Watch Two New Clips From 'Game of Thrones' Season 5

Posted:

Game of ThronesIn the world of "Game of Thrones," there are many paths, but no simple directions; many potential alliances, but no way of knowing whom to trust; many questions, but no easy answers.

HBO released two new clips from the show's upcoming fifth season -- which premieres April 12 -- and both feature key players trying to come to terms with their new situations. Where do they go from here?

In the first, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) questions why Varys (Conleth Hil) saved him from the dungeons of Kings Landing. "You risked your life, your position, everything - why? You're not family. You owe me nothing."

In the second, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is trying to convince an imprisoned Mance Raydar (Ciaran Hinds) to align with Stannis Baratheon. It's been Mance's "life's work uniting [the wildlings] - you didn't do it for power, you didn't do it for glory." Will he now let his people fall to the coming winter?

7 Things You Need to Know Before You See 'Insurgent'

Posted:

So you saw "Divergent" a year ago and loved it. Maybe some of you caught it on cable, bought the DVD, or rented it from Redbox recently to catch up. Perhaps you're so confused by the number of young-adult films Shailene Woodley and her co-stars have made, they're jumbling up in your head (is this the one where Miles Teller is a teen alcoholic? No. Is this the one where Ansel Elgort is her brother or her boyfriend?). I happen to know quite a few girls and women who were so distracted by star Theo James they couldn't tell you much about any scene he was in other than "Four is hot."

We get it. You might not remember everything that happened in "Divergent," so we're here to help jog your memory and to prep you for "Insurgent," the second installment in the dystopian trilogy written by Veronica Roth. Remember that - it's a middle book, so there will, once again, be a cliffhanger.

Blake Lively Glows in the Ethereal New 'Age of Adaline' Poster (EXCLUSIVE)

Posted:

age of adaline, starring Blake Lively and Michiel HuismanBlake Lively already seems to have hit the genetic jackpot, and in "The Age of Adaline" her character never ages at all. That may sound like a dream come true (especially if you get to look like her forever), but it's essentially the vampire curse -- you see the ones you love age around you, but you can't share the journey, and you have to say goodbye over and over. Aging has its benefits.

"The Age of Adaline" -- co-starring Michiel Huisman of "Game of Thrones" -- opens on April 24, but we have the first look at the new poster.

Adaline Bowman (Lively) is shown in focus, with Ellis Jones (Huisman), in shadow, over this tagline: "Adaline was ageless until she found something timeless."

The story follows how Adaline, born in 1908, survives a terrible car accident in the 1930s but something "almost magical" leaves her "immune to the ravages of time." She tries not to get too close to anyone who might reveal (or just be freaked out by) her secret, until she meets Ellis Jones, and he makes her reconsider everything. Harrison Ford and Kathy Baker play Ellis's parents, and apparently Harrison's William Jones is someone from Adaline's past. That could get interesting. The whole movie looks like a potential heart-breaker, but it should be beautiful along the way.age of adaline posterThe Age of Adaline - Trailer No. 2

'Sharknado 3' Has an Amazing New Title (and a Premiere Date)

Posted:

Sharknado 2Sharks + tornadoes = a television force that will never be stopped.

After the improbable success of both "Sharknado" and "Sharknado 2: The Second One," Syfy has been swimming forward with another sequel in the TV movie franchise. Now, it has an official subtitle - "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No" - and a release date of July 22.

The "Sharknado" series falls firmly into the category of "so bad it's good" movies, and has clearly struck a nerve in audiences. The second installment was Syfy's most-watched original movie ever.

Stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return, and are joined this time by David Hasselhoff and Bo Derek as their characters' parents. "Sharknado 3" is set on the Eastern seaboard, from Washington, D.C. to Florida. Quite a few celebrities and politicians will make cameos, including Mark Cuban as president of the United States, Ann Coulter as the vice president, and Michele Bachmann as herself.

'Get Hard' SXSW Premiere with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell hit the red carpet down in Austin at SXSW this week to celebrate their latest release "Get Hard." The R-rated comedy plays up social stereotypes not only for laughs, but also to show how ridiculous certain expectations really are. But don't take our word for it, listen to Hart and Ferrell talk "Get Hard" for yourself.

Meet the Male Clones of 'Orphan Black'

Posted:

Orphan Black
Attention, members of the "Orphan Black" clone club! As if we weren't already waiting on tenterhooks for the next season of this insanely addictive show, BBC America has released another little teaser to stoke our excitement.

Last season ended with a crazy revelation that there's a whole set of male clones, and they've kidnapped our poor Helena. Ari Millen plays the four male clones from Project Castor, and according to him, they "were raised like a little wolf pack in a military-type setting. They're self-aware and aware of each other and aware that they're multiples and different and special and that they have their own purpose. ... The differences in how they relate to each other is one of the coolest things about it." Any way you slice it, it's clear that the clones of Project Leda, played by Tatiana Maslany, are up against some very tough customers.

"Orphan Black" returns to BBC America on April 18.

This Exclusive 'Furious 7' Scene Will Really Rev Your Engine (VIDEO)

Posted:

Furious 7 - Exclusive Clip, Ft. Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Kurt Russell
A couple of nights ago, at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, TX, audiences were awarded a special treat: a secret midnight screening of "Furious 7." And it was awesome. The crowd was amazingly responsive, and the movie might be the crown jewel achievement of the entire franchise; it's a brilliant, touching, outrageously fun action masterpiece and, should it be the final chapter in the series, a totally fitting farewell. So imagine how thrilled we are that we get to premiere a brand new clip from the turbo-charged sequel. Sit back, strap in, and enjoy the ride.

