New 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Trailer Features Even More Hulk vs Hulkbuster Fighting

Posted: 13 Jan 2015 12:13 AM PST

The new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron has just been let loose in the world, and if you thought the first trailer's twisted use of an iconic Pinocchio song was a bit of a downer, well, you're not going to find a whole lot of change here. Oh, there's plenty of new imagery to pour over in this trailer, but the tone is still the same: The Avengers are not about to have a ton of fun. Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.   Follow @PeterSHall !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Follow @MoviesDotCom !function(d,s,id){var...

Today in Movie Culture: 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Star Wars,' 'Iron Man,' 'Frozen' and More

Posted: 12 Jan 2015 11:00 PM PST

Here are a bunch of little bites to satisfy your hunger for movie culture today:   Now that they're both part of Disney, Iron Man and Boba Fett may as well be mashed up into one. This poster is by Marco D'Alfonso (via Live for Films).   Here's what happens when Chewbacca, Groot and Hodor from Game of Thrones get together to have a chat (via Topless Robot):   Given that Frozen is basically a superheroine movie, here's an appropriate look at what a comic book starring Elsa and Anna would look like (via Geek Tyrant):   Today is the 100th anniversay of the release of the film A Fool There Was, in which Theda Bara originated the femme fatale character type known as a "vamp." Watch the...

Watch Billy Dee Williams Return to the 'Star Wars' Universe As Lando Calrissian

Posted: 12 Jan 2015 08:15 PM PST

If you're a Star Wars fan and you're not watching the new animated series Star Wars Rebels, then you really need to rectify that. This is our first good look at how Disney is handing the baton-tossing of the franchise and it's doing such a great job with it, delivering a Star Wars that's fueled by an awesome (and very familiar) old-school vibe while also expanding upon the mythology and coloring in so many other aspects of the universe. There's all that and... well, there are the cameos. Since the series takes place a few years prior to Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope, all bets are off regarding who can appear. And since it's all voice acting, many of the people who played these characters decades ago can still reprise their roles in a way that makes...

Watch: 'Multiplicity 2: Game of Clones' Trailer Hilariously Swaps Michael Keaton for George R.R. Martin

Posted: 12 Jan 2015 07:00 PM PST

Multiplicity may not be the most beloved movie Harold Ramis directed, but then again when the competition includes Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation and Groundhog Day, that's less of a knock on Multiplicity and more a testament to the sheer greatness of Ramis' other movies. But still, this delightful '90s comedy is kind of hard to hate thanks to Michael Keaton, Michael Keaton, Michael Keaton and Michael Keaton. If you haven't seen it, Multiplicity stars Michael Keaton as a harried husband who clones himself so that he can catch up on his job, wife, chores and everything else he just doesn't have time for in his busy life. Things get out of hand, however, once the clones start cloning themselves. Moderate hilarity and plenty of misunderstandings...

'Wet Hot American Summer' Sequel Series Coming to Netflix with Original Cast

Posted: 12 Jan 2015 05:30 PM PST

There's long been talk of a Wet Hot American Summer sequel (or prequel), as is normal for cult comedies that didn't do well at the box office but later found die-hard fans in the years following their release. Zoolander is another that's been discussed from the same year, although the original was at least a sizable hit if not the phenomenal success it's become since. For a while, it seemed like the best chance these movies had for follow-ups was by crowd-funding on Kickstarter to prove the interest was there. But it looks like all we had to do was just wait. Paramount recently moved forward with Zoolander 2, and now Netflix has officially taken on Wet Hot American Summer. The latter will actually be an eight-episode series rather...

Posted: 12 Jan 2015 01:35 PM PST

We already know what fans have to say regarding the comparisons of our 2015 and the 2015 from Back to the Future II ("Where are our self-lacing sneakers, Nike?!), but what do the folks who helped conceptualize the fictionalized future have to say about it all? Newsweek [via io9] spoke to "future consultant" Tim Flattery and conceptual artist Edward Eyth about their work on the popular Back to the Future sequel.  “I totally forgot that it took place in 2015,” Flattery tells Newsweek, “and once I started seeing all the stuff on the Internet about it, I went, ‘Oh yeah, of course!’” The 2015 in the movie is most notable for featuring flying vehicles, self-lacing sneakers and self-drying jackets, not to mention...
