Watch an Unofficial James Bond Movie From the Producer of That 'Power/Rangers' Short Posted: 23 Mar 2015 10:00 PM PDT If you enjoyed the gritty Power Rangers movie that caused some controversy regarding its legality this week, now it's time to become familiar with more of Adi Shankar's productions. We don't mean his commercial Hollywood features, like Lone Survivor. The Grey and Killing Them Softly, although those are recommended, too. We mean his other "Bootleg Universe" one-shot films, of which Power/Rangers was the latest. Maybe you're already familiar with his first one, 2012's The Punisher: Dirty Laundry, which brought Thomas Jane back as the Marvel Comics antihero. He also made one for the Spider-Man villain Venom and last year produced an animated Judge Dredd web series, which wasn't tied in any way to Dredd, the official comic book adaptation he worked... 'Captain America: Civil War' Directors Will Take Over the 'Avengers' From Joss Whedon Posted: 23 Mar 2015 08:30 PM PDT Even just five years ago, Anthony and Joe Russo were carving out a pretty healthy career as directors on doomed TV shows like Carpoolers, Running Wilde, and Animal Practice, about a veterinarian whose best friend is a monkey. Of course, they did also work on good shows like Arrested Development, Happy Endings, and Community, but the point is they were just small screen guys doing simple sitcoms with small casts and zero special effects. So, naturally, they're the guys who will be directing both parts of another series that has small casts and zero special effects, The Avengers: Infinity War - Parts 1 and 2. Badass Digest broke the news, which was really just confirmation of another rumor they'd broken months earlier that Marvel was so satisfied with what the Russos had... 'Chappie' Director Joins Space Whale Movie That's Like 'Jaws' Meets 'Alien' Posted: 23 Mar 2015 06:54 PM PDT Neill Blomkamp probably wouldn't be where he is today without the help of Peter Jackson, who produced District 9 after the younger director's gig helming a Halo movie fell through. Now Blomkamp is a big deal, especially with his plans to make the next Alien sequel, and it's his turn to be the benefactor. According to Deadline, he's teaming with Simon Kinberg -- writer of X-Men movies and producer of Blomkamp's Elysium and Chappie -- to oversee a feature by Ruairi Robinson based on a very hot proof-of-concept short that made the rounds on the internet last week. Based on that viral video (watch it down below), The Leviathan has been described as "Moby Dick in space," and in an interview with Film School Rejects, Robinson personally... Superhero Buzz: 'X-Men,' 'Suicide Squad,' Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and More Posted: 23 Mar 2015 05:04 PM PDT We've got a bundle full of superhero movie news today, and it comes from both sides of the unending battle between DC Comics and Marvel. Harley Quinn Margot Robbie plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, and Latino Review's El Mayimbe has revealed a few nuggets about her character's look in that movie. So if you're obsessed with costume, you'll be happy to know that Quinn's outfit will be taken from the '90s Batman animated series (which would imply a sort of latex jester's outfit), but will certainly include a few other wardrobe changes. Oh, and hardcore fans will be happy to learn that the hyenas Harley Quinn keeps as pets with the Joker do make more than one appearance in the movie. X-Men...
