A Heist Spirals Out of Control in Star-Studded 'Triple 9' Trailer

Posted:

Triple 9What do you do to cover up a bank robbery? Set it up so that an even bigger crime is taking place at the same time.

That's the premise we see in the trailer for the star-studded heist drama "Triple 9." This cast is incredible: Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Casey Affleck, Aaron Paul, Gal Gadot, Michael K. Williams, Norman Reedus, and Clifton Collins Jr.
Winslet plays a Russian mob boss (so awesome) who puts the screws to a gang of thiefs to pull off a nearly impossible heist. The only way they can get it done is to manufacture a "999," police code for "officer down." But things go very awry when the rookie they target foils the plan, putting everyone in a high-stakes game of life or death.

The trailer looks down and dirty, and it seems we can expect a lot of intense action and scenery-chewing (particularly on the part of Winslet).

"Triple 9" opens in theaters February 19.

Jennifer Lawrence Falls Again on Red Carpet

Posted:

'Los Juegos Del Hambre: Sinsajo - Part 2' Madrid PremiereOops, she did it again! Jennifer Lawrence took yet another tumble on the red carpet, this time at the Madrid premiere of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2."

Lawrence was wearing a long, flowing Ralph Lauren gown and very high heels, and it appears she caught a shoe in her dress while walking up the stairs. A fan caught the spill on camera: This is not the first time the Oscar winner has wiped out at a public event. She very memorably tripped on the stairs while accepting her Academy Award. At the following year's ceremony, she fell getting out of her car. She's also experienced near trips, a few minor wardrobe malfunctions, and just a few days ago, she awkwardly and accidentally kissed "Hunger Games" co-star Natalie Dormer at the movie's London premiere.

Of course, her clumsiness just makes Lawrence all the more lovable. Want more stuff like this? Like us on Facebook.

Stephen Colbert Lands Post-Super Bowl Spot

Posted:

Late Show With Stephen ColbertFor the first time in history, the Super Bowl will be followed by a late night talk show - and the honor goes to "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert."

CBS announced that a special live episode of its late night show will air immediately after the NFL championship game on Sunday, Feb. 7. The Super Bowl is television's biggest event, and it will likely propel "The Late Show" to its highest ratings ever.

Networks have almost always chosen scripted shows to air after the Super Bowl in an effort to gain new viewers for an important property (the only exceptions have been news programs like "60 Minutes"). Last year, NBC aired "The Black List"; the year before, Fox gave the spot to "New Girl" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Other notable series to get the Super Bowl boost have been "The Voice," "Alias," and "Grey's Anatomy."

After "The Late Show," CBS will air local news and then a special episode of "The Late Late Show With James Corden." Both hosts began their tenures on CBS this year.

"It's been a very big year in late night at CBS," said Glenn Geller, president, CBS Entertainment. "We're extremely proud of our two new late-night franchises, and we're thrilled to give Stephen and James this big Super Bowl Sunday showcase."

'Terminator: Genisys' Honest Trailer Slams 'The Homeless Man's Channing Tatum'

Posted:

Ouch. "Terminator: Genisys" should go back in time and fix itself so it can be spared the scorching burn of this Honest Trailer. The fifth "Terminator" movie was so disappointing to fans that most of the work was already done for Screen Junkies, but it's still pretty satisfying to see it all spelled out in this classic takedown.

After the complete failure of 'Terminator 3' and the disaster that was 'Terminator: Salvation,' you thought the franchise couldn't get any worse. You. Were. Wrong. Now prepare for a sequel so awful it's not just bad on its own right, it goes back in time to murder the only Terminator films you actually enjoyed."

The trailer fixes the annoying title spelling to "Genesis" ("there we go, that feels better"), spanks all the misused actors ("Come on, Khaleesi, you're so much better than this"), questions the nonsensical plot, wonders why the guy with the heavy Austrian accent was given the most dialogue, and ultimately changes the title yet again to "Genishyt."

Poor Jai Courtney is given especially harsh treatment:

No matter where you run, no matter where you hide, you'll never escape from Jai Courtney. The homeless man's Channing Tatum is back and he's turned Kyle Reese into a blank-faced moron where charisma goes to die."

But tell us how you really feel! Maybe it's right, maybe it's wrong, but you have to admit the whole trailer is pretty damn funny. Unless you're Jai Courtney. Then you probably just think it sucks.

Details on 'Once Upon a Time' Two-Hour Event: Ruby, Mulan, Dr. Whale Return

Posted:

Some must-watch stuff is coming this Sunday in a two-hour "Once Upon a Time" event, including Ruby, Mulan, Dr. Whale, Zelena's baby, Emma's impossible decision, and the culmination of the Camelot quest.

