Posted: 19 Feb 2016 07:30 PM PST

Stephen King adaptations continue to be a major commodity, and while this week marks the debut of Hulu's 11.22.63 series, we've been getting updates on other projects associated with the author, as well. Here's what we've learned.   It After a number of delays and changes in creative players over the years, the big screen version of It will finally begin shooting this year, according to Collider. Well, "hopefully" is what producer Roy Dice told the site recently. The creepy clown movie has a permit, a new draft by Gary Doberman (Annabelle) and director Andy Muscetti (Mama) and plans for there to be two parts -- one movie focused on the POV of the characters as kids and one returning to the ensemble as adults. Disney's 'Pete's Dragon' Remake Gets a Magical Motion Poster

Posted: 19 Feb 2016 05:00 PM PST

Disney is betting big on taking its beloved animated classics and giving them live-action updates for a new generation. Cinderella and Maleficient both hit big and, based on the trailers, Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book looks like it will, at the very least, have some of the most mindblowing visuals of the year. Comics on Film: Will 'Deadpool' Start an R-rated Renaissance for Comics Movies?

Posted: 19 Feb 2016 03:00 PM PST

A movie filled to the brim with comic book and creator references, Easter eggs, and its own brand of commentary on the state of the superhero movie, Deadpool has become an unqualified success. The Proof is in the Numbers   No greater illustration of that fact exists than in looking at the worldwide grosses of every single comics-based film that's been released. As it currently stands -- according to BoxOfficeMojo -- Deadpool has already outgrossed every...

Posted: 19 Feb 2016 01:30 PM PST

Emily Blunt first caught eyes in the indie romance My Summer of Love more than 10 years ago, then nabbed notable supporting roles in The Devil Wears Prada and Charlie Wilson's War. She moved easily into leading roles opposite bigger male stars in Looper and Edge of Tomorrow, demonstrated the breadth of her talent in Into the Woods (above) and gave a great, if underappreciated, dramatic performance in last fall's Sicario. Around that time her name was dropped as a leading candidate to star in Disney's planned sequel to Mary Poppins. Rob Marshall, who directed her in Into the Woods, was set to direct, so the rumors made sense. Now comes word that Blunt is officially in talks for the Mary Poppins sequel. Variety reports that Disney wants to get production started...
