The presentation has been restored from the best available elements from the Korean Film Archive, and features brand new extras produced exclusively for this release (the previous edition, released in October, was limited to 500 copies). Almost completely unknown outside its home country, Suddenly in the Dark is one of the best examples of pre-millennial K-horror. It was made at a time when censorship laws were being liberalized, igniting a boom in horror and erotic films. Elements of both are present here, directed with bizarre flair by Go Yeong-nam in a style often compared to the wilder Italian films of the 70s and 80s. Suddenly in the Dark stars Kim Young-ae (Confession of Murder), Yoon Il-bong (Love on a Rainy Day), Lee Gi-seon (Lost Youth), Hyeon Hye-ri (Unconditional Love) and Kim Geun-hui (Encounter). | New Teaser Trailer for Tsui Hark’s ‘Journey to the West’ sequel Posted: 27 Dec 2016 11:00 PM PST  “Journey to the West 2” Teaser Poster Stephen Chow (Shaolin Soccer) and Tsui Hark (Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon) are currently putting finishing touches on Journey to the West: Demon Chapter, the sequel to Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons, which will soon be released by Sony Entertainment. For the sequel (not to be confused with the other West films that are currently in development), Hark takes over directing duties, while Chow produces. Shu Qi, Wen Zhang, and Huang Bo will return for the sequel. Joining them this time around is Vicky Zhao (14 Blades), Kris W (The Mermaid) and Kenny Lin (The Taking of Tiger Mountain). The original, which was directed by Chow (read our review), centered on Tang Sanzang, a Buddhist trying to protect a village from three demons, his emerging feelings for Miss Duan, the demon hunter who helps him repeatedly, and Sanzang’s transformative encounter with the Monkey King. | 1st Teaser Trailer.
