Robert Zemeckis Says His 'Roger Rabbit' Sequel Would Have a Digital Bob Hoskins

Posted: 29 Nov 2016 09:00 PM PST

The sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit has been teased for decades. The book the movie was based on has received two follow-ups over the years, so the titular animated character's return to the big screen didn't seem impossible. And in 2012, we heard reports of something described as more of a prequel, with director Robert Zemeckis claiming it was all scripted and awaiting Disney approval. Posted: 29 Nov 2016 07:00 PM PST

Even if you don't happen to know the name Frank Marshall, there's a very good chance his fingerprints are on some of your favorite movies of all time. As a co-founder of Amblin Entertainment he produced Back to the Future, The Goonies, Poltergeist, Gremlins and many more '80s and '90s classics. He's been producing Indiana Jones since the beginning. Marshall is also a director in his own right, having called the shots on classics like Arachnophobia, Alive and Congo. Oh, and he also happens to be married to Kathleen Kennedy, the woman who holds the future of Star Wars in her hands.  We recently spoke to Marshall about all of this thanks to the home...

'Arrival' Concept Art Reveals Much Creepier Aliens

Posted: 29 Nov 2016 05:30 PM PST

Arrival is far from your average alien invasion movie. It might have been marketed that way, what with posters of UFOs hovering over cities and trailers that really played up the military moments. But it's a movie that's ultimately less about its captivating aliens and more about mankind and our ever fragile relationship with one another. Obviously a lot of that has to do with the nature of the script, but it's all enabled by visual designs that put the audience in the right kind of mindset to be open to the message. The final movie features contact with an alien species (partially pictured above) that is awe inspiring and yet comforting, albeit in a strange, unsettling kind of way. They're enormous, but they're gentle. They're clearly capable of great...