The clip is a brief conversation between Vin Diesel's series mainstay Dominic Toretto and a new character called Frank Petty, played by Kurt Russell. Toretto, of course, is a street racing enthusiast and criminal and Petty is a secret agent (their conversation takes place in his tricked out command center). Don't worry about the exposition Russell has to get across, since it's really not important, even when you know what he's talking about (he wants Toretto and his crew to retrieve a missing gadget called the God's Eye, by tracking down a missing hacker); instead, luxuriate in the effortless way that Russell delivers the lines. He's just as suave as he's always been and it's great to see him on screen in a big movie like this. Diesel, for his part, is wonderful as always, growling his lines with a flinty self-awareness.

At the end of the little sequence, Toretto agrees to the terms of Petty's deal, but not without demanding that his own team be used for the job. Petty says they've already been called, and you see big shiny SUVs pull up and unload a bunch of familiar faces (Tyrese, Ludacris) with the best saved for last: a shot of the dearly departed Paul Walker, his face nearly looking into the camera.

Oh, and by the way, we should probably use this opportunity to warn you that in the closing moments of "Furious 7," you will cry. There isn't any two ways about it; you will go from cheering on the massive destruction and zooming cars, to weeping like a child that just lost their first goldfish. It's devastating and brilliantly handled, and yet another reason why "Furious 7" is such a mile-a-minute, must-see event.

"Furious 7" drives into theaters April 3rd.

'Pixels' Posits Gamers Will Save the World (VIDEO)

Posted:

Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad) and Eddie Plant (Peter Dinklage) in Columbia Pictures' PIXELS.Remember when time capsules were all the rage? The '80s were weird! In "Pixels," some geniuses decided to drop their favorite arcade games into a time capsule that was launched into space. Unfortunately, the aliens that encountered the capsule misinterpreted things and assumed this was just the beginning of an intergalactic war. So, they turned Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and other beloved characters into giant weapons that attack and pixelate whatever comes across their path.

Who're you gonna call? Well, if you're the President, you give your old crew from the arcade a call to help fight the baddies. Kevin James plays the prez, and Adam Sandler co-stars as his best friend and ace gamer. They recruit their old arcade enemies, played by Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage, and enlist a weapons expert played by Michelle Monaghan to help them save the world from Pac-Man's bottomless hunger.

"Pixels" chomps into theaters July 24, 2015.

This 'Insidious: Chapter 3' Trailer Is Creepy as Heck (VIDEO)

Posted:

Insidious: Chapter 3It's never too early in the morning for a jump scare or five, which is great news because this trailer for "Insidious: Chapter 3" is full of 'em.

The third movie in the series is a prequel that explains how psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) got involved in this whole mess to begin with. In this case, she gets involved with a teen (Stefanie Scott) who accidentally summons all sorts of gnarly dead folks when she's just trying to communicate with her dead mom. Jeez! Dermot Mulroney co-stars as the concerned dad, alongside writer/director Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson as ghost hunters.

Whannell, who wrote the screenplay as well as the first "Insidious" and the first three "Saw" movies, is making his directorial debut with this creepshow.

"Insidious: Chapter 3" will creep into theaters on June 5.

Best of Late Night TV: Leprechaun Will Ferrell Sings 'Danny Boy,' Jennifer Garner Gets Pie Smashed in Face (VIDEO)

Posted:

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

It was St. Patrick's Day Tuesday night, so the late night talk shows celebrated. There was a lot of good stuff going on, related to the holiday or not. Jimmy Kimmel got drunk and slurred his words on air while doing squats with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on his back, but wait a minute on that. Seriously, though, it was that kind of night overall.

Will Ferrell was on David Letterman's show - dressed as a leprechaun - and sang his own version of "Danny Boy," focused around snakes. It was very emotional, and left Dave in tears. Will was very serious about St. Patrick's Day and the dangers of snake attacks. It's as funny as you'd expect. Will also talked about SNL's 40th anniversary, wondering why "sour puss" Bill O'Reilly was there. Irishman Glen Hansard (from "Once") was also on Letterman, singing "Being in Love." Jennifer Garner was on "The Tonight Show," and she and Jimmy Fallon drank some green (probably fake) beer and talked about how her husband Ben Affleck cried when the Patriots won the Super Bowl. They had a babysitter situation, so he watched with his Boston buddies while she was with the kids. Jennifer, who promoted her new movie "Danny Collins," also got to play "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Pie" with Jimmy. She looked so nice, then they got pie all over her face and hair. Jimmy Kimmel was drunk - or at least seriously buzzed - during his Austin St. Patrick's Day show, and he talked to Julia Louis-Dreyfus (GORGEOUS) about "Veep" and why the show's title won't change now that Selina is president. The show will, however, change Selina's hairstyle. Julia now has a friendship with the real vice president, Joe Biden, and he tweeted that he wanted her to do exercises. So she got Jimmy to work out with her while he was drunk. She climbed on his back and he did squats. They had the best night. 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!': Jimmy Kimmel Does Julia Louis-Dreyfus Squats For Joe Biden
Zachary Quinto was on "Conan," talking about "The Slap," his hairstyles, how much his character on "Girls" is hated, and the great Leonard Nimoy. The Spocks had a strong bond. Shailene Woodley, who was just talking about clay and broth on David Letterman the other night, was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on Tuesday. She talked about couch surfing. She always wears the best outfits to these appearances, by the way.
