Here are a bunch of little bites to satisfy your hunger for movie culture:   Movie Mashup of the Day: After all the art mashing up Mad Max: Fury Road with Adventure Time, it's only natural we got a fake trailer for "Madventure Time" inspired by those pieces (via Devour).   Cosplay of the Day: Speaking of Mad Max: Fury Road, these War Boys bandanas make for some easy but very cool costumes (via Fashionably Geek):   Trailer Redo of the Day: Let's just let the YouTube description for this Fantastic Four tribute speak for its insane self: "4 Fantastic 4 trailers diced up and zippered together in 4 frame intervals, one frame at a time, 4 you."    Vintage Image of the Day: A special hug goes out to John...

First Look: New Photos and Plot Details For 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2'

Posted: 12 Aug 2015 08:30 PM PDT

It's been more than 13 years since My Big Fat Greek Wedding arrived in theaters, where it remained for at least 12 months as it became the top-grossing romantic comedy of all time with a global take of $369 million. Most movies that earn that much churn out a quick sequel, but most movies that earn that much aren't indies with Oscar-nominated screenplays that seem to have complete closure for their story and characters. But fans have still been hankering for a follow-up, and eventually writer/star Nia Vardalos got to work on one. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016, providing some counter-programming against another big franchise installment, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Those of you looking more...

'The Lego Batman Movie' Finds Its Joker in 'The Hangover'

Posted: 12 Aug 2015 07:15 PM PDT

The Lego Movie surprised many when it turned out to not only be a brilliant story that championed creativity and individuality, but also a huge hit, grossing over $250 million in the U.S. alone. Naturally it's then no surprise that Warner Bros. plans to chase that popularity with sequels and spin-offs. The first up of this bunch is The Lego Batman Movie, which will see Will Arnett once again voicing the hero who stole several scenes in The Lego Movie. Now, thanks to THR, we know that the minds behind the new movie have found who will play Batman's nemesis, the Joker. They're in final negotiations for The Hangover scene stealer Zach Galifianakis to take on the laugh-filled role. If the ink dries on the paperwork, that'd make Galifianakis the third official voice...

Here's How to Watch Netflix Movies at the Same Time as a Friend

Posted: 12 Aug 2015 05:00 PM PDT

As much as social media continues to dominate our lives, it's still difficult to have totally shared entertainment experiences online. Even television, which often seems like the best way to be a part of a group all live-tweeting commentary on the latest episode of an event-status program (say, Game of Thrones or The Bachelor), usually only works for fans in the same time zone. Live shows, like the Oscars or a presidential debate, are more inclusively collective, but they're not common enough. And don't even think about having any socially shared viewing of Netflix series, which are meant for subscribers to independently watch whenever they choose.  Actually, you can think about that now, because thanks to a new extension for the Chrome browser...

'The Hateful Eight' Trailer: Quentin Tarantino Promises Bullets and Blood in the Snow

Posted: 12 Aug 2015 03:37 PM PDT

This Christmas we'll be getting two gorgeously photographed movies about men fighting for their own survival deep in the snow-covered wilderness. One is the very serious The Revenant, about a man who seeks revenge after being left for dead. The other is the less-serious The Hateful Eight, about a bunch of bounty hunters all teetering on the edge of chaos when they get stuck in the same lodge together. It's basically the Deep Impact and Armageddon of our time. The first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's eighth film has just popped up online and it shows off not just his trademark humor that will certainly set The Hateful Eight apart, but the glorious 70 mm cinematography and its ridiculous ensemble cast, which includes Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason...

Posted: 12 Aug 2015 12:44 PM PDT

Pictured above: Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron struts his stuff alongside a black X-Wing fighter. And yes, there's a reason why it's black, but director J.J. Abrams is keeping that secret for now. Fans were a little bummed out to hear that no new footage or trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut during this weekend's D23 convention (rumor has it the next The Force Awakens trailer will hit in late September), but they said nothing about new images. As part of their fall preview, EW just dropped a bunch of new pics from the highly-anticipated sequel to Return of the Jedi, due out on December 18. MORE: Get new story details on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including more on Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Kylo Ren. We've got our first official look...