ABC just shared details on the two-part special, which airs November 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. Here's the rundown on the first hour, Season 5, Episode 8, "Birth," which includes the return of Dr. Whale/Victor Frankenstein:

Tensions in Camelot come to a head when Merlin, now under Arthur's control, delivers an ultimatum to Emma: hand over the Dark One dagger and the Promethean spark or he will kill her entire family. Refusing to give in, Emma and our heroes face off against Arthur, Merlin and Zelena in an epic battle of magic and will. Just when the end is in sight, Emma is forced to make a gut-wrenching choice that no one saw coming.

Back in Storybrooke, Zelena's pregnancy mysteriously accelerates and Hook goes to new and desperate lengths to get answers from the Dark Swan.

The "Birth" guest cast includes Beverley Elliott as Granny, David-Paul Grove as Doc, Michael Coleman as Happy, David Anders as Dr. Whale, Ingrid Torrance as Nurse Ratched, Elliot Knight as Merlin, Liam Garrigan as King Arthur and Joana Metrass as Guinivere.

Here's what you need to know about the second hour, Episode 9, "The Bear King," which features the return of Mulan and Red/Ruby:

Zelena and Arthur journey to DunBroch on a mission to retrieve an enchanted relic that will provide the advantage they need to vanquish Emma and our heroes. Their path will cross with Merida's, who is on a journey of her own to pay a debt that her father, King Fergus, owed to the Witch when he died.

Merida enlists the help of two friends, Mulan and Ruby, but, in order to satisfy the Witch and save DunBroch, she first must discover the identity of the knight who killed her father. In flashbacks, Merida learns about bravery and honor as she trains for combat and rides alongside Fergus into the infamous battle that claims his life.

"The Bear King" guest cast includes Meghan Ory as Red/Ruby, Beverley Elliott as Granny, Jamie Chung as Mulan, Amy Manson as Merida, Glenn Keogh as King Fergus, Caroline Morahan as Queen Elinor, Lily Knight as Witch, Richard Stroh as Edgar, Paul Telfer as Lord Macintosh, Marco D'Angelo as Lord MacGuffin, Josh Hallem as Lord Dingwall, Matthew Olsen as Brother #1, Jordan Olsen as Brother #2, Colton Barnert as Brother #3 and Liam Garrigan as King Arthur.

The next episode after the two-part special is called "Broken Heart," which gives us some not-so-pleasant clues, and it will be followed by the midseason finale, "Swan Song." (Will Emma die? Just a theory.) When OUAT returns in 2016, we'll get the 100th episode, "Souls of the Departed," probably taking us into the Underworld.

17 Times Karen Walker From 'Will and Grace' Was So Funny You Spit Out Your Vodka

Posted:

Who wouldn't want a friend who always says what's on their mind, flirts with everyone in sight, and drinks cocktails before noon like it's no biggie? Karen Walker is that friend and assistant, and she brought her signature boozy sass into "Will and Grace," helping the show become one of the most memorable sitcoms in recent history.

Megan Mullally is a national treasure, and that's why we're celebrating her and one of of her most iconic characters by looking back at some of Karen's best moments. Raise a glass and toast to Karen (or Anastasia Beaverhausen, depending on who you're talking to) and relive the hazy, hilarious memories.

Watch Deadpool Impersonate Hugh Jackman in Campaign for Sexiest Man Alive

Posted:

Screening of 20th Century Fox's This is almost too meta for non-superpowered brains to comprehend. Hugh Jackman, aka Wolverine in Marvel's "X-Men," tweeted a video of Ryan Reynolds, in full burned "Deadpool" makeup, doing an impression of Hugh Jackman and pitching the Australian actor for People's next Sexiest Man Alive.

Here's the tweet and video:

How wonderfully random! Hugh Jackman is a great choice for Sexiest Man Alive, and tweeting a video of Ryan Reynolds pitching him is a more humble way to campaign than doing his own video. But Hugh should now dress as Wolverine and (somehow?) do a Ryan Reynolds impression to pitch the "Deadpool" star for the same honor. Ryan was already the 2010 cover boy, but Hugh had the title back in 2008, so either one could be a repeat.

Who would you rather see as the next Sexiest Man Alive -- Hugh Jackman or Ryan Reynolds? Or would you pick someone else? Or would you rather People just stopped this nonsense altogether?

Opa! Here's the First Trailer for 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2'

Posted:

Break out the Windex, it's time for your first look at "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2."

Based on this trailer, the sequel promises to be as funny, sweet, and TMI as the first film. Believe it or not, it's been more than a dozen years since Nia Vardalos and John Corbett took to the big screen in the original 2002 comedy, and Nia announced at the end of June that they had finally finished filming the sequel.

