Why go Double when you can go Maximum? Director Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die, Showdown in Manila) is back with Maximum Impact, an upcoming action/comedy about how Russian and U.S. secret agents join forces to prevent a full-scale international crisis.

This U.S./Russian co-production stars Alexander Newsky (Showdown in Manila), Eric Roberts (Best of the Best), Danny Trejo (Machete), Mark Dacascos (Drive), Kelly Hu (Cradle 2 the Grave), Matthias Hues (Raging Thunder) and Tom Arnold (True Lies).

The film is currently in production and due for a 2016 release. Stay tuned!

From Hong Kong director David Lam (First Shot, Street Angels) comes Z Storm, an action-packed thriller that revolves around Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and its investigation of a charity fund that has become involved in a Ponzi scheme.

Z Storm stars Louis Koo (Accident), Gordon Lam (Triad Election), Dada Chan (Flirting in the Air), Michael Wong (Nightfall), Lo Hoi Pang (Iceman) and Liu Kai Chi (Stool Pigeon).

Z Storm debuts on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on August 18th from Well Go USA. Until then, miss the film’s new North American trailer.

Liam Neeson (Taken) has accepted the role as Korean War hero General Douglas MacArthur in Operation Chromite, an upcoming South Korean actioner directed by John H. Lee (71: Into the Fire). No other actors or actresses attached to the project.

According to THR, Operation Chromite is the codename for the Battle of Incheon that took place on Sept. 15, 1950, shortly after the Korean War broke out on June 25. It was a surprise attack in which U.N. forces landed in the South Korean harbor city to drive out the North Koreans, and is recognized as a turning point for U.N.-backed South Korea against the communist North. Operation Chromite will focus on eight Korean war heroes.

Operation Chromite will be released on June 25 2016, which falls on the anniversary of the Korean War. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

If you’re in the mood for a fresh historical epic with thrilling swordplay and martial arts action, then we have news for you: Well Go USA is releasing Memories of the Sword in theaters on5, which is just a week shy of its Korean theatrical premier. The film is directed by Park Heung-Sik’s (Children of Heaven) and stars Byung-hun Lee (I Saw the Devil).

Plot: As the greed and excess of a corrupt Monarchy threatens to destroy the once-glorious Goryeo Dynasty, three legendary warriors lead a revolt to overthrow the empire and save its people. But when deceit and betrayal costs the life of a master swordsman, a plot for justice and revenge is set into motion, raging for decades between the two survivors.

Memory of the Sword also stars Jeon Do-Yeon (No Blood No Tears), Kim Go-Eun (Coin Locker Girl), Lee Joon-Ho (Cold Eyes), Lee Kyoung-Young (Kundo : Age of the Rampant), Kim Tae-Woo (Quick), Bae Soo-Bin (Fly High) and Kim Soo-Ahn (The Chosen: Forbidden Cave).
