Marvel Studios Countdown: Vin Diesel's 'Guardians' Spinoff Talk, Plus: A Rocket and Groot Holiday Guide

Posted: 06 Dec 2016 09:00 PM PST

Some may question why a studio would pay Vin Diesel to voice one line (“I am Groot”) when that one line is going to be so altered digitally that it no longer sounds like Diesel but instead sounds believable coming out of the sapling version of Groot, but, hey, he’s Groot and that’s that. Diesel is so invested, that he teased to Screen Junkies that he’s delighted at the mere suggestion of a more Groot-centric movie than the ensemble Guardians films. “I think it’s highly possible!” said the movie star to Screen Junkies; a movie star who has teased us before with Marvel news that didn’t pan out (with a possible leading role in The Inhumans, which is no longer a movie). Diesel goes on to promise that one day Groot will fight Hulk...

Will Smith Talks More Deadshot, Says the 'Suicide Squad' Cast Is Still Texting Each Other Daily

Posted: 06 Dec 2016 07:30 PM PST

The recent Suicide Squad movie was certainly divisive; critics weren't crazy about it, but fans seemed to dig it. Say what you will, one of the highlights of the supervillain team-up was Will Smith's Deadshot. A notorious Batman villain with a wicked shot, Deadshot was introduced in Suicide Squad as a complicated and conflicted criminal who's looking to right some wrongs, especially when it comes to his kid. While doing the press rounds for his newest movie Collateral Beauty, Fandango asked Smith when we'll see Deadshot again, and while DC's newest supervillain is still unsure of when he'll be back in costume, he did reveal the Suicide Squad cast is still very much in contact with one another... daily. "I have no clue -- whenever they send me...

Disney has had a record-breaking year thanks in part to Finding Dory, which is still currently the top-grossing movie in the U.S. for 2016 (and second place for the rest of the world). You can believe they're not going to ease up on producing Pixar sequels, and in the next three years we'll be seeing Cars 3, The Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4. But they do have one original effort on the docket, a Mexico-set story titled Coco. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally know what to expect from it. Plus they shared the concept art seen above. Here's all we know:   What's Coco about? Miguel, a 12-year-old boy, is a member of the music-hating Rivera family. They believe music has cursed them, in fact, because...

'The Circle' Trailer: Emma Watson Falls for Tom Hanks' Cult-Like Tech Company

Posted: 06 Dec 2016 01:30 PM PST

Every decade gets its own wave of movies, usually thrillers, built around whatever technology is grabbing headilnes at the time. In the '80s it was all about robots (Runaway, Chopping Mall, Short Circuit, RoboCop). In the '90s it was all about the personal computing revolution (The Net, You've Got Mail, Hackers, Brainscan). The 2000s were about mobile tech (One Missed Call, Cellular, Swordfish, even The Dark Knight has a huge cell phone-related subplot). And now in 2010 we're moving into movies all about live streaming. Recently we've gotten a trio of web video thrillers that are all better than you'd expect (The Den, Unfriended, Nerve), and now a bunch of your favorite people are joining that list. The Circle stars Emma Watson, Tom...
