'Mad Max: Fury Road' Gets One More Trailer to Burn the World Down

Posted: 31 Mar 2015 10:00 PM PDT

We're about to drop our jaws at cars acting like planes in Furious 7. The Avengers: Age of Ultron looks like it's going to be robot-smashing fun. It should be cool to step through the newly-built gates of Jurassic World. It'll be nice to see the Terminator again and to meet the new Fantastic Four. Basically, the 2015 summer at the movies is looking pretty great for some of our favorite big screen franchises. Even with a lineup like that, though, there's one movie that roars above the crowd with a flame-throwing guitar: Mad Max: Fury Road. We've been saying that since before Warner Bros. released the below new trailer, which is somehow even more insane than all of the ones that came before it. And the best part about it is that this doesn't even feel like...

'Suicide Squad' Casting: Killer Croc Will Chomp His Way Into the DC Movie Universe

Posted: 31 Mar 2015 08:30 PM PDT

Next year's Suicide Squad is filling up its roster so that it's literally overflowing with a who's who of DC supervillains. The latest is Killer Croc, an iconic Batman baddie, to be played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who we last saw as Kurse in Marvel Studios' Thor: The Dark World.  Someone's switching teams... Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join a stacked roster that also recently added Raymond Olubowale (Resident Evil) and Scott Eastwood (pictured below), the latter of whom is rumored to be playing a potential future love interest for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Meanwhile, Olubowale's role is not known, though Latino Review says he may be playing King Shark.  If that's the case, then between Killer Croc and King Shark, DC will be...

Watch: Michael Jackson Visit the Sets of 'Red Dragon,' 'The Goonies' and 'Home Alone 2'

Posted: 31 Mar 2015 07:30 PM PDT

Did you know that Brett Ratner and Michael Jackson were good buddies? They never worked together, exactly, but they became close following a business matter involving the making of Rush Hour. Ratner needed to get the King of Pop's approval on a moment in the comedy where Chris Tucker does one of Jackson's signature moves. "We both had this huge, almost childlike fascination with movies and music and all kinds of entertainment," Ratner said of their bond after Jackon's death -- their joint-favorite classic: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In 2002, Ratner was directing Red Dragon, his adaptation of the Thomas Harris novel, and he invited Jackson to the set. Everyone was excited, as you can see in part of the behind-the-scenes documentary A...

Vin Diesel Reveals the First Details About Who Will Be in 'Fast & Furious 8'

Posted: 31 Mar 2015 04:00 PM PDT

Furious 7 doesn't hit theaters for another three days, but already star Vin Diesel has begun dishing details about its inevitable sequel. But don't worry, there aren't really any spoilers here for either Furious 7 or whatever The Fast and the Furious 8 ends up being called, just a baiting of the hook. The current movie is anchored around Diesel's character and the core team he's been punching physics in the face with for the last few movies, but it does introduce us to a few new faces. Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey, and Nathalie Emmanuel all pop up in the movie and make big impressions, but the biggest new character we get to meet is... Mr. Nobody. Seriously, Mr. Nobody is the officially credited name of Kurt Russell's character. He's a shadowy...

'Mulan' is the Next Movie to Get a Live-Action Remake at Disney

Posted: 31 Mar 2015 02:00 PM PDT

The Disney live-action remake machine continues to stomp forward, and for a very understandable reason. Cinderella has only been out for two weeks and already it's grossed over one-third of a billion dollars. They're going to keep at this formula for quite some time. But even with Dumbo and Beauty and the Beast already in the works, it's their most recently announced remake that may end up being one of the biggest deals. Disney is remaking Mulan. At first blush that may not seem like such a big deal. Mulan certainly has its fans, but it's not one of the most beloved Disney movies of all time. Its a fairly standard retelling of a classic Chinese story about a young woman who hides her identity, enrolls in the army and becomes an unlikely warrior, icon and...

Book of Henry: Director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) will next take on Book of Henry. All that is known about the project is that Gregg Hurwitz, a best-selling crime novelist, has written an orginal screenplay, which Trevorrow says has stuck with him for years since he first read it. Production is scheduled to get underway in September, which fits in nicely before Trevorrow's other project, Intelligent Life, shoots next year. [Deadline]   Vacation: Comedy sequel Vacation is moving its theatrical release date from October 9 to July 31, when it will open against Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.
