic World, and even Straight Outta Compton. Posted: 16 Sep 2015 01:30 PM PDT

Elizabeth Banks is in talks to direct a new version of Charlie's Angels, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She would also produce the movie with her partner Max Handelman. The roots of the project stretch back to 1976. Charlie's Angels, starring Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Jaclyn Smith, became a smash hit when it debuted on network television that fall, in part because it featured three strong women as private investigators, and in part because it featured three lovely women who frequently wore as little as possible on their undercover assignments. Fawcett-Majors departed after the first season and was replaced by Cheyl Ladd, and the ratings remained high. Eventually, the ratings fell, and the cast changed, and the series ended its run after five...
