The New 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation' Teaser Is 100% Badass (VIDEO) Posted: Ready or not, here comes Tom Cruise -- as IMF agent Ethan Hunt -- in the newly dubbed "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation." After watching the first, minute-long teaser from the fifth installment of the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, we're 100% ready for the badass-ness that is to come. Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Ving Rhames are back, along with newcomers Rebecca Ferguson -- a standout in the trailer, for sure -- and Alec Baldwin. This time around, Hunt and team are on a mission to take down The Syndicate, a "rogue nation" (see what they did there?) of operatives doing bad, bad things. Or, as they say in the teaser "the anti-IMF." "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" hits theaters July 31st. In the meantime, bask in the Tom Cruise-ness of the poster below. Weekend Box Office: 'Insurgent' Seizes No. 1, 'The Gunman' Misfires Posted: LOS ANGELES (AP) - Sean Penn's "The Gunman" was no match for the rebel kids of "Insurgent." According Rentrak estimates Sunday, the second installment in the "Divergent" series easily topped the box office with $54 million from 3,875 theaters. Both "The Hunger Games" and the "Twilight" films boasted opening weekend gains with their second films, but "Insurgent's" opening nearly matches that of its predecessor, "Divergent," which debuted to $54.6 million just last year. "Cinderella," meanwhile, fell 49 percent to take second place with $34.5 million. "The Gunman" did not fare as well. The Sean Penn-led geopolitical thriller opened in fourth place, behind "Run All Night," with an estimated $5 million. "Kingsman: The Secret Service" rounded out the top five with $4.6 million in its sixth weekend in theaters. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
