'Independence Day' News Video Recaps What's Happened Since the Aliens Invaded in 1996

Posted: 03 May 2016 09:00 PM PDT

The upcoming sequel Independence Day: Resurgence has a difficult task. As a follow-up to a 20-year-old movie in which the whole world experienced both unimaginable devastation and extraordinary victory when Earth was attacked by aliens, it has to bring us up to speed on what's obviously going to be an alternate 2016. One where the planet has united in technological and military preparation for the chance that those extraterrestrial invaders return. Fortunately, the real 2016 has the technology of the internet, and through it the capability for viral videos providing back story to those who seek it out. Surely the actual movie will still have to inform the members of its audience who don't watch extra-textual promotional material, but that might be done with fairly...

It's a beautiful thing, really, and you can get in on the action May 7. I put together a list of issues you might want to look for in last week's column, but remember that you might need...

Watch Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn in Raunchy Red-Band 'Bad Moms' Trailer

Posted: 03 May 2016 01:30 PM PDT

It's funny how movies can change once the casting process begins, One year ago, Leslie Mann was set to star in an R-rated comedy "about women and the challenges of motherhood," with Judd Apatow on board as a producer. Six months later, Mann and Apatow had dropped out and Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate and Kristen Bell were tapped to star. Now the first trailer for Bad Moms has been released and it's become crystal clear that the movie will be an extremely raunchy comedy. You can watch the red-band trailer below, but beware that it's definitely not safe for work. (If you prefer the safer, green-band trailer, head over to Fandango.)
