'Rogue One' Roundup: Opening Box Office, Deleted Scenes and Who'll Be Coming Back

Another Star Wars movie is out today, and obviously it's all everyone wants to discuss on the internet. To help organize all the chatter, we have answers to all the important questions being asked below.  How much money has it made so far?  Even though today is the official release date, Rogue One already picked up $29 million in preview showings last night. That's the year's best for Thursday night gross, beating both sides of the superhero spectrum (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made $27.7 million in March and Captain America: Civil War made $25 million). While we've been hearing a number of rumors and speculation for the last several months regarding Margot Robbie taking a more prominent role at DC Films, and spearheading an effort to get a film made featuring some of DC Comics' most iconic femme fatales, it's only just now that we're beginning to see what that film may actually look like. As we recently covered, that movie will take on a title that more recent DC Comics fans may find familiar. 'Snatched' Trailer: Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn Have a Very, Very Bad Vacation

For a while known we've known that Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn were going to co-star in a movie with the placeholder title Untitled Mother-Daughter/Action Comedy Project. This week we learned the movie is not only called Snatched, but we've got two trailers for it as well. So how does the action comedy part of it come into play? Are they a mother-daughter team of hitwomen? Are they federal agents taking on a drug cartel? Are they vigilantes taking on neighborhood crime? New Original "Industrial Musical" with Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig on Its Way

Hollywood loves success stories and La La Land is emerging as the latest. The critically-acclaimed musical, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, opened in just five theaters last weekend and scored the tenth best all-time per-screen average at the box office. Starting today, it expands into 200 theaters and is expected to enjoy similar success. Are audiences ready for more movie musicals? Dark Matter: Roland Emmerich (Independence Day: Resurgence; 2012, above) is in early talks to direct Dark Matter, based on a popular novel by Blake Crouch (Wayward Pines). The book follows a college professor who is kidnapped into an alternate world where transferring between dimensions is a reality.