Now here we are, returning to the love story to see how Ian and Toula are struggling to keep the spark alive while raising their college-age daughter and dealing with Toula's still much-too-close family. This time, Toula doesn't just have parent problems, she is a bit of a problem parent for her own smothered child.

Of course, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" wouldn't be the same without a wedding -- you may be surprised at who is set to wed -- plus more naughty sex talk from Toula's family.

Watch the trailer:

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2," co-starring Lainie Kazan, Michael Constantine, Andrea Martin, John Stamos, Rita Wilson, and Joey Fatone, is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.

Tamar Braxton Quits 'Dancing With the Stars' After Scary New Diagnosis

Posted:

Tamar Braxton and her pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy have withdrawn from "Dancing With the Stars" Season 21, marking the second heath-related departure from the Fall 2015 season, after Kim Zolciak's mini stroke. (Somebody keep a close eye on Bindi Irwin's toenails!)

Tamar was absent for most of DWTS Season 21 this past Monday, November 9, having been rushed to the hospital during dress rehearsal. At the time, it was assumed that she still had pneumonia and was struggling with that, along with a crazy busy schedule. She returned to DWTS just in time for her team dance, and she and Val were sent through to Week 10.

However, just Tamar announced on Wednesday, November 11 that her health problems are more serious, including blood clots in both lungs, and she is leaving the show and canceling the rest of her tour dates. Here's what she wrote on Instagram, with a version of the photo posted above with Val (even in the hospital, Val must expose part of his chest):

With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem. After yesterday's final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn't want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don't have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.'s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs) As you all know I will be the first to always encourage anyone to push through any obstacle that comes along one's way. But in this case, my health is my current obstacle. .. And in TRUE #tamartian form I must go about this the exact same way as I would anything else. I woke up to a mirror and saw myself this morning and that makes me the winner because that almost wasn't the case. πŸ†Take care of yourselves... I love you and thank you ALL for your support❤️ p.s. Big hugs and kisses to my boo @iamvalc for being beyond a friend, brother and the BEST partner EVERπŸ˜˜πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™Œ

Val shared a similar bedside photo:

😒😒 #teamvalentay πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΎ @tamarbraxtonher

A photo posted by Val (@iamvalc) on

He also had strong words for viewers who were not supportive of Tamar and wrote nasty comments on his previous Instagram post:
Best wishes, Tamar, heal fast! We will miss her and Val in the rest of the season.

But, long story short, this means DWTS Season 21 just quickly went down to its final four: Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter, Carlos PenaVega, and Alek Skarlatos. Will that be the final order when the season ends November 24?

Best of Late Night TV: Daniel Radcliffe's Water War, Liam Neeson's 'Candy Crush' Movie

Posted:

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

Jimmy Fallon suggested a new game for the family to play on Thanksgiving, preferably outdoors: "Water War," a twist on the card game "War," where the loser of each hand has to be doused with water. Daniel Radcliffe played Tuesday on "The Tonight Show" and, well, he's really going to need a change of underwear before that film premiere. The overall winner got to water cannon the loser. As a side note, it's hard to get used to DanRad with that shaved head. But he does NOT look like Voldemort!

Anthony Anderson told Jimmy Kimmel he gets mistaken for other famous people all the time -- like Ruben Studdard, Ice Cube, and Cedric the Entertainer. One time, in Africa, he was mistaken for Idris Elba and he figured he "got a stroke of luck and upgraded or Idris Elba done fell the hell off."
Here are two interesting things to know about "Hunger Games" star Jena Malone: She had a stunt head to appear bald in the new "Hunger Games" movie, and her grandfather popularized the dollar slot machine. She didn't even know that about her grandpa, Jimmy looked him up.
Chiwetel Ejiofor talked to Conan O'Brien about playing paintball with his "12 Years a Slave" co-star Michael Fassbender and Fassy's father. Apparently the game started friendly but Fassbender is a paintball fiend and he cheated. He's ruthless! He could've been a good Negan on "The Walking Dead."
Anna Faris and Joshua Jackson were on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and answered the acting question of what's harder, laughing or crying? So Anna and Joshua gave some crying lessons using a special tear stick. James's tears came out great, even if they blinded him.
Lucy Lawless and Bruce Campbell were on "The Late Show" and Lucy said Bruce looks just like Stephen with his glasses on, so Bruce tested the theory by taking over the show. They do look a bit alike.
Last, but not least, Stephen Colbert decided it's only a matter of time before Activision makes a "Candy Crush" movie, starring a big name like Liam Neeson. So here's "Candy Crush: The Movie" with Stephen and Liam Neeson. It's too long, but props to Neeson for even doing this.
